Impact Wrestling Date: January 19, 2023 Location: Center Stage, Atlanta, Georgia Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We are done with Hard To Kill and that means it is time to go through the fallout period. The big story coming out of the show was Mickie James ending her Last Rodeo by defeating Jordynne Grace to become the new Knockouts Champion. Other than that, Josh Alexander is still the World Champion, having defeated Bully Ray in Full Metal Mayhem. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Jay Briscoe, with Tom Hannifan giving a brief voiceover about thoughts and prayers being with the Briscoe family. Long Hard To Kill recap. Here is Mickie James to get things going. The Last Rodeo may be over but Hardcore Country lives forever…and Bully Ray interrupts. Ray tells her to get out but James tells HIM to get out. Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2023 Results

Hard To Kill 2023 Date: January 13, 2023 Location: Center Stage, Atlanta, Georgia Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt It’s back to pay per view and Impact is actually on a heck of a roll right now. They are getting almost everything right at the moment and I’m wanting to see the show a lot more than I would have expected. We have a double main event as Bully Ray is challenging Josh Alexander in a Full Metal Mayhem match, plus Mickie James’ Last Rodeo continues as she challenges Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Title. Let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Kushida vs. Angels vs. Delirious vs. Mike Bailey vs. Mike Jackson vs. Yuya Uemura The previously unadvertised Delirious is replacing Bhupinder Gujjar). Delirious misses (maybe) a charge at the returning Kushida to start and winds up on the floor. Uemura and Kushida are left in the ring to trade arm holds until Kushida hiptosses him into the basement dropkick. Delirious comes back in to neckbreaker Kushida but it’s Jackson (73 years ol..

Ring Of Honor Final Battle 2022 Results

Final Battle 2022 Date: December 10, 2022 Location: College Park Center, Arlington, Texas Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman It’s the third or so Ring Of Honor event of the year, assuming you don’t count a good chunk of the Rampages from earlier this year. The main event of the show is (probably) Chris Jericho defending the Ring Of Honor World Title against Claudio Castagnoli, with a bonus feature of FTR vs. the Briscoes in a dog collar match for FTR’s Tag Team Titles. Let’s get to it. Zero Hour: Mascara Dorada vs. Jeff Cobb Dorada (better known as Gran Metalik) gets nowhere off a shoulder so a springboard flip is enough to put Cobb on the floor. The dive is pulled out of the air though and Cobb posts him hard to take over. Back in and Cobb stands on his back for a surfing pose, followed by a heck of a shot to the face for two. Cobb misses a charge into the corner though and Dorada sends him outside again, this time for the big flip dive. Back in again and a rope walk sent..

The Bad Version? Asuka Teases Return Of Former Persona (And It’s Scary)

She might need a change. There are different ways to present almost any wrestler. Sometimes a wrestler needs an adjustment to make things go that much better for them. That adjustment might be something brand new or something that they have done before. A WWE star is now suggesting that they might be returning to a previous gimmick that they have used before, but not in this company. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Excuses? Here Is The Surprising Reason Miro Has Been Missing From AEW TV The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Alexa Bliss defeat Asuka and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match to advance to next week’s #1 contenders match. Following the loss, Asuka posted a string of tweets, showing her in clown makeup, which she used during her time as Kana in Japan. Asuka also said that she did not want respect, but was going to go listen to the new Metallica song and go to bed. pic.twitter.com/Xd99IleI82 — ASUKA / ??? The main story is advancing a tournament whose finals have been moved from Full Gear to next week, which is the best option that AEW had all things considered. A right hand knocks Starks most of the way over a barricade and they go into the crowd with Starks diving onto him. They get to ringside, where Archer runs hi..

It would be a welcome return. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them are quite popular. One of the best things about having such a talented group of wrestlers is being able to see who shows up on any given week. It can be fascinating to see what you get, especially if one of them is a nice surprise. We might be seeing another one of them soon. Asuka has not wrestled on WWE television since Money in the Bank 2021 back in July. Since then, she had been seen in a photo with her arm in a metal brace, suggesting that she was on the injured list. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, Asuka could be back in WWE at any time as she should be cleared to return soon. There is no specific date given on when she will be back. These WWE Wrestlers Requested To Be Released

They got what they wanted. Last week, WWE continued its streak of releasing wrestlers from the company. This is something that they have done on and off for over the last year and a half, with eighteen more wrestlers being let go in the span of about an hour last week. As has been the case before though, not all of the releases were the same, and some of them were different than the others. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, at least Zayda Ramier, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik all requested their releases from the company. However, WWE did not immediately grant them, but rather waited for the rest of the group of releases to officially let them go. None of the three were being used by WWE, with Ramier only wrestling five matches during her time in the company and neither Metalik nor Dorado wrestling since September. They are some talented people. Check out the three of them in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This..

VIDEO: Special Tribute Entrance Before This Week’s SmackDown

Sticking to the classics. There are a lot of things that go into making someone a star in wrestling and some of them are a bit more obvious than others. One of the most important things is their entrance music, especially if it is part of a grand entrance package. That has been the case more than once over the years and someone paid tribute to a classic this week. A video has been posted to Twitter showing SmackDown broadcaster Pat McAfee making his entrance to Metallica’s Enter Sandman while carrying a Singapore cane. McAfee beat on the announcers’ table with the cane before taking his seat. This was done as a tribute to the Sandman, who wrestled in the original run of ECW. This week’s SmackDown took place in Philadelphia, ECW’s home city. This was pretty amazing. Update On Monday Night Raw Star Wanting WWE Release

It’s a different world. The last year and a half have seen wrestlers leaving WWE like we have not seen in a very long time. Some of these wrestlers have been let go against their will but some of them have left because they want to. That seems to be what another wrestler wants to do at the moment, and WWE does not seem to be opposed to agreeing to the idea. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Monday Night Raw’s Gran Metalik wanted out of his WWE contract. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is likely to grant his release request. The idea now is that there is no need to keep every wrestler available under contract, meaning Metalik’s request is more likely. Had this taken place just a few years ago, Metalik would have been left to finish out his contract, which expires in 2023. Metalik certainly as some skill. WWE RUMOR: Monday Night Raw Star Requests Release

So long again? WWE has been undergoing a lot of changes over the course of the year and a lot of that has been due to moves being made on the roster. This has included a lot of wrestlers leaving the promotion for one reason or another, some of which have not been voluntary. This time around though, another wrestler may be on their way out and by his own choice. According to MasLucha.com, Monday Night Raw star Gran Metalik has requested his release from WWE over not having enough opportunities or a clear path on the roster. Metalik’s current deal expires in 2023 and he has been with WWE since 2016, losing in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic. Metalik has spent the majority of his WWE career as a tag team wrestler, mainly as part of Lucha House Party. You might have forgotten about him. Adam Cole Is Having Another Kind Of Success In AEW

That’s one way of knowing how well he is doing. Theme music is a huge part of a wrestler’s overall presentation. The right or wrong song can be a great boost or problem for a wrestler, as it can help define them. Some theme songs become iconic for multiple reasons, with some of them including audience participation. Now a new song is doing rather well in a different way. Adam Cole made his AEW Debut at All Out earlier this month. He has since appeared on Dynamite, including wrestling his first match. During his appearances, Cole has come to the ring to his new theme song, “All Bout The (BOOM)”. According to Mikey Rukus, who performs the theme, the song has reached #4 on the iTunes metal charts and #11 on the iTunes rock charts. Thank you to the greatest fans in the world for making the Original #AEW Theme for @AdamColePro “All Bout Tha (BOOM!)” #4 on the iTunes Metal Charts and #11 on the iTunes Rock Charts!! pic.twitter.com/QsEAWLfJvH — RUKUS (@MikeyRukus) September 18, 2021 Cole ..

Main Event Date: June 17, 2021 Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Kevin Patrick We’re coming up on the Cell and that means things are likely going to be focusing on the pay per view. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mace/T-Bar vs. Lucha House Party Mace throws Gran Metalik down to start as commentary points out the difference in size. Lince Dorado comes in with a middle rope hurricanrana and a double dropkick puts Mace in the corner. T-Bar isn’t having that and pulls Dorado to the floor for a clothesline. Get Well Soon: Monday Night Raw Star Out With Injury

Get well soon. There are always going to be injuries in wrestling. No matter how much time and practice a wrestlers might put in during their career, there is no way to guarantee their complete health and safety. As is the case with any other sport, different injuries are going to keep a wrestler out of action for different amounts of time and now it seems to have happened again. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw opened with a tag team battle royal, featuring four regular teams. A fifth was scheduled for the match but the Lucha House Party did not participate. Instead, Lince Dorado wrestled alone for the team, as it was announced that Gran Metalik was injured. There is no word on how Metalik got hurt or how long he will be out of action. Metalik’s most recent match took place on the May 31 Monday Night Raw. Metalik was missed.
