AEW Star Suggests Tag Team Might Have Split

They might be done. Tag teams have a long history in wrestling and the modern era has seen a new emphasis on the idea. There are all kinds of great teams out there and a lot of them are in AEW. During its history, the company has presented several teams, allowing a variety of wrestlers a chance to shine. That being said, not every team can be around forever and now one star is heavily suggesting that his team is coming to an end. During a new interview on the Cafe de Rene with Rene Dupree podcast, AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. implied that the Varsity Blonds, his team with Griff Garrison, was done. Pillman talked about how AEW took away Julia Hart, who joined the House Of Black, which ended the team’s appeal. He also said that he hoped when people looked back on the team, they did so fondly. It’s long overdue. There are certain times when you see a pair of wrestlers who seem like they are a perfect fit. It might be them facing off or teaming together, but it can make for some fascinating moments when they finally make it happen. This can be all the more common in modern wrestling with different promotions around the world and that was the case again this weekend. Over the weekend, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart managed FTR at a Big Time Wrestling event in Webster, Massachusetts. The match saw FTR defeat Brian Pillman Jr. and Brock Anderson, who had Brock’s father Arn in their corner. SmackDown Star May Be Missing Time After Brutal Match At Hell In A Cell

Maybe that’s how they get rid of him? There are a lot of different ways to get a wrestler off of television from time to time. Sometimes it might be due to an injury but it can also be a way to get them a breather for one reason or another. You never know when you might be seeing them again and that seems to be the case again with a SmackDown star who seems to be taking time off. This weekend at Hell In A Cell, Madcap Moss defeated Happy Corbin in a No Holds Barred match. Moss won the match by Pillmanizing Corbin’s neck with the steel steps. As a result, Corbin was taken out of the ring on a stretcher, suggesting that he could be missing some time. This comes less than a month after Corbin did the same to Moss, putting him on the shelf for three weeks. Opinion: Corbin taking some time away might be the right idea, as it will make Moss look that much stronger. It’s a group project. Wrestling and acting have a weird relationship, as wrestlers are acting but when it comes to acting, they are only seen as wrestlers. You will occasionally see a wrestler who has success in the acting world but they are often few and far between. Every wrestler turned actor has to start somewhere though and now we might be seeing that be the case again. Film director Michael Matteo Rossi has announced that Impact Wrestling’s Tenille Dashwood has been cast in his upcoming film The Charisma Killers. Dashwood is at least the third wrestler who will appear in the film, along with Jessie McKay and Brian Pillman Jr, whose participation was announced earlier this month. This can take a lot of time, but being able to get the right look, the right style, the right persona and more can make all the difference in the world. Now a star might be getting an overhaul, which could be to his benefit. Last week on SmackDown, Happy Corbin attacked Madcap Moss and Pillmanized his throat, resulting in Moss being taken out of the arena in an ambulance. According to Wrestlingnews.co, there have been pitches to change Moss into a more serious character, including dropping his jokes and changing his gear. There is no word on if these pitches have gone anywhere or when Moss will return to television. It’s something new for him. Wrestlers have a weird relationship with acting, as while they are acting on a wrestling show, they are always seen as wrestlers instead of actors. There are some wrestlers who are very talented at acting though and occasionally you will see someone trying their hand at acting in a bigger way. That seems to be the case again with an AEW star. At the same time, there are wrestlers who WWE will want to use on a regular basis because they have plans for them. That seems to be the case with a wrestler who might not be around much in the near future, as WWE seems to have written him off television for the time being. That can make for some outstanding moments if you can wait long enough to actually see them. There is a current pairing that fans have been clamoring for and now we will be getting to see it, albeit on a slightly smaller stage. Big Time Wrestling in Webster, Massachusetts has announced that Bret Hart will be managing FTR in a tag match against Brian Pillman Jr. and Brock Anderson on June 10. Does anyone like him? There are certain villains in wrestling who almost could not be a good person if they tried. These often make for the best heels in all of wrestling and it can be absolutely great to see some of these people allowed to let loose on the microphone. THIS SmackDown Segment Drew Highest Wrestling Audience In Months

It got the attention. The Women’s Revolution has been going for over five years on WWE television but it really started years before. Down in NXT, the Four Horsewomen became the cornerstones of the movement and they took those talents up to the main roster. The four of them have feuded with each other in various combinations for years and now one of them has gotten some serious attention. Last week on SmackDown, Bayley and Sasha Banks lost their rematch for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Banks was injured during the match which ultimately cost them their title shot. After the match was over, Bayley attacked Banks and went after her already injured knee, followed by Pillmanizing Banks’ neck. This was a long time in the making and the fans were rather interested.
