More On Recent AEW Debut And Signing

He’s a new one. The rise of AEW has allowed for a lot of new things, but one of the most important is a new high level platform for wrestlers to work on. After about twenty years of WWE being the only place to go, AEW has allowed for things to be shaken up. Several wrestlers get a new place to go and that was the case again last week. Now we know a little more about him. Last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the debut of Buddy Matthews, formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE, who joined the House of Black. According to Fightful Select, AEW began talks with Matthews back in the fall, though it is not clear when the two sides came to an agreement. Impact Wrestling also made a play for Matthews but were unable to land him. Matthews is said to have made a good first impression, which was made even better when he declined to use a spot because it involved using another wrestler’s finishing move. Opinion: It’s cool to see Matthews showing up again because he really was one of the more int..

Another Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut

He’s new. There have been a lot of movements around the wrestling world, with several prominent wrestlers jumping from one promotion to another. That can make for some very interesting moments as you don’t know when someone is going to show up. It is especially fun when you might get to see someone reach a new level of potential, which might be the case again this week. This week on AEW Dynamite, Buddy Matthews made his debut in an attack on Pac and Penta Obscura. Matthews helped the Kings of the Black throne attack Pac and Obscura, seemingly joining the House of Black in the process. Matthews is formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE, where he is a former Cruiserweight Champion. Black and Murphy feuded during their time together in WWE, which was referenced last week during a House of Black vignette. The vignette featured a knock on Black’s door, which is how Matthews started his feud with Black in WWE. Opinion: I don’t think this is much of a surprise, especially after the knocking ..

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, three former WWE stars are likely to come to AEW soon, while a third is a possibility. There is a chance that AEW has already come up with creative plans for Matthews, who was released from WWE in June and has wrestled in various promotions since. Opinion: I’m not sure how big of a surprise Matthews coming in to AEW would be but it is still nice to see someone else getting a chance on the big state again. Matthews is someone else who fe..

It’s a nice tease. Soon after Dean Ambrose was released from WWE, a video appeared on his social media accounts showing him escaping from prison. Fans began analyzing the video to look for clues and found a few things, but what mattered the most was the fact that people were talking. Ambrose then debuted for AEW as Jon Moxley and he was off to the races. Now someone is trying the same thing. WWE Was Very Confused Over Another Released Wrestler

What a mess. The biggest WWE story of the year has been the string of releases from the company. WWE has released dozens of wrestlers over the first six months of the year and there is always a chance of more taking place. The releases have been from all levels of the roster, including some from NXT. This led to some extra details, and now another released wrestler has revealed another big one. Earlier this week, Malaki Black, formerly Aleister Black in WWE, made his AEW debut on Dynamite. This was a bit confusing, as Black had only been released from WWE for thirty five days, rather than the usual ninety days. After, a report stated that the issue was over a clerical error, as Black’s clause was not changed from thirty days to ninety when he was moved from NXT to the main roster. It turns out that might not be the only case. In an interview with Fightful, former WWE superstar Buddy Murphy revealed that WWE called him on June 3, the day after he was released, to ask if he wanted to e..

Subtle but sweet. WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts this year and that is the kind of thing that is going to shake up the company in a hurry. With so many names leaving, it can leave a lot of people wondering what to think. Most of the time, people are going to be wondering how the released wrestlers are responding, but what about the ones who are still in the company? Now we saw a little tribute from a WWE wrestler to a released name. Liv Morgan paid tribute to the recently released Ruby Riott during her match against Carmella on this week’s edition of SmackDown. For the second time in less than two months, WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts on the same day. That is going to get some reactions from the wrestling world and its fans, but in this case it might be more of the way the announcement was made. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this week’s batch of releases was announced to the roster via a single text message from new Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. Released WWE Stars React, Wrestling World Weighs In On Moves

You might want their opinions. One of the biggest stories over the last few weeks has been the amount of wrestlers who have been released from WWE. The company has cut several wrestlers from its roster over the course of the year and that was the case again this week, as even more wrestlers have been released so far. That is the kind of thing that could draw some strong reactions, including from the wrestlers themselves. Earlier today, WWE released six wrestlers from the company. The releases included Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. All but Riott have since responded to the news via Twitter, with all of them thanking some combination of the fans, company and fellow wrestlers. Im gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself. — Tommy End (@WWEAleister) Jun..

WWE Tag Team Reunion Nearly Took Place Before Release

What could have been. Earlier this month, WWE released nine wrestlers from their contracts, which offered quite the shakeup to the company’s roster. These releases came fairy out of nowhere though and that means there were chances for something else to happen. Now those plans will not be realized, but we do know what one of them might have been. According to Fightful Select, prior to his release from the company, WWE was considering reuniting Wesley Blake with his NXT tag team partner Buddy Murphy. The two had been meeting with WWE creative to come up with a way to reintroduce them to WWE programming but nothing ever took place. The idea came about after Blake’s other partner, Steve Cutler, was released from the company in January. Blake and Murphy appeared together in NXT, where they were managed by Alexa Bliss. The two won the NXT Tag Team Titles in January 2015 and held them for over seven months. Following their loss, the two failed to recapture their titles and ultimately split,..

VIDEO: Vince McMahon’s Surprise Praise For A WWE Superstar

That’s some high praise. There is no bigger name in all of wrestling than Vince McMahon. An endorsement from him can make a wrestler’s career and that is the kind of thing you can only hope for at some point. Some wrestlers are going to impress him right off the bat though and that seems to be the case with someone who is still quite the newcomer to WWE. Earlier this year, Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik began his in-ring career and immediately jumped into the deep end by feuding with former World Champion Seth Rollins. Dominik fought alongside and with his father against Rollins and Murphy while finding some success of his own. The results have been fairly strong and he has impressed the person whose opinion matters the most. This is pretty impressive. Check out what McMahon had to say: https://media.wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/14013117/Dominik-Mysterio-Vince-McMahon.mp4 WWE has released a clip from the WWE Network Special The Day: Summerslam 2020, which features Domi..

Update On Rey Mysterio’s Injury Status And Recovery Time

That could be worse for Mysterio. One of the worst parts of a wrestler being injured is waiting to see how long they are going to be out. You never know how long it might be and wrestling fans do tend to like playing medical expert by trying to figure out how long someone is going to be on the shelf. This time around we might be getting some slightly better than expected news. On Sunday at Payback, Rey Mysterio teamed with his son Dominik Mysterio to defeat Seth Rollins and Murphy in a tag team match. That is quite the win for the family, but it did not have the happiest ending as Rey tore his tricep at some point. Rey has a history of being injured and has missed a lot of time over his career due to an injury. This one might not be as bad as originally thought though. According to F4WOnline.com, Mysterio’s injury is not a full tear of the tricep, meaning that he will not require surgery to fix the issue. It is believed that the injury will only put Mysterio out of action for about t..

Heel Turn Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

Switch things up a bit. Wrestlers can do a lot of things in the ring and on the microphone but at some point, most of them need some kind of a change. There are different ways to present a wrestler and one of the best is to turn them in one direction or another. This can open up some different stories for them while giving their character a fresh take. That was the case this week on Monday Night Raw. One of the better problems that WWE has at the moment is having so much talent on television. All three of their regular television shows have some very talented wrestlers on their rosters and that means it can be difficult to figure out everything in the right order. That can involve some changes and turns, including one which took place during this week’s television show. This came out of nowhere. Check out Monday’s heel turn: This week on Monday Night Raw, Aleister Black made his return to television after missing about a month due to an eye injury caused by Buddy Murphy. Black saw ..

Will Seth Rollins and Murphy Continue to Be a Tag Team After WrestleMania 36?

On a previous episode of Raw, Seth Rollins and Murphy lost their Tag Team Championships to the Street Profits, due to Kevin Owens delivering a Stunner to Rollins. This led to Montez Ford performing his Frog Splash on Rollins, and pinning him for the win. The feud between Owens and Rollins have been going on for quite some time. In fact, Rollins’ feud with Owens actually led Rollins to turn heel, although Rollins’ heel turn was also prompted by the fans turning on him during his feud with The Fiend Bray Wyatt. Now, Rollins leads a stable, which also includes Murphy and the AOP. Owens contributing to Rollins & Murphy’s loss increases the rumors that the two will be competing against each other at WrestleMania 36. However, where does this leave Rollins’ tag team with Murphy? According to The Citizens Voice, Rollins & Murphy are scheduled to compete in a tag team match against The Street Profits. This will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on May, 11, over a month after WrestleMania. At Elim..
