Ric Flair Ends Podcast As Blowup With Co-Host Leads To Nasty Exchange

It’s a bad ending. The rise of podcasting has changed the way wrestlers are able to communicate with their fans. There are now all kinds of wrestling podcasts, where wrestlers are able to talk about whatever topic they choose, possibly answering fans’ questions or conducting interviews at the same time. Some of the biggest names in wrestling have a podcast, but now one of them is going to undergo a major, which didn’t come well. Ric Flair and former WCW broadcaster Mark Madden have ended their Flair Uncensored podcast, which saw Flair as host and Madden as co-host. However, the wo have gotten into a Twitter argument over what happened, which has spilled into an exchange of personal insults. Madden says that he left the show while Flair says that Madden was fired. The two went back and forth, with Flair announcing that he will be debuting a new podcast with his son-in-law Conrad Thompson starting next month. I am leaving the @FlairUncensored podcast effective immediately. It’s not a g..

Opinion: CM Punk & AEW – Historically Awesome Goosebumps and Harsh Reality

He’s back. And he’s All Elite. After much anticipation and many rumors regarding his status, CM Punk made his long-expected AEW debut tonight on Rampage. In front of 15,000 fans in the United Center in Chicago, Punk provided all of us with one of the coolest and special moments in the history of professional wrestling. [This post contains video, click to play] A couple of disclaimers before you continue: If you’ve read any of my opinion pieces in the past or heard me on various podcasts, such as The Pipebomb and The Hoots Podcast, you know that I cannot stand both CM Punk or AEW. I am on record saying that I think that Phil Brooks is a sniveling, whining baby who only cares about getting himself over and getting paid, and couldn’t give a damn about the people who made him a star. Also, I think that as a wrestling company, AEW is a complete joke and has done nothing but create a parody of professional wrestling. The Elite has managed to convince a wrestling mark billionaire that th..

WWE Announces New Major Partnership For Podcast Network

It’s another way to go. WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and that means that they are going to be available in a lot of different ways. This includes all kinds of things other than just watching the wrestling product as WWE offers various other forms of media. One of WWE’s favorite things to do is talking about wrestling and now they are going to have something new. WWE has announced a new partnership with the Ringer for an audio network on Spotify, which will now serve as the official home for WWE’s collection of podcasts. The Ringer will continue its own original podcasting, though some of it will be adjusted, including The Masked Man Show becoming the Ringer Wrestling Show. Here is the full press release: The Ringer and WWE® Launch Exclusive Audio Network 08/18/2021 Spotify Becomes Exclusive Home for WWE Podcasts Partnership Kicks Off this Week at SummerSlam with Live Recordings from MGM Grand ..

KB’s Review: The Ghost Of Montreal

Twenty three years ago this week, the Montreal Screwjob took place at Survivor Series 1997. I’m not going to bother going into a big recap of the incident because it’s the most infamous night in the history of professional wrestling. There have been books, documentaries, podcasts and everything else you can imagine written/said/everything else about the whole thing. Everyone has talked about this at some point but today we are going to look at something that isn’t discussed enough. The Montreal Screwjob was a perfect storm of everything going wrong all at once. Between Bret Hart, Vince McMahon, WCW and everything else going on at the same time, there are only so many ways that this could have gone. The tensions were very high and after Hart had spent months talking about how he was getting screwed and everyone was against him, something huge taking place almost made perfect sense. It would have been easy to assume that it was just a storyline, though later on the details would come ou..

Tony Schiavone Shares That He Did Not Want To Work For MLW When The Job Was First Offered To Him

The voice of WCW discusses the growth of MLW. 20-year pro wrestling commentator Tony Schiavone is continuing his tenure in the business as the lead commentator for Major League Wrestling which was founded by former WWE creative writer Court Bauer. Recently, the promotion struck a deal with 'BeIN Sports' and their 'Fusion' show is currently airing on the sports network. While speaking with the Baltimore Sun, Schiavone revealed that when Bauer originally presented the gig to him as lead commentator it was not something that he was too keen on seeing as how he considered himself retired from the business. “To be honest, I didn't want to do it. I had walked away from the business,” Schiavone said. “But Court's MLW, which hosts podcasts, he gave me a start with my podcast and I thought that I'd do it to say thanks for what you've done for me. Then I got into it and I realized that there's some great kids who are trying to get ahead and make a n..

Steve Austin Reacts to Rumors of Being at RAW Last Week

<p>There were rumors that ‘Stone Cold’ <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/steve/" title="Steve">Steve</a></strong> Austin was going to be on RAW and even that he was spotted last week from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Austin responded to the rumours on the latest episode of his podcast, <a href="http://podcastone.com/Steve-Austin-Show-Clean" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Steve Austin Show</a>.</p><blockquote> <p>“There has been word on the street, on my Twitter account, on all the sheets, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has indeed been spotted at the Staples Center. Well I can vouch for you or I can clarify that <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/right/" title="right">right</a></strong> now; if somebody thought they spotted me, they was wrong.”</p> </blockquote><p>Austin continued:</p><blockquote> <p>“I’m at 316 gimmick street in Marina del Rey. Staples Center is about 20 miles from my house, I ain’t nowhere in sight, I ain’t wearing camo, you can’t see me, because I ain’t there. I’m here at the house laying down an open for this damn podcast.”</p> </blockquote><p>The rumors were based on the fact that Austin is known to attend the shows and record his podcasts backstage whenever WWE comes to LA, and particularly, the <a href="https://twitter.com/WWEShop/status/879338582636457988" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">new “Los Angeles 3:16” t-shirts</a> that were on sale on the venue.</p>

Vince Russo Files Restraining Order Against Jim Cornette

<p>Well the on-going real life feud between former WWE creative writer Vince Russo and Jim Cornette continues. This time around, Vince Russo has filed a restraining order against because he feels that he is being stalked by Cornette.</p><p>For those not following the drama, Cornette made an offer to meet up with Russo at an undisclosed location with $5,000 in hand. Cornette said Russo can have the money if he can take it from him. Russo then issued a sarcastic apology <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/video/" title="video">video</a></strong>, which Cornette responded to with his own video as well. The two have continue to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/trade/" title="trade">trade</a></strong> shots between each other on various wrestling podcasts. This all started when Eric Bischoff and Cornette decided to continuously <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/bring/" title="bring">bring</a></strong> up Russo on the the WWE Network’s “Table for 3” show.</p>

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Karma Gets Jeff Jarrett, Responding to Corey Graves, More!

<p>Russo says that he can’t believe how much people are talking about him lately, whether it be on their podcasts or on the WWE Network. He says that he’s currently waiting on a bill from WWE for all the promotion that he has been receiving lately that frankly, he wouldn’t be able to afford. At this point, he’s starting to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/think/" title="think">think</a></strong> it’s all a rib.</p><p>Russo comments on the recent passing of Adam West. He says that the original Batman (Adam West) was his first hero, and he looked up to him as a child. There have been only two people in the world that he really wanted to meet, Gene Simmons and Adam West. He was lucky enough to meet Simmons during his time working in WCW, and years later he was able to meet West.</p><p></p><p>Russo said he had one question that he really wanted to ask West, “How were you able to portray that Batman character so perfectly?” West looked at him and said, “Vince, the first time they gave me the script and I read the script, I got it.” West knew right away what the Producers and Writers wanted from this character and he was able to get into that frame of mind right from the start.</p>

Ryback Criticizes Nia Jax’s Tweet About WWE Creative

<p>On a recent episode of his podcast, <em><strong>Conversation with the Big Guy, </strong></em>Ryback let out his thoughts on Nia Jax’s controversial tweet about the WWE Creative. Jax had tweeted criticizing the red brand’s creative team by pointing out how RAW doesn’t use all it’s women wrestlers while its rival brand, SmackDown LIVE does.</p><p>The tweet was then quickly taken down by Jax herself as it was garnering a lot of attention and possibly made the creative look really bad.</p><p>Here are Ryback’s comments on the said issue : (quotes credit ewrestlingnews.com)</p><p><em>“Everybody is frustrated there, from top to bottom. She’s been handed a lot <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/early/" title="early">early</a></strong> on, in my opinion. It’s very early on to make a comment like that and when I saw that I totally understand it, like, if you are not on TV a couple of weeks is frustrating. With her character on TV, it’s not like they can just throw her in random. It could be a good TV that you’re not on TV every week. If you’re being booked for live events, who the f**k cares? You’re making money until they find something good for you, but when you go and make comments like that, there’s no good that comes out of that because it’s not like real sports where you control the outcome. It’s writers and Vince, they control your character and they can write her and job her out every week. She has to either go do it or not do it and get released, so she put herself in a real bad position by making comments like that on social media. It reminded me of that guy with Lord Tensai, Sakamoto. I remember there was Japanese heat for another Japanese guy coming on the roster, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/yoshi/" title="Yoshi">Yoshi</a></strong> had gone on social media and made a comment. If we were in UFC it’d be cool, you may have gotten yourself booked for a big fight and a big payday, but in pro-wrestling you can’t go on there and say that. A week later he got Jobbed out on RAW. That is what it reminded me of because no good ever comes out of it, but she’s young, so it is what it is.”</em></p><p>You can <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/check/" title="check">check</a></strong> out all our other podcast recaps from Jim Ross, Taz, Ryback and many more <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/category/podcasts/">at this link</a>.</p>

Jim Cornette Challenges Vince Russo to Face-to-Face Meeting

<p>The following audio clip of Jim Cornette challenging former WWE writer Vince Russo to a face-to-face meeting was published to his Talking Sense YouTube channel. For those not keeping track, the two have been bad mouthing each other on their podcasts ever since the “Table for 3” episode aired on the WWE Network that saw both Eric Bischoff and Cornette making remarks about Russo.</p><p><em>“Here it is finally! Jim Cornette issues a challenge to meet up with Vince Russo at a time and place of his choosing, away from police, an audience and public announcement, for a final showdown between the two bitter enemies. THAT is how to cut a promo!”</em></p>
