Update on Nikki & Brie Garcia’s Wrestling Future

It came from the source. It had been previously reported that the Bella Twins were officially leaving WWE for good and had rebranded themselves as Nikki and Brie Garcia. One of the main questions that has risen is the wrestling future, particularly when it comes to AEW. That question was answered today on Instagram Live, where Nikki confirmed that her and her sister would not be going to AEW. This week, Wardlow posted a video to Twitter, revealing that someone broke into his rental car and stole his bags. These bags contained all of his wrestling gear, from his attire to his boots to the TNT Title itself. There is no word on if AEW has another version of the belt. This is the second time that an AEW title was stolen, as the World Title belt was stolen during Chris Jericho’s reign. It was eventually returned by someone who found it elsewhere. That was rough. WWE Announces King and Queen of the Ring 2023 Event

New royalty will be crowned. WWE has issued the following press release, announcing the 2023 King and Queen of the Ring event: The General Entertainment Authority, in cooperation with WWE, has announced that WWE King and Queen Of The Ring will be held at the Jeddah Superdome, the world’s largest pillarless Superdome, on Saturday, May 27, 2023. WWE King and Queen Of The Ring is happening in Jeddah, alongside a host of additional exciting events happening in Jeddah throughout the year. This marks the first King Of The Ring Premium Live Event to be held since 2015 and the first crowning of a Queen since the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament which took place at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh in 2021. The wrestlers are talented and there are all kinds of people who can do a variety of things, but only a few are able to connect with the audience in a special way. One of the more popular wrestlers with that ability might not be around the company for a little while. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a Face Of The Revolution ladder match with eight stars. Early in the match, Eddie Kingston and Ortiz brawled off with commentary saying they had to be separated. Following the show, AEW aired a video, showing Kingston being interviewed. She’s back. The main event of tonight’s episode of Raw featured a steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley that was originally supposed to take place at Raw XXX. While Bayley would have backup with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, it appeared that The Man had some backup too. In the closing moments of the match, Lynch was getting ready to escape the cage, when interference from Kai and Sky prevented The Man from getting out. Just when it looks like Bayley was going to get the win, WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her return to television to even the odds. She would fight off Damage Control, slam the door in Bayley’s face, and allow Lynch to get the win. This was similar to the talent meeting that he held prior to last week’s episode of SmackDown. Sometimes you need a new job. At tonight’s Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view event, Frankie Kazarian announced that he had signed a new, long-term contract with the promotion. Kazarian cut a promo during the show, stating that after wrestling from Impact, he had to decide whether to remain complacent and be with “people he thought were his friends” or push himself and he chose to push himself. According to a report from PWInsider, after his 40-minute match with Josh Alexander, Kazarian asked AEW to be released and it was granted. It was said to be a completely amicable situation based on Kazarian wanting to push himself harder as he’s getting closer to the latter point of his career. In Impact, he’d had a chance to be more in the mix than he’d likely be able to get the opportunity to do in AEW, given how massive that company’s roster is.
