It came from the source. It had been previously reported that the Bella Twins were officially leaving WWE for good and had rebranded themselves as Nikki and Brie Garcia. One of the main questions that has risen is the wrestling future, particularly when it comes to AEW. That question was answered today on Instagram Live, where Nikki confirmed that her and her sister would not be going to AEW. You can see a clip of that below: Nikki and Brie Garcia are not going to AEW. pic.twitter.com/PkzCosyUER — Wrestling News (@WrestlingNewsCo) March 15, 2023 Garcia also mentioned that there was fan speculation that things have soured between both them and WWE. She said it seems that way because of “everything in the past” but there are no hard feelings. Editor’s Opinion: I’ll take the Garcias at their word, as they have absolutely no reason to taint their legacy by going to AEW. That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me if Tony Khan threw a bunch of money at them to get a major pop for one nig..
Time to move on. Nikki and Brie Bella announced on their Sirius XM show, The Nikki & Brie Show, that they are officially leaving WWE and will now be known as ‘The Garcia Twins’. They also posted the following video on Twitter: Hi I’m Nikki Garcia, Hi I’m Brie Garcia. And we’re the Garcia Twins. ???? Welcome to our next chapter! ?????????????? pic.twitter.com/w6GQM0P7Zi — Nikki & Brie (@NikkiAndBrie) March 14, 2023 From People Magazine, who exclusively broke the story: Nikki further explained that dropping their Bella identities was difficult, but the women feel it’s time to embrace a “new chapter” in their lives. “We’re going to be 40 in November,” Nikki explains, adding that they’re both now enjoying life as mothers, entrepreneurs, hosts, and executive producers. When it was time for them to renew their contract with the WWE, Nikki explains that they “just knew it was time to head into this next chapter.” Brie adds she’s “so excited to close the chapter on Brie Bella” and open ..
One way to do it. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as they can put someone out of action for any length of time. There are all kinds of injuries, but there are also various ways to write someone off television with those injuries. We saw a bit of a unique one earlier this week as an NXT star was taken off television, but things might not have been what they seemed. Wendy Choo was written off NXT TV earlier this week, having been attacked in the parking lot. There is no word on who attacked Choo or how long she is expected to be out of action. According to F4WOnline.com, Choo is out of action with a legitimate injury, though she is not expected to be out of action for very long. Choo last wrestled on the February 16 edition of Main Event. This is the second time that NXT has used a parking lot attack this year to explain a legitimate injury, after Nikkita Lyons was attacked as well. Choo is a unique star when she is around. Check out her attack and ..
They did it again. There are all kinds of ways to write someone off of a wrestling television show, with an injury being one of the most common. Announcing that a wrestler is hurt can take a story in several ways, including the option of someone specific causing the injury. That is a favorite in NXT and now we have seen it again, with another wrestler being attacked. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Missing In Action: Speculation On Matt Riddle’s WWE Status This week on NXT, Wendy Choo was attacked in the NXT parking lot by an unknown assailant. Katana Chance announced that Choo had been found in the parking lot, where she was seen holding her arm. There is no word on whether Choo will miss time, or when she will be back if she does. This comes about a month after Nikkita Lyons was attacked in the parking lot, after which she announced that she had torn her ACL and would be out of action for roughly a year. That’s a dangerous parking lot. Check out some of the attacks there: [This post conta..
They aren’t done yet. WWE has a lot of television time in any given week and they often fill it with a good deal of action. That is the best way to advance storylines, but there is often more stuff that needs to be done after the show is over. You will occasionally see something take place after the show is over, which was the case this week as the violence continued after Monday Night Raw. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: What Could Have Been: Here Are WWE’s Original (And Different) John Cena WrestleMania Plans WWE has posted a video to its YouTube page showing Piper Niven attacking Candice LeRae after Monday Night Raw. LeRae was talking about how important her win over Niven had been and was being asked about Nikki Cross’ involvement when Niven attacked. Niven also told LeRae that she was coming for Cross. Cross’ distraction allowed LeRae to roll up Niven for the pin earlier in the night. Things got violent. Check out the attack, plus what led us here: [This post contains video, click to p..
That’s a very long time. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Unfortunately, no matter how much talent, experience or training that a wrestler can have, there is always the chance that something is going to go wrong. That was the case a few weeks back and now we know just how bad things are. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A New Direction: WWE Plans Surprise Title Change At WrestleMania 39 (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) Back in January, Nikkita Lyons was attacked in the NXT parking lot. Shortly thereafter, Lyons announced that she had suffered a torn ACL and had undergone surgery to repair the injury. Lyons appeared on this week’s edition of NXT and announced that she will be out of action for eleven to twelve months. WWE has still not announced who attacked Lyons in the parking lot. Lyons is quite the loss. Check out the attack, her announcement, plus some of her time in the ring: [This post contains video, click to pl..
There’s another one. We are just a few weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. WWE knows what they have planned for the show but the matches still need to be officially announced. This includes title matches as well, and now we know one of the bigger title matches that is going to be held at some point over the weekend. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Join The Team: WWE Discusses Carmelo Hayes Coming To Main Roster For Specific Role Asuka won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, last eliminating Carmella, to earn the right to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 39. The match also included Liv Morgan, Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Cross. Belair and Asuka have had two televised singles matches in the past, with Belair winning one and the other going to a no contest. There is no word on which night of WrestleMania the match will take place. This should be big. Check out who is heading to WrestleMania: [This p..
They’re set. The Royal Rumble has come and gone for the year and that means it is time to start getting ready for the rest of the Road To WrestleMania. While the biggest show on the way there is all taken care of, there is still one more big show that needs to be covered. In this case, it is another show with two of its namesake matches taking place on the card. Now we already know a good portion of the lineup. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Former WWE Women’s Champion Returns To Television On February 18, WWE will present its annual Elimination Chamber event, with two Elimination Chamber matches already announced. First up, United States Champion Austin Theory will defend against Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed and Johnny Gargano, plus two more challengers who will qualify next week on Monday Night Raw. The other match will be for the Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 39, with Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez and two more competitors competing. No other matches have been an..

That’s awful. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them are a lot more serious than others. You never know when you are going to see a wrestler put on the shelf for a very long time and occasionally the injuries come out of nowhere. That was the situation again this week as a WWE star has been put on the shelf and will not be back for a good while. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: What Could Have Been: How WWE Changed Royal Rumble Finish To Make A New Star This week’s edition of NXT featured a backstage segment when Nikkita Lyons was found in the parking lot, clutching her knee. There was no word on who attacked her, but Lyons was later taken to a local medical facility. Lyons has since made a post to her Instagram, announcing that she has torn both her ACL and meniscus. There is no word on how long she will be out of action, but it will likely be several months. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nikkita Lyons (@nikkita_wwe) Lyons should be great when..
It’s a dangerous parking lot. There are all kinds of things that can keep a wrestler out of the ring and an injury is one of the worst possibilities. There are an infinite number of ways for a wrestler to get hurt and oftentimes they are added into the storyline. That seems to be the case again, as a wrestler has undergone an injury this week on television, meaning she might be gone for a bit. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Did It: WWE Announces All Time Record Set By This Week’s Monday Night Raw This week on NXT, Nikkita Lyons was attacked by an unknown assailant in the parking lot, leaving her with an injured knee. Zoey Stark could be seen leaving the area, but it was not clear if she attacked Lyons. NXT announced that Lyons had been taken to a local medical facility but did not provide any further update. While this was a storyline attack, there is no word on if Lyons has suffered a legitimate injury. Lyons last wrestled on the January 20 edition of NXT LVL Up. Lyons is a potential ..
NXT LVL Up Date: January 20, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Matt Camp The big change this week is on commentary, as Sudu Shah is gone from the company, meaning we have a new team talking to us. That could be just about anyone, but what makes things worse is the fact that commentary changes are probably more interesting than whatever is going on with the show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Nikkita Lyons vs. Jakara Jackson Lyons misses the early kick to the head and it’s a fast standoff. A armbar has Jackson down and Lyons rolls over into a front facelock. Back up and Lyons misses a running boot in the corner, allowing Jackson to hammer away. We hit the Fujiwara armbar and Lyons can’t quite power out. Finally she gets up and hits a sidewalk slam for the break. The strikes have Jackson in trouble, with a superkick into the splits splash being enough to give Lyons the pin at 5:10. Result: Nikkita Lyons b. Jakara Jackson – Spli..
Don’t get your hopes up. There have been a lot of great stables throughout WWE’s history, with some of the better ones being around in recent years. It makes sense for a stable to be successful in modern wrestling, as there is a heck of a lot more television time for the teams to dominate. WWE name dropped a very successful stable recently, but a reunion does not seem likely. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Nikki Cross Teases Return Of Former Stable Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins and United States Champion Theory had a face to face confrontation. During their talk, Theory said that Rollins was the third most successful member of the Shield. This comes as WWE recently finished celebrating the ten year anniversary of the Shield’s WWE debut at Survivor Series 2012. This led to some speculation about a possible Shield reunion in WWE, but this is not likely at the time. Earlier this year, Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose of the Shield) signed a new deal with AEW, which..
Welcome back? Stables have been a huge part of WWE for decades and that will likely continue to be the case for a long time to come. The idea makes perfect sense as a stable allows several wrestlers to get television time at once while often uniting under a common theme. Now a current WWE star is teasing the return of a stable which did not get the best chance in the company. WWE star Nikki Cross has released a video of herself talking to a series of drawings on a chalkboard. Cross blows bubbles at the pictures and says she’ll make sure the drawings will get what they want for Christmas before wiping them away. The drawing appears to be Cross from her time as part of the Sanity stable. This comes as rumors of Eric Young returning to WWE have been circulating, suggesting that Sanity could reform. However, there is nothing to confirm that the team will be back. She’s a bit out there. Check out Cross’ video and what could be coming back: [This post contains video, click to play] [This..
