Who Will Induct Rey Mysterio Into The WWE Hall of Fame?

It’s an interesting choice. It had been previously reported that Rey Mysterio will be given the ultimate honor within WWE, and become a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2023. But who will be the one to induct Mysterio? According to a report from Dave Meltzer, former WCW superstar Konnan will do the honors of bringing Mysterio into the Hall of Fame. From Wrestling News: Konnan was the most obvious choice because they have been close for decades, dating back to Rey and Konnan’s early days in the wrestling business. This might be Konnan’s first appearance at a major WWE event. Konnan wrestled briefly as Max Moon on non-televised matches in 1992 but those matches never aired and he left the company before the character debuted on TV with Paul Diamond playing the role. Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. As noted last night, to me it was the only choice. — Dave Meltzer (@davemeltzerWON) March 11, 2023 Editor’s Opin..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considering Two Huge Backlash Main Events

You need a followup. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39, which will include some of the biggest matches and moments of the year. Some of the top matches will have a major impact on what WWE does for the next several months, if not that much longer. However, there is a lot going on after the show is over and now we have an idea of what to expect. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Long Move: Interesting Note On WWE’s Change To Premium Live Events According to Xero News, WWE is considering two main events for Backlash, the next Premium Live Event after WrestleMania 39. The other option would be Rhodes teaming with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to face Reigns and the Usos in a non-title match. There is no word on which way WWE is leaning. The Long Move: Interesting Note On WWE’s Change To Premium Live Events

It’s a good change. WWE has been around for decades and over the years, the company has built up a variety of traditions. Several of these have come and gone, but there are some things that are almost hard to imagine changing. That can make for some jarring moments when the switches do happen, but now we are seeing the reception to one such change. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That’s Different: WWE Makes Huge Announcement About Backlash, Bad Bunny Set For Major Role For decades, WWE has mainly presented its Premium Live Events on Sunday nights with very few exceptions. However, in recent years, WWE has begun presenting such events on Saturdays as well. According to Fightful Select, WWE sources have said that the change in schedule has been viewed as positive. There is no word on what caused WWE to make the change or if it will continue going forward. They have gone well. REVIEW: WrestleMania 29: Round Two

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Wrestlemania XXIX Date: April 7, 2013 Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Attendance: 80,676 Commentators: Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s Rock vs. John Cena II and I don’t think you need to hear anything else about the main event. With that match out of the way, the biggest name left is the Undertaker, who will be facing CM Punk in a match that might have been better had it been for the title. This time it’s personal though, as Paul Bearer had recently passed away, leaving ..

AEW Stable Was Split Up Because of “Experts”

If you know, you know. QT Marshall recently took to Twitter and gave an explanation for why his stable, The Factory, was split up in AEW. According to Marshall: We did some fun stuff. Unfortunately, the amount of Factory hate from the “experts” in wrestling was too much and the group had to disband. We did some fun stuff. Unfortunately, the amount of Factory hate from the “experts” in wrestling was too much and the group had to disband. But keep your eyes on @BigShottyLee @realcolekarter @AaronSoloAEW @Mr_Freakbeast https://t.co/JpUu7z1jN2 — QT Marshall (@QTMarshall) March 5, 2023 It should be noted that it is unknown if he was referring to upper management of the company or the fans when he was referring to “experts”. The Factory was formed on the March 31, 2021 episode of Dynamite, when Marshall, along with Anthony Ogogo, Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solow attacked The Nightmare Family. Editor’s Opinion: Let’s see…the company breaks up a stable because certain “experts” don’t like..

Wrestlemania VII Date: March 24, 1991 Location: Los Angeles Sports Arena, Los Angeles, California Attendance: 16,158 Commentators: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan It’s the Gulf War show, as Hulk Hogan is fighting to get the WWF Title back from former American hero turned Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter. If that sounds like one of the worst ideas for a Wrestlemania main event ever, you have quite the memory for these things. Other than that we have Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior in a match that actually belongs i..

WrestleFest 1991 Host: Randy Savage Commentators: Lord Alfred Hayes, Sean Mooney Sometimes you need to get away from weekly TV and do some good(ish) old fashioned Coliseum Video. That’s what we have here, with another compilation tape released in July 1991. You never know what you might get on here but that can make for some interesting watches. Let’s get to it. Tonight there’s a match where the winner goes to Mania. The Radicals are here now also so we have a fully fleshed out roster for th..

Join The Team: WWE Discusses Carmelo Hayes Coming To Main Roster For Specific Role

That would be a change. NXT stars are in a strange place as they are trying to get over in front of their own television audience but also trying to get over with the WWE. Their ultimate goal is to get to the main roster, which can come in a variety of ways. Occasionally it involves joining an established group and now an NXT star may be in the running to do just that. No Way Out 2006 Date: February 19, 2006 Location: 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, Maryland Attendance: 11,000 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz For the first time in a long time, we have a pay per view that has my interest. Smackdown has gotten a lot better in a hurry, but they need the big spectacular to make it work. With Wrestlemania coming up, this could be a great way to get the momentum going, and hopefully that’s what happens here. I’m sure Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton and Booker T. vs...

Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: Cruise..

The Main Event #1 Date: February 5, 1988 Location: Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant II. I’m not sure what else there is to say here because that’s all that could possibly matter with this show. This is the long awaited rematch from WrestleMania 3, which featured a bit of a controversial moment where Hogan may not have gotten his shoulder up in time. There is some other stuff around here but do you really think it matters? Let’s get to..

Royal Rumble 2003 Date: January 19, 2003 Location: Fleet Center, Boston, Massachusetts Attendance: 15,338 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler This is a really odd entry in the series as the namesake match is being treated as secondary to almost everything else. Really, coming into this show, there’s a good argument to be made that Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie is being treated as a bigger deal than the Rumble itself. Let’s get to it. The opening video is your standard montage of w..
