Subtraction By Subtraction: Changes Coming To WWE Network/Peacock, Shows Leaving

It’s less wrestling. The WWE Network was an absolute game changer for wrestling fans. For the first time ever, fans were able to see almost every major WWE event in history for a relatively cheap price. It meant there was more content available to fans and more was added at a regular basis. However, that might not be the case anymore, at least for certain wrestling programming. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: You’re Up: Royal Rumble Described As “All Hands On Deck”, What That Means According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, a WWE source says that independent wrestling content will be discontinued on Peacock. This comes after various shows events are listed as leaving in a few days. No More: 53 Year Old Wrestling Legend Announces 2023 Is His Last Year In The Ring

End of the line? Wrestlers are a unique breed when it comes to athletics. While they are all athletes in one way or another, many of them top caliber, many of them do not walk away from competition like others are able to do. This is partially due to being able to get back in the ring for one more match, making it hard to finish up. Now one legend is ready to finish things up for good though. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery Dustin Rhodes began wrestling back in 1988 and has wrestled for a variety of promotions all over the world, from WCW to WWE to Impact Wrestling to AEW and various other stops in between. WWE Partners With Disney+ To Air WWE Network Content In Certain Area

That’s a big partnership. WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and has been for a very long time now. No other wrestling company is anywhere close to what WWE is doing at the moment and it makes sense for other companies outside of WWE to want in on it. Now one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world is going to be doing some business with WWE. According to PWInsider.com, the WWE Network will be available on Disney+ in the Philippines beginning on November 17. The agreement will include live events and archived content, plus material from the Star brand, which is similar to Hulu in the United States. There is currently nothing to suggest that Disney and WWE will be working together elsewhere in the near future. Opinion: This is something that doesn’t mean much in the United States or to most of the world, but anything involving WWE working with a company like Disney is a huge deal. That isn’t a partnership you get to see every day and it would not surprise ..

Warner Brothers Discovery Executive On More AEW Programming (Minus A Ring)

They want more. AEW has come a long way in its three years of existence. A lot of the company’s success can be attributed to its programming being broadcast on Warner Brothers Discovery networks. The shows are available in prime time on national networks and the potential audience is high as a result. Now we might be in for an expansion of the company’s programming, but in a different way. Warner Brothers Discovery Group Chair and Chief Content Officer Kathleen Finch was recently interviewed by the Hollywood Reporter and spoke about the company’s relationship with AEW. Finch said that AEW pulls in huge numbers and as a result, Warner Brothers Discovery is trying to find new programming featuring AEW stars without it being in a wrestling ring. There is no word on what kind of programming this could be. Opinion: I don’t know what this is going to mean but there is something a bit ominous about the way that was worded. It almost came off like saying Warner Brothers Discovery likes the A..

WRESTLING RUMOR: How WWE And USA Currently View Monday Night Raw

They’re doing something right. WWE is a huge wrestling company and its two flagship programs air on major networks. This includes SmackDown on FOX and Monday Night Raw on USA, both of which receive major attention every single week. WWE has to work hard to make sure that the networks are happy and now they have some good news on one of those fronts. According to Andrew Zarian, both WWE and the USA Network are pleased with how Monday Night Raw is currently going. This includes the viewership and cable rating, both of which saw boosts this week. The show included the surprise return of Brock Lesnar, which may have been a “make good” on the lack of Bray Wyatt appearing on the show. Wyatt is expected to be part of the SmackDown roster going forward. USA network and WWE are both very happy with the direction of Raw. Lesnar returning on the show felt like a “make good” to many at USA for not having Bray on Raw following the buzz from Extreme Rules. https://t.co/q2MieiJjNr — Andrew Zaria..

Renee Paquette (Young) Makes AEW Debut In Familiar Role

Welcome to the team. There are a lot of important roles in a wrestling show and some of them do not get the credit that they deserve. One of the most important groups is the broadcast team, including the backstage interviewers. They are often there to guide the fans in a certain directions with the questions that they ask and one of the better interviewers around today is no longer a free agent. AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Renee Paquette (formerly known as Renee Young) has officially signed a deal with the company and joined the broadcast team. Paquette made her debut this week on Dynamite and conducted multiple interviews throughout the show. Paquette is best known for her time with WWE, where she was a backstage interviewer and color commentator. She is married to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. WWE Airing Special Event On Fox Next Month

It’s a special. WWE is in a rather strong place when it comes to their current television contracts. While Monday Night Raw and NXT are on the USA Network on Monday and Tuesday, Friday features SmackDown on the FOX Network. That is the biggest platform WWE has ever had and it means something when FOX wants more programming. That is what they will be having again later this year. According to PWInsider.com, FOX will air a special looking at the WWE’s Top Ten Women’s Extreme Moments over the first weekend in October. The special will air at varying times throughout different markets. This special will be airing about a week before the Extreme Rules premium live event on September 8. FOX occasionally airs various specials such as this one for certain occasions. Opinion: This is one of those things that is very good to see for WWE as FOX is confident enough in WWE programming to put it on instead of anything else they have. WWE has a built in audience and if they can bring some of those ..

KB’s Review: The Game Changer

It has been a summer of change in WWE, as the company has been shaken up in more ways than anyone would have believed to be possible. Vince McMahon finally (ahem) retired from the company and that means it is time to start filling in the power vacuum left behind. Triple H has filled in a big portion of that gap and has made some changes of his own in WWE. While there are a lot of them run together, we are going to be looking at what seems to be the biggest one, and how it ties into the future. Triple H did a lot of things during his initial time in power in WWE and the biggest contribution he made was the rise of NXT. What used to be little more than bonus content on WWE.com/the early days of the WWE Network because a viable third brand, to the point where NXT ran away with the Battle For Brand Supremacy at Survivor Series 2019. The show wound up getting two hours on the USA Network every week and things were starting to go great. Then came AEW and, long story short, Triple H’s NXT d..

Update On Karrion Kross’ WWE Return, Possible Huge Plans For Him

He might have a future. There have been all kinds of changes taking place in WWE in recent weeks and some of them have involved wrestlers making surprise returns. That was the case this week as Karrion Kross made his return on SmackDown. Seeing Kross back was surprising enough, but now it seems that he might be in for quite the push in his own right. According to Fightful Select, there have been pitches in WWE creative to immediately put Kross into the WWE Universal Title feud between champion Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. One possible plan could see Kross challenging Reigns for one of his titles in a potential split of the championships. This comes as the USA Network has been requesting a title of its own as Reigns rarely appears on the show, with an interim title being pitched. There is no word on if such an idea was seriously considered by WWE. Opinion: I was surprised to see Kross back in WWE but going straight from that to the main event scene might be a bit too much of a jump..

AEW Battle Of The Belts III Results

Battle Of The Belts III Date: August 6, 2022 Location: Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, Michigan Commentators: Taz, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone It’s time for another of these specials and I’m not sure what to expect from something like this. AEW does not seem to be the most interested in running these shows but that very well might have a lot to do with the shows being network mandates. At least we should get some good action so let’s get to it. TNT Title: Jay Lethal vs. Wardlow Lethal, with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, is challenging. Wardlow shoves him around to start and a big toss sends Lethal outside. Lethal gets in a cheap shot though and scores with an enziguri back inside. A tilt-a-whirl slam gets Wardlow out of trouble but Lethal knocks him outside for the suicide dive. That means Lethal can get in the strut before wrapping Wardlow’s leg around the post. We take a break and come back with Lethal having to escape the powerbomb. Instead Wardlow goes with a clothesline to turn Let..

The company is coming off a very successful Summerslam event that had many people in the wrestling community buzzing about the future of WWE. Some of the highlights from Summerslam included the return of both Dakota Kai and Io Shirai, as well as a crazy main event that included Brock Lesnar lifting the ring with the ..

WATCH: Happy Corbin Reveals Surprising Retirement Plans

He does have a plan. Wrestlers are in a weird place when it comes to career paths. While they can be in the ring for a very long time, a lot of them have some issues figuring out a way out of wrestling as they often have no future path. That is not the case for everyone though, as one current WWE star knows how much longer he wants to be in the ring, plus what he has in mind for after. During an interview with Bleav In Pro Wrestling, SmackDown’s Happy Corbin talked about his future plans in wrestling. Corbin said that he hopes to wrestle for another five to ten years before moving into the food industry. This includes working with the Food Network in some way, as Corbin is friends with celebrity chef Aaron May. Corbin said he would like to get his own show, possibly on YouTube or on the Food Network. It’s an interesting interview. Check out what Corbin had to say: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That’s certainly a new one as you don’t see someone in wrestling ta..

The Miz Discusses Getting His Start on MTV, The Rock, Plans For Logan Paul

The Miz recently appeared on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on the USA Network, where he discussed several topics. Among them were getting his start on Reality TV, interactions with The Rock, his plans for Logan Paul at Summerslam 2022, and more. Below are some highlights from the interview: On getting his start on The Real World: “I was sitting in my fraternity, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I can be on my favorite show? I can audition for it?’ And back then we had VHS tapes, I had to record myself,” he said. “We didn’t have camera phones back then.” On working with The Rock: “There was a promo that I cut,” he said. “I was getting lost in the world of The Rock and John Cena because it was The Rock and John Cena and I was an up and comer but I was a champion. So, I cut this promo on The Rock and the day after I got a voicemail from The Rock being like, ‘That’s it, that’s how you step up!’ It was motivation.” On his plans for Logan Paul at Summerslam: “Logan Paul fans, a..
