That is some work. There are all kinds of things that go into making a wrestler feel like a star and one of the biggest is their physical appearance. Now a WWE star is showing just how impressive his change has been. Not the first? We are just over four weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and the card is starting to come together. He’s In Charge: Former WWE Champion Set To Host WrestleMania 39

It’s a gig. WrestleMania has evolved so much over the years that it is almost nothing like what it was when it first started. The show has gone from little more than a really souped up live event to a stadium filling event that takes place over two nights. Things have gotten so much bigger that it needs someone to keep track of them all, which is what we will have again this year. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Monster Fight: New Match Officially Set For WrestleMania 39 This week on Monday Night Raw, the Miz was announced as the host of WrestleMania 39. The announcement came via the envelope that Miz’s wife Maryse gave him last week. After making the announcement, Miz was attacked by Seth Rollins and left laying. WrestleMania has had a host for the last several years, with names such as Hulk Hogan, Alexa Bliss, Bayley and the New Day serving in the role. It is a tradition. Monster Fight: New Match Officially Set For WrestleMania 39

That’s a big one. We are less than five weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and the card is rapidly filling up. There are already several title matches and grudge matches set for the show but there are still several names who need something to do on the show. Homecoming: Two Missing AEW Stars Return This Week On Rampage

Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be easy for one or more of them to get lost in the shuffle. You never know when someone is going to drop off of the radar and not appear again for a little while. That can make for some annoying absences, but it can also make for some very nice returns. Two of the latter took place this week on the same show. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Fits: Important Details On Next WWE Event In Saudi Arabia, Possible AEW Competition Jake Roberts and Lance Archer made their returns to AEW television this week on Rampage. Archer, with Roberts in his corner, returned and defeated Bryce Saturn. This was Archer’s first match in AEW since the November 18 edition of Rampage and his first match anywhere since December 23. There is no word on why he was out of action or what is next for him in AEW. Archer is a monster. Former NXT Superstar Retires from In-Ring Competition

Changing roles can be good sometimes. NXT Trainer and Coach Matt Bloom recently appeared on the ‘Real Monster Radio’ show, where he discussed a number of topics. One of them was the status of a former NXT superstar, now turned coach. Bloom had the following to say about Oney Lorcan: “My position now as a head coach, I oversee my coaches,” Bloom said. “I have an amazing staff. So, I gotta give props to those guys. Terry Taylor, Fit Finlay, Robbie Brookside, Norman Smiley, Steve Corino, Alexander Winkler, ‘Oney Lorcan’ Chris Girard, who just recently retired from being in the ring, Johnny Moss, and we have a few UK coaches that are on the cusp of being full-time coaches as well.” You can see the full interview below: [This post contains video, click to play] Lorcan was released from WWE in November 2021 but returned in October 2022 as a coach at the Performance Center. Editor’s Opinion: I always felt bad for Lorcan and his longtime partner, Danny Burch, because I feel like they n..

NXT Vengeance Day 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

Unless I’m forgetting something, this is the first time NXT has left Orlando for a televised event since Stand & Deliver over Wrestlemania weekend. At some point they just need to get out of Florida and heading to Charlotte is as good of a way as any. The card actually has me interested this time, though the television show from this week wasn’t so great. Maybe they can overcome that with a good one here so let’s get to it. North American Title: Wes Lee(c) vs. Dijak We’ll start off with one that can go either way as Dijak is a monster who can run through a lot of people and Lee is someone who could be champion for a nice run. This has been built up for a few weeks with Dijak speaking more and more like an 80s movie villain. Lee has turned into a much better star than I would have expected him to be and this is a tossup so far. I’ll go with Lee here, as it would not surprise me to see Tony D’Angelo and Stacks come in to cost Dijak the match. Dijak is someone who needs to be protected ..

The Symphony Rests: Update On Wardlow’s AEW Status

That explains a bit. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and what matters the most is getting the injured star healthy enough to get back in the ring. Someone being healthy is far more important than any storyline they might be involved in and hopefully they are able to get back sooner than later. That is the situation with a current AEW star but things might not be as bad as they seem. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’ll Be Back: Here’s Why Kenny Omega Has Been Missing From AEW TV Wardlow has not appeared on AEW TV since the December 28 edition of Dynamite when Samoa Joe attacked him and defeated him to retain the TNT Title. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wardlow has been out of action due to an injury. Wardlow is not expected to be out of action long, but there is no word on when he will be back on television. Wardlow is a monster when he is around. Tribute To The Troops 2022 Date: December 17, 2022 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s time for another of the annual holiday specials, though in this case this was tacked on after a TV taping over a month ago. These shows are basically short form house shows with a healthy dose of “WE LOVE THE TROOPS” thrown in. There are almost no expectations for one of them as a result so let’s get to it. We get the presentation of the colors and Star Spangled Banner, led by someone who sang it at the 2009 Tribute To The Troops. The opening video looks at the history of Tribute To The Troops, featuring several clips from the original shows and not so many from the recent editions. Braun Strowman vs. LA Knight Strowman throws him around to start but misses a charge into the corner. Knight goes after the knee but Strowman shrugs it off. The Monsterbomb finishes Knight at 2:05. Result: Braun Strowman b. LA Knight – Monster..

Excuses? Here Is The Surprising Reason Miro Has Been Missing From AEW TV

So that’s why? With such a large roster, AEW has some issues keeping track of where everyone has been recently. There are some wrestlers who have not been around for a rather long time and the question becomes why they have been missing. Now we know something more about a missing AEW star and the reason he has been gone for such a long time. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Vickie Guerrero On The Accidental Origins Of “EXCUSE ME!” Miro has only wrestled four matches for AEW this year, with all of them taking place from June on and his most recent taking place on September 4 at All Out. According to Fightful Select, Miro is healthy and ready to wrestle, but AEW has no creative plans for him. Really, Him? Road Dogg Alleges Brock Lesnar Would Not Work With This One WWE Star

Just him? There are very few wrestlers in the history of WWE on the same level as Brock Lesnar. Immediately upon his debut, Lesnar was presented as The Next Big Thing and he has been a monster in the company during his on and off career. It means something for a wrestler to be paired with Lesnar, but there is reportedly one name that he would not work with for some reason. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: When Worlds Collide? WWE Veteran Would Return After 11 Years To Work With Roman Reigns One of the feature matched at Survivor Series 2017 was AJ Styles vs. Lesnar in a battle of World Champions. Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to win the WWE Title less than a month before the match, following an announced match between Mahal and Lesnar. According to Road Dogg on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Lesnar had no problem working with Mahal, but rather felt that he could have a better match with Styles. Dogg said he had never heard of Lesnar not wanting to work with anyone in WWE, save for only Kevin O..

Ronda Rousey Talks Character Work With Vince McMahon; Comparisons to Brock Lesnar

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey discussed the inner workings of her on-screen WWE persona after she made her debut with the company as an in-ring performer. Following a electric and memorable debut at WrestleMania 34, Rousey stormed onto WWE programming, but former CEO Vince McMahon saw her character as more “vulnerable than dominant.” Ronda clarified on the latest episode of her podcast Ronda on the Road that Vince McMahon didn’t see her as an “invincible monster” type of character like Brock Lesnar has been booked to be. The comparison between the two obvious based on their legitimate MMA and UFC backgrounds. As a result, Ronda Rousey was booked with a more “vulnerable side.” Related: Ronda Rousey Burns WWE Over Superstar Releases “There’s this more vulnerable side of me,” Ronda explained on the podcast “but not vulnerable like, ‘Oh, I’m being hurt.’ It’s more of like, I gotta to find ways to challenge myself more and more and more.” Rousey went into further detail abo..

Details On Wyatt 6 Stable, Likely Members And Characters

That’s a plan. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the most effective ways to present someone can be to put them together into a big stable so wrestlers can get their own television time together. Now it seems that WWE is interested in putting together a bunch of people under quite the monster leader. Last weekend at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt returned to the company after a year plus absence. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt is expected to lead a stable called the Wyatt 6, a term he trademarked earlier in the year. The members will be based on characters from the Firefly Fun House, with the following wrestlers portraying them: Joe Gacy as Huskus Grayson Waller as Mercy the Buzzard Alexa Bliss as Sister Abigail Erick Rowan as Ramblin Rabbit Bo Dallas as The Fiend Liv Morgan and the Dyad are also considered as possible members in the place of some of the other names. There is no ..

Speculation Over Surprising Name For Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent

That would certainly be different. There is no one in wrestling history like Brock Lesnar and there never will be again. Lesnar has a blend of amateur wrestling abilities, charisma and natural strength that may never be matched and WWE sees to know it. WWE has presented Lesnar as the ultimate monster and that means it is difficult to find opponents for him. Now though, they might have an idea. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may be considering UFC Hall Of Famer Daniel Cormier as Lesnar’s next opponent. Cormier and Lesnar had a staredown in the UFC but never fought each other. A longtime wrestling fan, Cormier is set to be the guest referee for the Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules on October 8. Lesnar has not wrestled for WWE since Summerslam. Opinion: This does make a bit of sense as Cormier is the kind of person who could serve as a real threat to Lesnar while still being a threat. That being said, the Cain Velasquez deal didn’t exactl..

NXT Results – September 27, 2022

NXT Date: September 27, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett Things got shaken up in a big way last week as Ilja Dragunov debuted to add quite the wild card. JD McDonagh is the new #1 contender to Bron Breakker’s NXT Title but Dragunov is going to be put into a top spot rather quickly. This should be interesting on top of everything else around here so let’s get to it. Here is Ilja Dragunov to get things going. He has beaten a monster to win gold before and now he is ready to do it again. This time it isn’t Gunther though, but rather Bron Breakker. Cue JD McDonagh to call Dragunov a sneaky, dirty little rat and to say that he hopes Dragunov’s ankle is healed. McDonagh offers to end Dragunov’s career but here is Breakker to interrupt. Breakker says the title isn’t going anywhere but McDonagh has an idea: Dragunov vs. Breakker with McDonagh being there for to face the winner. That doesn’t work for Breakker, who says if his ma..

They’re Done: Team Splits On AEW Dynamite In Surprise Attack

So much for that. Stables are one of the most logical ideas in a wrestling company as a promotion might have too many wrestlers to use on their own. That means the best solution might be to put some of them together as a group, which is a common practice in AEW. Now though, one member of one of the stables seems to have left his group in a rather physical manner. This week on AEW Dynamite, Team Taz’s Ricky Starks lost the FTW Title to Hook in an impromptu title match. Following the match, Starks talked about how he was having a string of setbacks but he was proud of what he did with the FTW Title. As he was speaking, his Team Taz teammate Powerhouse Hobbs attacked him from behind. On commentary, Taz seemed surprised at Hobbs’ actions as Hobbs seemed to leave Team Taz. Hobbs has yet to give an explanation for his actions. Opinion: I was a bit surprised by the turn, but it could be an interesting way to go for both of them. Hobbs is a monster who could be a heck of a star on his own, w..

Monday Night Raw Results – July 11, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: July 11, 2022 Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re well on the way to Summerslam and that means the card is mostly set. I’m curious to see what that means we are going to be seeing added to the show, as that can often be more interesting than seeing things built up even more. If nothing else, Brock Lesnar is here tonight so let’s get to it. We open with a recap from Smackdown with Roman Reigns saying things pick up when the Big Dog comes around. Here is Brock Lesnar to get things going. Brock says God bless Texas and even takes his hat off to show some manners. Reigns talks about how Roman Reigns has been living high on the hog and at Summerslam, the hog is being slaughtered, like Lesnar does on his ranch. Violence is promised, but here is Paul Heyman to interrupt. Lesnar: “Speak of the hog.” Heyman talks about how Lesnar is a monster, but the fans say Heyman sucks. Lesnar asks if Heyman is going..

WWE Star Reveals She Is Currently Wearing A Heart Monitor

That sounds a bit more serious. There are all kinds of medical issues in wrestling and some of them can be quite bad. You see wrestlers get hurt all the time in one way or another, but there are often other issues that take place beneath the surface that you might not know about unless someone brings it up. That is the case again, and this time it is something rather important. Rhea Ripley has revealed that she is currently wearing a heart monitor. In a post on Twitter, Ripley showed herself wearing the monster and said “I’m Iron Man”. There is no word on why Ripley is wearing the monitor or how long she will need it. Ripley has been out of action since June, having to drop out of her Raw Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair. Ripley did not announce when she would return to the ring. I’m Iron Man. pic.twitter.com/XXjN8LPZw4 — RheaRipley_WWE (@RheaRipley_WWE) July 9, 2022 Opinion: That’s a rather serious situation and hopefully Ripley is able to get cleared up as soon as possib..

Hand It Over: Title Change Takes Place On WWE SmackDown

History has been made! There are a lot of titles under the WWE banner and some of them have been around for a very long time. Those titles are the ones that can kick start a wrestler’s rise to the top and the Intercontinental Title has a history of doing just that. The title might not have a perfect record, but winning it can be a great sign. That might be the case again. This week on SmackDown, Gunther defeated Ricochet to win the Intercontinental Title for the first time in his career. Gunther debuted on SmackDown in April and has gone undefeated since then, with his match against Ricochet being his first title shot. This comes amid reports of WWE higher ups, including Vince McMahon himself, being impressed with Gunther’s work so far. Opinion: This is a nice thing to see as Gunther feels like someone who could be different. You don’t get a monster like him very often and the fact that WWE is willing to give him the title before he has had the chance to undergo one of the company’s ..
