Who Will Induct Rey Mysterio Into The WWE Hall of Fame?

It’s an interesting choice. It had been previously reported that Rey Mysterio will be given the ultimate honor within WWE, and become a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2023. But who will be the one to induct Mysterio? According to a report from Dave Meltzer, former WCW superstar Konnan will do the honors of bringing Mysterio into the Hall of Fame. From Wrestling News: Konnan was the most obvious choice because they have been close for decades, dating back to Rey and Konnan’s early days in the wrestling business. This might be Konnan’s first appearance at a major WWE event. Konnan wrestled briefly as Max Moon on non-televised matches in 1992 but those matches never aired and he left the company before the character debuted on TV with Paul Diamond playing the role. Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. Smackdown Date: March 10, 2023 Location: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett We are just over three weeks away from Wrestlemania and the biggest development coming into this show was Jey Uso rejoining the Bloodline by taking out Sami Zayn. That seems to be the step that we have been waiting for on the way to whatever the Usos and Zayn are going to be doing at Wrestlemania so we might see something big tonight. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Jey rejoining his brother Jimmy on Smackdown. Cody Rhodes made the save to tie it into the World Title situation. The Usos arrive and are greeted by Paul Heyman. They’re On: Three More Matches, Including Title Match, Set For WrestleMania 39

On the card. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39 and that means the card is rapidly getting set. The show will again be held over two nights and there are even more matches that need to be set up. Sometimes you will see a bunch of matches being set up at the same time, which was the case this week, as multiple matches were set up on the same night. There were three new WrestleMania 39 matches set up this week on Monday Night Raw. First up, Logan Paul and Seth Rollins had a showdown, where Paul said that he would face Rollins on a bigger stage. WrestleMania host the Miz agreed to get the match made and it was set later in the show. Second, Austin Theory interrupted John Cena and challenged him to a US Title match at WrestleMania. After insulting Theory, Cena accepted the challenge. This match has been teased since Cena and Theory met backstage last June. It will be Cena’s first singles match since Summerslam 2021. Monday Night Raw Date: March 6, 2023 Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than a month away from Wrestlemania and tonight is going to be one of the bigger shows, as John Cena is back. There is a good chance that we get his Wrestlemania match set up this week, as he is running out of time. Other than that, we also get a face to face staredown between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. Let’s get to it. The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) arrived earlier today, with Heyman reiterating Roman Reigns’ orders to deal with Sami Zayn. Now Zayn escaped on Friday, so he must be here in Boston tonight. Instead, Sikoa is going to solve the Kevin Owens problem tonight, and Jimmy will solve Zayn, whether Jey is here or not. What Could Have Been: Here Are WWE’s Original (And Different) John Cena WrestleMania Plans

What could have been. We are getting pretty far down the Road To WrestleMania 39 and that means things are starting to come together. You can see a lot of the matches that are planned for the show and there is little mystery left for most of the company’s bigger names. That does not mean that we are seeing the original lineup though, and now we know something else that was planned for the show. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double Special: WWE Legend Returns To Help Crown New Champions On Monday Night Raw According to Fightful Select, WWE had originally planned for John Cena to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39. However, around mid to late December, plans changed with the focus being more towards Cena vs. Austin Theory. There is no word on why WWE made the change and switched to Cena vs. Theory and Paul vs. Seth Rollins. Keep It Quick: How WWE Helped Cody Rhodes With Sami Zayn Fans On Monday Night Raw

They had a plan for that. We are less than forty days away from WrestleMania 39 and WWE has set up the main event. Cody Rhodes is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, but there is a bit of a wild card in the whole situation. That would be Sami Zayn, who has become one of the most popular stars in WWE. It seems that the company had a way to deal with the situation though and it was on display this week. There had to be a limit. One of the bigger wrestling stories over the last several months has been the return of several former WWE stars to the company. WWE released well over 100 wrestlers from their contracts over the previous year and a half, but now the Triple H regime has brought several of them back. However, things might be changing a bit as we move forward. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Deserve It: WWE Hypes Several Records Broken At Elimination Chamber Earlier this month, a report said that WWE was negotiating with the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering about a return to the company. A manager often serves as a wrestler’s mouthpiece and gets the fans to care about him more than the wrestler can make happen on their own. Occasionally an on-screen manager has some off-screen responsibilities and now a former WWE manager might be helping some old clients.
