NXT UK Results – July 21, 2022

NXT UK Date: July 21, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We’re coming off of a title change last week as Mark Coffey FINALLY took the Heritage Cup from Noam Dar, ending his record reign. After the match, Joe Coffey made his return to celebrate with his brother as things seem to be going well for Gallus for a change. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Mark Coffey’s win last week. Opening sequence. Isla Dawn vs. Fallon Henley Henley forearms away to start and hits an elbow to the face before armdragging her into the ropes. That means a forearm to the face but Dawn sends her into the corner to take over. A running kick to the chest gives Dawn two and we hit the cross arm choke. Henley fights up and drives her into the corner for the break, only to get kicked in the head. Dawn hits a half nelson slam for the pin at 5:13. Result: Isla Dawn b. Fallon Henley – Half nelson slam (5:13) Sarray is happy to be here but stops ..

NXT UK Results – July 14, 2022

NXT UK Date: July 14, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We are in for a big time title match this week as the Heritage Cup is on the line. Noam Dar has dominated the division for such a long time that he is starting to repeat challenges, which will be the case this week as Mark Coffey gets another shot. Other than that, we have the continuing adventures of just about everyone else around here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Oliver Carter vs. Teoman The rest of Die Familie is here with Teoman. They go technical to start until Teoman elbows him in the face. It’s too early for a wristlock though and Carter takes over on the arm instead. That’s broken up as well and Teoman hits a neckbreaker onto the knee for two. We hit the chinlock for a bit, followed by some slow stomping to keep Carter down. Carter fights up and hits a quick springboard moonsault to start the comeback, including an elbow to the face. Another neckbrea..

Hand It Over: Record Setting Title Reign Comes To An End In Upset

The gold it is a changing. There are a lot of titles in the wrestling world and some of them have a unique setup that allow for some variation. It can be nice to have something different, as you can only do so many things with a standard championship format. One of those titles changed hands this week, with a record setting reign coming to an end after a bit of an upset. The main event of this week’s NXT UK saw Mark Coffey defeat Noam Dar to win the NXT Heritage Cup. Coffey defeated Dar two falls to one in the sixth and final round. The win ends Dar’s reign after 259 days, the longest in the title’s history. Coffey’s title win marks the first singles title win of his NXT UK career, though he is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion with Wolfgang. Opinion: This is something that had to happen and it makes sense given Gallus’ issues as of late. Coffey winning the title opens up some doors for him as he wins something of his own and might even set up a title match against his brother Joe do..

NXT UK Results – May 5, 2022

NXT UK Date: May 5, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We’re back to the title picture this week with Meiko Satomura defending the Women’s Title against Isla Dawn in a World of Darkness match. I’m not sure what that means but NXT UK has enough of a track record that I can believe they’ll pull it off. On top of that, we get more of the build towards next week’s 200th show. Let’s get to it. Lash Legend arrived earlier today and conscripted Emilia McKenzie to take care of her bag. Opening sequence. It’s time for Supernova Sessions, this time in the ring. Noam Dar says this is the first edition of Supernova Sessions 2.0, which makes me scared for this place’s future. This week’s guest is international superstar Lash Legend and, after taking some time to get her seated, Dar gives her something resembling a plant. Hold on though, as Samuel Sha brings in a much nicer bouquet, which she puts in the Heritage Cup. Legend rhymes ab..

NXT UK Results – March 10, 2022

NXT UK Date: March 10, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for another title match as Noam Dar will be defending the Heritage Cup against Joe Coffey in the main event. The other big match will see A-Kid facing Charlie Dempsey in what could be a spectacle of technical wrestling. This show is such a breath of air compared to the main roster stuff so let’s get to it. We open with a look at the Heritage Cup Title match. Opening sequence. Charlie Dempsey vs. A-Kid During his entrance, Dempsey says he’s doing this himself, without Die Familie. Dempsey’s early cravate is escaped with a cartwheel and they stare at each other a bit. A-Kid gets taken down by the arm but reverses into a headlock. That is countered into a headscissors as they stay with the technical stuff to start. They go to the test of strength and flip around a bunch, with Dempsey bridging up on his neck. A-Kid can’t break it down no matter what and give..

NXT UK Results – March 3, 2022

NXT UK Date: March 3, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for another title week here as Ilja Dragunov is defending the United Kingdom Title against Nathan Frazer. That should make for a great one, as the two of them have a nice record of rising to the occasion in the big matches. Other than that, Gallus gets Sha Samuels in a preview of Joe Coffey vs. Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup later this month. Let’s get to it. We open with a video on Nathan Frazer vs. Ilja Dragunov. Opening sequence. Sha Samuels vs. Mark Coffey There are no seconds here for a change. They slug it out to start with Samuels headlocking him over. With that not working, Coffey is back up and starts working on the arm, setting up a Russian legsweep. A backdrop sends Samuels rolling to the floor but he’s right back in to kick away. Samuels drops him with a running clothesline before pulling up the suspenders for some reason. Coffey gets twisted d..

NXT UK Results – January 20, 2022

NXT UK Date: January 20, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We are officially in a new era now as Walter (er, Gunther) is officially gone from NXT UK. I’m not sure how much of a difference that is going to be, but we do have a big match around here this week. The Heritage Cup will be on the line this week as Noam Dar will be defending against former champion A-Kid. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. We see some clips of Sam Gradwell trying, and failing, to find a mystery partner to face Pretty Deadly. He even sent tweets to Steve Austin, Elon Musk and Paul McCartney. Gradwell also had to beat up Kenny Williams for laughing at him. Pretty Deadly vs. Sam Gradwell/??? Gradwell does has a mystery partner in the form of…..Saxon Huxley. Gradwell locks up with Howley to start but can’t get very far. A shoulder sends Howley into the corner for some more success and it’s Stoker tagging himself in for a cheap shot. Gradwell doesn’..

NXT UK Results – November 25, 2021

NXT UK Date: November 25, 2021 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd Things might be picking up a bit this week as we have another title match. This time around, the Heritage Cup is on the line as Sam Gradwell is challenging new champion Noam Dar. Other than that, we are well on our way to next week’s NXT UK Title match between Ilja Dragunov and Rampage Brown. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jordan Devlin vs. Mark Andrews In the back, Flash Morgan Webster tells Andrews to not worry about the missing Dani Luna. Devlin takes him down to start and slaps the back of Andrews’ head for a bit. That’s enough to send Andrews into a frenzy and a bunch of strikes to the face put Devlin down for a change. A hurricanrana gets two on Devlin but he’s right back with a slingshot hilo. Devlin kicks him in the back of the head and stomps away at the back, setting up a backbreaker. A hard clothesline gets two and we hit the chinlock with a knee i..

NXT UK Results – October 28, 2021

NXT UK Date: October 28, 2021 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for another title match and this week that means the Heritage Cup is on the line. After spending what has felt like the better part of forever crowning a new #1 contender, it is time for Tyler Bate to defend the Heritage Cup against Noam Dar. Other than that, I’m not sure what really matters because I’m too relieved that the tournament stuff is finally over. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mark Coffey vs. Rohan Raja Wolfgang and Teoman are the seconds. Coffey takes him down into the armbar to start but Raja reverses, meaning it’s time to go to the ropes. Raja Codebreakers the arm and the fans are not pleased, though Coffey taking him into the corner makes it a bit better. Not that it matters though as Raja goes right back to the arm and some knees in the corner get two. The seated armbar goes on but Coffey comes back with a clothesline and middle rop..

Screwy Finish Leads To Title Change During NXT UK

History has been made! Championships are one of the most important parts of wrestling as they are about as easy of a concept as you can get. Someone has a championship and someone else wants it, setting up a title match between the two. You can go in a bunch of a directions from there, and that was the case again this week as a championship changed hands. Noam Dar defeated Tyler Bate to win the Heritage Cup during this week’s edition of NXT UK. Dar won the match by a score of 2-1 when Trent Seven accidentally threw the towel in to cost Bate the Cup. Dar received the shot after winning an eight man #1 contenders tournament held over the last several weeks and ends Bate’s reign at 160 days. This is Dar’s first title reign in WWE. It’s a big win for Dar. Check out how the match went and some of Dar’s other work: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is not exactly the biggest sur..

NXT UK Results – October 7, 2021

NXT UK Date: October 7, 2021 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness Things are about to change again in a good way as the fans are going to be returning to the show rather soon. The taping has already taken place and now we get to see just how the show can work with an audience. As for tonight, it is FINALLY the end of the Heritage Cup #1 contenders tournament as Noam Dar faces Wolfgang. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the tournament to get us to the finals. Opening sequence. Jinny vs. Emilia McKenzie Joseph Conners is here with Jinny. They fight over wrist control to start until Jinny flips her over for two. A front facelock has Jinny in some trouble but she reverses into a leg crank and elbows at the head. McKenzie is back up with a dropkick and fisherman’s neckbreaker but can’t grab a German suplex. Instead Jinny twists her down by the arm and puts on an Iron Octopus for the always cool sounding hold. Now it’s off to a..

NXT UK Results – September 16, 2021

NXT UK Date: September 16, 2021 Location: BT Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness The Heritage Cup #1 contenders tournament continues this week as we reach the semifinals. That’s probably a good thing as tournaments with one match a week take their sweet time getting along. Other than that, we are on the way towards…well absolutely nothing around here, which they might want to address. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Heritage Cup #1 Contenders Tournament Semifinals: Noam Dar vs. Kenny Williams Round one begins with both guys going after the leg and not getting very far. They go to the mat with Dar’s chinlock not working as Williams slips out and grabs a headlock. Back up and Dar goes after the arm, setting up an armbar and then a wristlock. Williams shoves him away to wrap up the round with a bad shoulder. Round two begins with Williams taking him down and raking his boots over Dar’s eyes. Some kicks to the back and a running dropkick in the cor..

New Tournament Begins Next Week With Special Rules

They need someone new. Tournaments are an easy concept in wrestling as anyone can get what you are going for with them. You have a bunch of people in a bracket of some kind and whoever is the most successful or the last wrestler standing gets a prize. That could be just about anything, and now we know what WWE is going to put on the line in its next tournament. This week on NXT UK, a new tournament was announced to crown a #1 contender for the Heritage Cup Title, currently held by Tyler Bate. The eight man tournament will begin next week with the initial first round match, though there is no word on when the finals will be held. The Heritage Cup uses a rounds based system with multiple falls or a knockout being needed to win a match. Here are the brackets: Mark Andrews Noam Dar Kenny Williams Oliver Carter Wolfgang Sam Gradwell Teoman Nathan Frazier The Heritage Cup is rather cool. Check out what they’re fighting: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains v..

NXT UK Results – June 3, 2021

NXT UK Date: June 3, 2021 Location: BT Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for a grudge match as Joe Coffey gets to face Rampage Brown in a hoss fight rematch. What more could you really ask for from a show than that? Well in this case we will also be getting Ilja Dragunov vs. Noam Dar and Pretty Deadly defending the Tag Team Titles. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here’s what’s coming tonight. Ilja Dragunov vs. Noam Dar Dar actually takes over on the mat to start but it’s a quick break to let them both up. This time Dragunov down but he holds himself back from going nuts. Instead Dragunov wrestles him back to the mat without much time and cranks on the arm. A big boot staggers Dar again but he is right back with a cradle for two. Dragunov tries the Constantine Special but the knee gives out, allowing Dar to knock him outside in a hurry. Back in and Dar starts working away on the arm but Dragunov pulls him into an armbar of his own. ..

NXT UK Results – May 27, 2021

NXT UK Date: May 27, 2021 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd Things picked up a lot last week when the Heritage Cup changed hands. Tyler Bate defeated A-Kid to win a heck of a main event, and now we could be in for a few different directions. The big story coming up would seem to be Meiko Satomura challenging Kay Lee Ray for the Women’s Title, whenever that is going to take place. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Nathan Frazer vs. Sha Samuels Noam Dar is here with Samuels. Frazer chops away to start but Samuels hammers him with right hands in the corner. A running clothesline is countered into a Downward Spiral into the corner but a Dar distraction lets Samuels toss him REALLY far off the top. The chinlock goes on, followed by a hard elbow for two on Frazer. Back up and an elbow drops Frazer again as the power is working for Samuels. Dar suggests and receives a slam for two and it’s time for some fishhooking. Samuels runs him..

205 Live Results – November 21, 2018

205 Live Date: November 21, 2018 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Percy Watson, Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness We’re into a new area on this show as Buddy Murphy successfully defended the Cruiserweight Title against Mustafa Ali this Sunday at Survivor Series. That means we need a new challenger, but I can’t imagine that takes place tonight. 205 Live likes to set things up at a slightly slower pace and you never know when they’ll have their next title match anyway. Let’s get to it. The opening recap focuses on the pretty awesome title match with Ali coming up short again. Opening sequence. Here’s Buddy Murphy to get things going. Buddy has a question: did you really think Mustafa Ali was going to beat him? Well it doesn’t matter because the people’s opinion doesn’t matter to him. You can’t stop the unstoppable, but here’s Tony Nese to stop him from saying anything else, albeit in a nice way. Tony Nese vs. Noam Dar Before the match, Dar says he’s here to..

WWE 205 Live Results – July 25 2017

<p>Welcome to the fastest hour on television, 205 Live!</p><p>Tonight’s show features the Cruiserweight Champion, King Neville in action in the main event! Neville faces <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/ariya-daivari" title="Ariya Daivari">Ariya Daivari</a></strong>, a man who has made a name for himself recently by destroying Akira Tozawa. Last night, Daivari attacked Tozawa again but this time, he also took the fight to Neville! The audacity! Daivari clearly believes he is on the Neville level and tonight he has a chance to prove it. I could easily see a scenario in which Tozawa interferes tonight and we end up with a Triple Threat at SummerSlam, although that might leave us with too many multi-man matches at the summer showcase.</p><p>Also on tonight’s 205 Live, TJP and Rich Swann continue their seemingly friendly battle for supremacy as they partake in tag team action, albeit on separate teams. TJP teams with Tony Nese tonight to take on Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander, in which should be a great match.</p><p>I’d also expect to see Noam Dar, Mustafa Ali, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/drew-gulak" title="Drew Gulak">Drew Gulak</a></strong>, Brian Kendrick and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/jack-gallagher" title="Jack Gallagher">Jack Gallagher</a></strong> on tonight’s show. Let us know what you’re excited to see, or not excited to see, on the free Ringside Talk app and remember to enjoy the show!</p>
