She’s Back: Wrestling World Reacts To Saraya’s In-Ring Return

It was a special moment. There are a lot of reasons for a wrestler to have to leave the ring earlier than expected, with injuries or medical issues often being near the top of the list. It can be devastating to see someone have to retire early but every now and then, you see someone get to come back to the ring after retirement. Now we are seeing it again and the wrestling world is reacting. This week on AEW Dynamite, Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, announced that she was cleared to return to the ring and would be facing Britt Baker at Full Gear on November 19. Saraya was forced to retire from the ring in 2018 following a spinal injury, leaving it doubtful that she would ever wrestle again. Two WWE Stars set For Hulu Reality Series

A different kind of show. Wrestlers are larger than life characters and you never know what you are going to see when they get in the ring. Their personalities are given the chance to shine through and it makes for some special moments when they get to do something that you would not see in day to day life. Now you might get to see something that goes in a different, yet still interesting direction. During WWE’s Q3 earnings call this week, WWE co-CEO Nick Khan announced that an upcoming series revolving around Montez Ford and Bianca Belair is set to air on Hulu. The series will run for eight episodes but no release date was announced. Ford and Belair are married and both wrestle on Monday Night Raw. In a related note, it was also announced that WWE and Hulu have extended their broadcasting rights deal for Monday Night Raw to last through the rest of their current broadcasting deal. Yes, almost again. There are a lot of different kinds of personalities in any wrestling locker room and sometimes those personalities can clash in a bad way. It can be rough seeing things break down between stars but there is very little that can be done to avoid the situation entirely. Now we are hearing about what was almost another backstage brawl between AEW stars. During the latest episode of Konnan’s Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan spoke about the backstage issues in AEW between Santana and Ortiz. Konnan said that he heard that their issues almost led to a physical altercation between Santana and Eddie Kingston, though there was no reason given for what led to the issue. There is no word no why Santana and Ortiz’s relationship has broken down. It should also be noted that any Kingston and Santana incident would have taken place in May at the earliest, as Santana has been out of action with a knee injury. They are some of the people who matter. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year remains the backstage brawl after AEW All Out. A group of wrestlers including CM Punk and the Elite got in a huge fight, resulting in several suspensions. It also suggested quite the divide backstage in AEW, but now we might know a bit more about whose side seems to be more popular. According to a Pro Wrestling Torch audio show, the Young Bucks are mostly seen as good guys backstage in AEW. This includes wrestlers feeling like Punk should not have spoken about them as he did at the All Out media scrum. Omos Reveals His One Of A Kind Medical Issues

That sounds worse. Wrestlers are larger than life characters with personalities that are often over the top and meant to be as big as possible. That can often come with bodies that are literally larger than most, as you see some wrestlers who dwarf most normal people. However, those wrestlers have their own issues, and now one of the biggest wrestlers ever has revealed some previous problems. During a recent appearance on the Out Of Character podcast, Monday Night Raw star Omos revealed that he had a brain tumor removed when he was 18 years old. Omos was playing college basketball at the time when an MRI revealed the tumor. As he was getting ready to have the tumor removed, he was diagnosed with partial Cushing’s Disease. Omos said that he was the first person ever recorded with a tumor on his pituitary gland, a brain tumor and Cushing’s Disease, which resulted in a medical journal article about his case. What makes them all the more interesting is the fact that eventually the cameras go off and the wrestlers become themselves. That often puts them into more common situations, but this time around even the normal situation had a bit of a twist. Wrestling legends JJ Dillon, under his real name of Jim Morrison, and Kevin Sullivan appeared on Judge Steve Harvey this week. The two were involved in a case involving $7,500 that Dillon loaned Sullivan to buy a boat. Dillon said to “pay him back whenever”, which Sullivan thought meant he had more time. Harvey mentioned being a wrestling fan and the two discussed some of their careers. Eventually Harvey ordered Sullivan to pay the money, though the court footed the bill as a thank you for the years of entertainment.
