The spread of the Coronavirus has caused so many changes that there are likely going to be more asterisks than wrestlers in the record books. It has made for some interesting moments though and we saw another one on Wednesday. There are very few things more important to a wrestling show than commentary. The broadcast team serves in a variety of roles, including guiding the audience in the desired direction and telling them where the story is supposed to go. Calling the action is important too, as giving fans someone they are familiar with and can trust goes a long way. The long way part was in play this week, albeit in a very different way. The company has gone from setting up a marathon taping schedule to running three weekly live events in the span of a few days and not many people seem to be happy with the whole situation. She would have added something. This week’s SmackDown was a rather unique show as the episode took place at the WWE Performance Center in front of no fans. That isn’t something that viewers are going to be used to seeing but it might need to become the case. As a result, the focus was on the people in front of the camera more than ever, but one of them was not there. SmackDown was built around three big names returning to the show: Jeff Hardy, John Cena and Paige. Hardy wrestled a match and Cena went face to face with Bray Wyatt, but there was no sign of Paige. She was supposed to speak to Bayley and Sasha Banks about their disrespect to the women’s division, but she did not show up, and it turns out that there was a good reason. Paige posted a message on her Twitter account, saying that she was not at the show due to travel issues, which was the reason given for her absence on commentary. The family includes names such as the Wild Samoans, the Usos, Nia Jax and of course the Rock. They’ve been wrestlers for generations now, and there may be a new generation coming in. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson has been training at the WWE Performance Center in recent months for a potential in-ring career. Since Johnson is only seventeen years old, the training can only be on a part time basis until she turns eighteen next August. Davey Boy Smith Jr. Is Wanted By Police Over WWE Hall Of Famer Altercation

Davey Boy Smith Jr. is in hot water following an incident between himself and WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts during WrestleCon, according to Ringside News. Smith and Roberts reportedly had a confrontation in relation to Smith’s legendary father. Roberts reportedly insulted Smith’s father and refused to apologize for it. This led to Smith throwing coffee at Roberts. There were battery charges out there on Smith, but F4WOnline has reported that Roberts will now be dropping the charges so Smith won’t face any criminal prosecution from the ordeal. This doesn’t appear to be the case, according to the Wrestling Observer.Dave Meltzer indicated on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that reports of Lesnar leaving WWE once his contract expires to pursuit a career in the UFC are premature and he wouldn’t take these reports serious. Meltzer has a hard time believing that Brock would turn down “easy money” working for WWE at his current age of 40. The belief is that WWE is the better long-term option for Lesnar at his age.In regards to UFC’s Jeff Novitsky shooting down reports that Brock Lesnar has not entered into the USADA drug testing pool, Meltzer said that he could enter the pool today and be ready to return for a fight early next year. Meltzer doesn’t believe that Lesnar will fighting for the UFC at the end of this year and also hinted that a fight early next year wouldn’t pan out well because of the <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/event/royal-rumble" title="Royal Rumble">Royal Rumble</a> and the risk of him possibly getting hurt.As far as possible opponents for Brock if he does make a UFC return, Meltzer named Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones as potential fights.

Paige Might Be Charged With Battery Over Airport Incident
