Smackdown Date: October 14, 2022 Location: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana Commentators: Wade Barrett, Michael Cole We’re on the road to Crown Jewel but this is going to be the Bray Wyatt Show. After not appearing on Monday Night Raw Wyatt is advertised for this week’s show, meaning we might get an idea of what the new version will be like. It’s Never Too Early: Possible News On 2023 Royal Rumble
Pack your bags. We are still fresh off of WrestleMania 38, to the point where WWE’s followup pay per view is called WrestleMania Backlash. WWE focuses a lot of its year around WrestleMania, but the Road To WrestleMania often begins at the Royal Rumble. Now we might know what we will be seeing for the next Royal Rumble, which might be heading for the big city. According to Fightful Select, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas is the current favorite to host the 2023 Royal Rumble. If the Royal Rumble is held in the Alamodome, it would be the third time that the venue has hosted the show, following 1997 and 2017, plus the fourth time the city of San Antonio has hosted, including 2007. New Orleans and Seattle are also interested in hosting the event, though WWE has yet to make an announcement on the venue. There are some important matches set up for this card and there is a good chance that we could be in for a fun one. Monday Night Raw Date: September 10, 2018 Location: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana Commentators: Renee Young, Michael Cole, Corey Graves It’s the go home show for Hell in a Cell, though I’m not sure how much attention that is going to get since we’re about a month away from Super Show-Down and a month and a half away from Evolution. WWE doesn’t seem to mind about going that far into the future so Sunday might not get the most attention. Let’s get to it. Here are Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman to open things up with the roster (the lower portions of it that is) around the ring. Trent Seven Provides His Opinion On WWE Looking To Expand Into The UK
WWE Superstar Trent Seven spoke with The Mirror ahead of the UK Championship Tournament where he provided his opinion on the company’s expansion to the UK and Toni Storm reportedly being signed. First Match Set For Takeover: Chicago II
That’s a heck of a start. With less than a month to go before Takeover: Chicago II, there isn’t actually anything on the card. You can guess what some of the matches will be just by paying attention to television, but you need something a little concrete on the card instead of matches that might take place. WWE seems to have picked up o the lack of matches and added one the day after TV instead of just announcing it on the air, but at least it’s something. As announced today on WWE.com, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will be challenging the Undisputed Era’s Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. The match was set up last week with Lorcan and Burch scoring a pin in a six man tag also involving Pete Dunne, defeating the Undisputed Era, also including Adam Cole. Reason Why Ronda Rousey Hasn’t Had Singles Matches Yet
Before her match at WrestleMania 34, the WWE Universe had a lot of questions about Ronda Rousey being able to perform inside the squared circle. Most people are curious how Rousey will perform in a singles matches after stealing the show in New Orleans. The expectation was she’d wrestle Mickie James during WWE’s European tour, but she’s been booked for tag team matches instead. According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason why WWE officials made those changes are due to Ronda’s in-ring ability. Davey Boy Smith Jr. Is Wanted By Police Over WWE Hall Of Famer Altercation
Davey Boy Smith Jr. is in hot water following an incident between himself and WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts during WrestleCon, according to Ringside News. Smith and Roberts reportedly had a confrontation in relation to Smith’s legendary father. Roberts reportedly insulted Smith’s father and refused to apologize for it. This led to Smith throwing coffee at Roberts. There were battery charges out there on Smith, but F4WOnline has reported that Roberts will now be dropping the charges so Smith won’t face any criminal prosecution from the ordeal.
