WATCH: Lacey Evans Debuts New Character In SmackDown Vignette

Another look. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler but a promotion has to find the right combination. Having a wrestler using the wrong character or the wrong story can be a career damaging situation but there are solutions out there. Sometimes a change needs to be made to a character or angle, and that is what WWE is doing again for someone who has undergone multiple changes. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Big One: WWE Star Reveals Recent Neck Fusion Surgery This week on SmackDown, a new vignette aired for Lacey Evans, showing her training with the United States Marine Corps. Evans is a former member of the Corps and has mentioned her service throughout her WWE career. This comes after Evans underwent multiple repackages this year, including one tied to her military service. Evans has only wrestled seven televised matches this year after missing over a year due to maternity leave. This could be the one. VIDEO: CM Punk To Appear In Ongoing Role On TV Drama Series

It’s a gig. Wrestlers have a weird relationship when it comes to acting, as while they are professional athletes, they are also acting in a way. They are asked to go out in front of an audience and portray a character, while also wrestling a match. That is easier said than done, but now one prominent wrestler is getting more into the pure acting side of things with the ring not being included. Earlier this week, AEW’s CM Punk appeared in an episode of Mayans M.C. as Paul, a military veteran. According to show runner Elgin James in an interview with Gamespot, the character was written with Punk in mind and he will continue to appear throughout the rest of season four. Punk has dabbled in acting before, most notably in the horror movie The Girl On The Third Floor and the Starz wrestling series Heels. Punk has some screen presence. Check out his appearance on the show: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is something that is rather cool to see as Punk has a bit of..

Main Event Results – July 29, 2021

Main Event Date: July 29, 2021 Location: T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, Missouri Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton The fans are back, but unfortunately it seems that the changes that had been taken place around here are not. Last week felt a lot like the Main Event days of old, which is far from exciting news. Normally I would say that I’m not surprised, but I really can’t say I am with this show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jaxson Ryker vs. Drew Gulak Ryker powers him into the corner to start so Gulak does it to him as well. Gulak’s slap to the face doesn’t seem to be the best idea as Ryker is back with a spinning slam. We hit the armbar on Gulak as we hear about Ryker’s military career again. Gulak switches into a cravate to hold Ryker down and it’s off to a cross arm choke. Ryker powers up into some ax handles to the chest and a release slingshot suplex drops Gulak again. The swinging Boss Man Slam finishes Gulak at 5:17. Result: Jaxson Ryker b. Drew Gulak – Swingi..

Surprising Turn Taking Place On Monday Night Raw

That’s a way to go. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them are easier to present than others. Sometimes a wrestler needs a little bit of a twist to make them work better though there is no guarantee that something is going to work. Every now and then a decision is made that might not make the most sense and now WWE is trying something else. According to PWInsider.com, Jaxson Ryker is expected to be a babyface going forward on the Monday Night Raw roster. Ryker has recently split from Elias and the two will be feuding going forward, with Elias working as the heel. This would be the first time that Ryker has worked as a babyface in WWE and comes as he has begun a new character focused on his former career in the military. This could be a big deal. Check out what Ryker can do: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things that is likely goi..

REVIEW: Tribute To The Troops 2006: Merry Christmas

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Tribute To The Troops 2006 Date: December 25, 2006 Location: Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler It’s time for a pretty cool tradition as this is the annual Tribute To The Troops show. This may or may not be your cup of beverage but let’s get to it. The opening video looks at the history of the USO and oth..
