Monday Night Raw Date: December 19, 2022 Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves It’s the last show before Christmas and possibly the last show of the year depending on what they do next week. There is still a lot of time before the Royal Rumble but we have another big match coming up on December 30. John Cena is on his way back to WWE and that should have some people talking. Let’s get to it. Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns are here, with Reigns saying he is around here to deal with Kevin Owens. Reigns has been dealing with Owens and now he has to take care of John Cena again. Now, he is going to torture Owens until Raw acknowledges the Bloodline. We cut to the rest of the Bloodline beating down Mustafa Ali. Opening sequence. Street Profits vs. Judgment Day Finn Balor/Damien Priest for the team here, with their friends and Akira Tozawa at ringside too. Ford goes nuts on Priest to start but gets sent into the corner. We go split screen ..

Monday Night Raw Results – November 14, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: November 14, 2022 Location: KFC Yum Center, Louisville, Kentucky Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than two weeks away from Survivor Series and that means it is time to start building some things up for the show. While we have a few matches, the real focus is going to be on WarGames. It looks like Raw will only be supplying the women’s match and more of the lineup needs to be locked in. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is Seth Rollins to get things going and we see a package on Austin Theory’s failed cash in last week. Last week, he put out an open challenge and now there are people coming out of the woodwork for a shot at the title. Rollins talks about the cash-in and the fans say THAT WAS STUPID. Rollins is ready to defend against Finn Balor tonight but here is Bobby Lashley to interrupt. Rollins isn’t worried and brings up the loss to Brock Lesnar, so here is Mustafa Ali to interrupt. Lashley tosses him out with ease so Ali jumps ..

Seth Rollins Takes Shot At Fellow WWE Star, Gets Very Harsh Response

It’s not a happy response. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster and a lot of them are not able to get the amount of television time that they would like. With so many wrestlers on the roster, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. At some point, a wrestler is going to snap and that took place again this week, after some WWE commentary did not sit well. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins did guest commentary on a match between Mustafa Ali and Mr. Money In The Bank Austin Theory. Rollins said that Theory had a better chance of cashing in on Dana Brooke than Rollins, should he win the WWE Universal Title. Brooke responded on Twitter, saying she works hard and “will not take this s*** anymore.” She talked about working through injuries and could fit any position. Brooke has not wrestled on Monday Night Raw since August 15. Talk is CHEAP!! I work my ass off every single day & will not tolerate this shit anymore! I can promise you I am the hardest working..

WATCH: Mustafa Ali Says “I’m Done”

He’s done? With so much talent on WWE, it can be difficult to find time for a lot of wrestlers to get in the ring or even on television. It can be frustrating for some stars who are unable to appear on any of the shows and in some cases it can cause some problems for those wrestlers. That might be the case again with a star who has a history with not appearing on WWE TV for a long time. Last week on Monday Night Raw, Mustafa Ali had his first match on the show in nearly two months, losing to Bobby Lashley. Ali has since released a video, titled “I’m Done”, in which he says he is done with waiting around for someone to come after him or with blaming everyone else for his problems. Ali also warns anyone who is in the ring with him of what is coming for them. There is no word on any plans from WWE to use Ali more frequently. There’s a lot to this. Check out what Ali had to say: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: We’ll have to wait and see where this leads, but the vide..

Ronda Rousey Praises Monday Night Raw Star, Calls Him “Amazingly Talented”

He has a fan. There are some very talented stars on the WWE roster who never get the chance that they deserve. For one reason or another, they are often either left on the sidelines or used as little more than someone to put over bigger stars. Oftentimes they need someone to go to bat for them and now one such star has gotten an endorsement from a top name. New SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey participated in a live stream on her YouTube channel earlier this week. At one point during the stream, Rousey mentioned fellow WWE star Mustafa Ali, calling him “amazingly talented” and “athletic”, saying he comes up with some great sequences. Ali has been used infrequently on WWE TV in recent months, with his most recent appearance coming last week on Monday Night Raw. Opinion: Rousey is certainly right about Ali’s talent but I don’t know if that is going to be enough to make him into the next big thing in WWE. For whatever reason, he has never been able to break through and get a seri..

Backstage News on How Triple H Is Being Received As Head of Creative

It’s what you want to hear. According to a report from Fightful Select, there is a renewed sense of optimism backstage now that Triple H is in charge of creative for WWE. This is in the aftermath of The Game being in charge of producing both Summerslam and Raw this past week. The report states that even superstars who were not on the show seemed excited about the future with Triple H in charge. One NXT star said that bringing Dakota Kai back to be part of Bayley’s new faction was a great sign and made them hopeful for their future. In addition, two top stars said they were excited not to wrestle the same person every week and are hopeful that will continue going forward. There was a lot of positivity coming out of the show regarding Ciampa and Mustafa Ali having competitive matches with top performers, so they could shine on the show. Triple H will have the opportunity to be in charge of his first Smackdown this week, so we will see how that goes. Editor’s Opinion: Does this reall..

It’s A Family Thing: WWE Announces Debut Of New Star Next Week

The more the merrier. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it takes something special to make someone stand out. There are a lot of ways to do that and some of them have been rather successful over the years. One of the most tried and true methods is to introduce someone as a member of a wrestling family, which will be the case again next week. Over the last few weeks, Max Dupri has begun establishing himself on SmackDown. This includes introducing his Maximum Male Models group, formerly known as Mace and Mustafa Ali. The two have also modeled various clothing, including the tennis collection. This week on SmackDown, WWE announced that next week will involve the swimwear collection, featuring Dupri’s sister Maxine. There is no word on who will be portraying the new character. Opinion: I’m almost scared to know what this is going to be, but at the same time, the whole Models deal has been enough goofy fun that it is hard to be overly annoyed. It could be just about anyone as the ..

Monday Night Raw Results – June 27, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 27, 2022 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s a very special night as John Cena is here to celebrate twenty years (to the day) of his WWE debut. That should be enough to carry the night and that might need to be the case. This is also the go home edition of Raw for Money In The Bank, meaning it’s time to build momentum, establish dominance, and maybe even come up with an original tagline for what the participants are doing. Let’s get to it. Earlier today, John Cena returned to quite the hero’s welcome, meeting a bunch of applauding wrestlers and backstage workers. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Battle Royal T-Bar, Mustafa Ali, Shanky, Akira Tozawa, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal, Riddle, Miz, AJ Styles, Ciampa, Reggie, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Veer Mahaan Tozawa is tossed out fast and Mahaan clotheslines Benjamin out. The Myste..

Add It On: New Title Match Set For WWE Hell In A Cell

Add it to the card. We are less than a week away from Hell In A Cell and the card has some work to be done. There are only so many matches announced so far and there is a lot more space that needs to be filled. This includes a variety of title matches, as there was only one title match set coming into this week. Now one of those spots has been filled as a new title match has been added. This week on Monday Night Raw, a United States Title match was added to the Hell In A Cell card, as Mustafa Ali will challenge Theory for the title. Theory interfered in an Ali vs. Ciampa match to give Ali the win via DQ, earning Ali a title shot in the future. After attacking Ali more, Theory said the match could take place right now. Theory beat Ali in less than two minutes but Adam Pearce said they could have a rematch at Hell In A Cell. Opinion: This is a story that has been built up for a few weeks now and they have finally set up the big title match. I wouldn’t have had Ali lose the match this w..

They’re Back: Two Returns Take Place On Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. That means some wrestlers are going to need some time off at times, which can lead to some very impressive returns. The returns can either be the start of a new feud or the continuation of an old one. This week saw a pair of returns for the same reason. This week on Monday Night Raw, Veer Mahaan defeated Mustafa Ali. After the match was over, Mahaan continued to attack Ali, resulting in the return of Rey and Dominik Mysterio to attack Mahaan and save Ali. This comes after Mahaan attacked and injured both Mysterios last month, resulting in them missing time. There is no word on any match being announced between Mahaan and either of the Mysterios. Opinion: I’m not sure where this is leading, but I can’t imagine Mahaan, who has been pushed as a total monster, being taken down by the Mysterios. Odds are we get a match of some sort next month at Hell In A Cell, plus some more ..

Potential Bad News For Mustafa Ali’s WWE Future

It might be over already. WWE has a lot of television time to fill in any given week and that means you are going to see a lot of names on various shows. Some of those names are going to appear more often than others, often being rather successful. That means a few are going to have to take the losses though, and now another star might have been added to the wrong side. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a handicap match where Miz and Theory defeated Mustafa Ali in less than three minutes. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this means that Vince McMahon might have already given up on Ali, who returned to WWE TV last week after several months away. There is no word on what this means for Ali, or what he is expected to be doing in the coming weeks. Opinion: This is how things tend to go in WWE, because they do not exactly like to waste time. If you do not get over in the way the company wants them to in short order, it is seen as the wrestler’s fault and that is where things fal..

Watch Your Language: WWE Adds Another Term To The Do Not Use List

Put it on the list. There are certain things that Vince McMahon does from time to time that seem to boggle the mind. McMahon has a long history of seemingly making up rules for things that he does not like, just to get them to go away. One of the most frequent is over the things that commentary is allowed to say on WWE broadcasts. The list of banned phrases seems to have grown again. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McMahon has now banned the term “non-title” from WWE programming. This was evident this week on Monday Night Raw, as Mustafa Ali faced the Miz and United States Champion Theory in what was described as a “non-title champions contenders” match. There is no word on why or when McMahon decided to make the change, but it seems to be the new rule at the moment. Opinion: This is as McMahon as it gets, as he is well known for making somewhat random changes just based on whatever whim he happens to be having. That doesn’t make it any better or logical, but at least McMahon ..

Quick Switch: Change Of Plans In Recent WWE Return

That would have been strange. Wrestlers rely on their reputations quite a bit and the first impression can make a hue impact. There are only so many ways to debut in wrestling and if it goes wrong, the wrestler can be fighting out of a hole in a hurry. It seems that a recent return was almost a lot worse, as the result of someone’s first match back almost went very differently. Mustafa Ali returned from a six month hiatus this week on Monday Night Raw. Ali defeated the Miz when he returned, but according to Fightful Select, the original plan called for Ali to lose. The plans called for Miz to win the match until Sunday afternoon when WWE made a change. In addition, WWE has not frozen Ali’s contract for the time that he was gone, though they may extend it in the future. Opinion: That could have been a lot worse, as I don’t want to imagine how bad it would have been to have Ali return and then lose in his first match back. Ali is someone with a lot of talent, but it isn’t going to matt..

Who? Another Long Time WWE Star Gets A Name Change

That’s him. WWE has a lot of resources and one of its biggest is having its own developmental territory in NXT. The company is able to bring up wrestlers who have been appearing on national television whenever they want to but WWE has a bit of a strange habit of changing things up about them in the process. That seems to be the case again with an NXT legend. Tommaso Ciampa was officially called up to Monday Night Raw earlier this month and became part of the roster. Ciampa appeared on this week’s show when he attacked the returning Mustafa Ali. During the attack, Ciampa was referred to by his last name only, suggesting that his first name had been dropped. In addition, earlier on Monday, TVA Sports Quebec’s Kevin Raphael said that Ciampa had lost the Tommaso name. This comes after WWE has shortened over names in recent weeks. Tommaso Ciampa is now only Ciampa. Effective immediately. — Kevin Raphael (@kevinraphael21) April 25, 2022 Opinion: For the life of me I wish WWE would drop ..

WWE Star Makes Surprise Return After Six Months, Already Has Multiple Issues

Good to see you again. There are certain things that you learn watching wrestling and one of the biggest is to never say never. No matter what is going on in the wrestling world, there is (almost) always a chance that it can be reversed. Someone can let anger go, a company could change its mind or something else could happen to get rid of an issue. That seems to be the case again. This week on Monday Night Raw, Mustafa Ali made his return to WWE television after a six month absence. Ali appeared during a MizTV segment in hopes of challenging Theory for the United States Title. Instead he fought and defeated the Miz, only to be jumped by Tommaso Ciampa after the match. Ali was returning after a hiatus due to a backstage argument with Vince McMahon over his character’s future, leading to Ali requesting his release from the company. Opinion: I didn’t think I would see this again and yet here it is, with Ali not only returning but dealing with multiple people at once. Maybe this doesn’t ..

Double Time: Two Missing WWE Stars May Return To TV As Early As This Week

Welcome back to back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and as a result it means that some are going to fall through the cracks. For one reason or another, there are a few people who just are not going to be around very often. It might be due to an injury or due to some issues backstage, but now we might be seeing one of each of them coming back soon. Two missing WWE stars may be returning to Monday Night Raw this week. First up, according to Fightful Select, “imminent” plans for Asuka to make her return, possibly to feud with Becky Lynch in a short form story. Asuka has been out of action since July with an arm injury. There is no word on when her first match back might be. This is not considered to be definitive, as plans are not set in stone. Second, according to Fightful Select, Mustafa Ali may be returning to WWE television as well, though there is no word on what he might be doing when he gets back. Ali has been absent from WWE television since October 2021 after a..

Vince McMahon Was Pitched For A Major Role In A WWE Story

That would have been a big one. WWE has a lot of television time to fill every week and that means there are going to be a lot of stories taking place on any given night. Some of these are going to be a lot better than others, with a few of them being near disasters. That was the case with a story from a few years ago, but there was almost a twist that could have changed everything. Shane Thorne, formerly known as Slapjack in WWE, recently appeared on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, where he discussed his time in Retribution. Thorne said that when the team was started, there was no word on who the team’s leader would be. The team pitched for various big names, from Edge to Shane McMahon and all the way up to Vince McMahon, as they wanted to be associated with a major character. Mustafa Ali was eventually revealed as the leader, though Thorne admitted that the team had already been beaten down by that point. Retribution was split up in March 2021. Opinion: This isn’t the ..

Time And A Half: Update On Mustafa Ali/WWE Situation

That’s a long time. There have been a lot of departures from WWE in the last year and a half and several of them have come from mass releases. WWE has let go all kinds of wrestlers at once in multiple groups, leaving the roster a bit weakened. However, there is one wrestler who is sticking around, even if he does not seem to want to. Now we know a bit more about what is going on. Over the last few months, Mustafa Ali has been attempting to gain his release from WWE, but the company refuses to let him go. This stems from an argument between Ali and Vince McMahon over Ali not agreeing to some kind of an idea that McMahon had for him, as well as a lack of being used. Ali sent out a tweet over the weekend, saying that he will see us in “about two and a half years”, suggesting the length of time that he has left on his current WWE contract. i’ll see ya all in like 2 1/2 years — Mustafa Ali / Adeel Alam (@AliWWE) February 12, 2022 Opinion: This is a situation where I can see both sides, ..

More Details On WWE/Mustafa Ali Standoff, How Long This Could Last

That’s a long time. With so many wrestlers on its active roster, it should be no surprise that some WWE names are not going to be happy. At some point someone is not going to see eye to eye with the company and that seems to be happening more and more often as of late. It is certainly the case with one wrestler in particular, and now we know a bit more about the particulars. Over the last several weeks, Mustafa Ali and WWE have been in a standoff, with WWE refusing to use Ali, who has requested his release as a result. According to Fightful Select, WWE will not grant his release, leaving the two sides at a stalemate with Ali sitting at home. Ali has not wrestled since October and has since had an argument with Vince McMahon over how he is used. He has well over a year to go on his contract and WWE is refusing to release him over his perceived value. Opinion: I don’t know how this is going to end, but I can’t imagine it is going to go well for Ali. At the end of the day, Ali needs WWE..

Update On Mustafa Ali/WWE Standoff, Ali Blocks WWE Related Twitter Account

Well that got serious. There have been a lot of changes in WWE over the last year and a half, with all kinds of wrestlers being let go from the company. That has caused a huge shakeup within the company and changed the way that wrestlers see WWE. That means some wrestlers might want to leave before they are let go, but that is not always going to be granted. Now things have gone in a different direction. Earlier this month, Mustafa Ali announced that he had requested his release from WWE, but the company turned down his request. This has led to a Twitter campaign using the hashtag “FreeAli”, with a fan sending the tweet to the WWEOnFox account. The fan was blocked, which caused Ali himself to block WWEOnFox. There is still nothing to suggest that WWE is planning to release Ali, who has not wrestled on television since October. oh, word? don’t worry, i gotchu. https://t.co/bmrY7qwRPB pic.twitter.com/wQ5RbXupxT — Mustafa Ali / Adeel Alam (@AliWWE) January 24, 2022 oh, word? don’t wor..
