That’s a plan. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the most effective ways to present someone can be to put them together into a big stable so wrestlers can get their own television time together. Now it seems that WWE is interested in putting together a bunch of people under quite the monster leader. Last weekend at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt returned to the company after a year plus absence. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt is expected to lead a stable called the Wyatt 6, a term he trademarked earlier in the year. The members will be based on characters from the Firefly Fun House, with the following wrestlers portraying them: Joe Gacy as Huskus Grayson Waller as Mercy the Buzzard Alexa Bliss as Sister Abigail Erick Rowan as Ramblin Rabbit Bo Dallas as The Fiend Liv Morgan and the Dyad are also considered as possible members in the place of some of the other names. No Mercy 2017 Date: September 24, 2017 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Booker T., Corey Graves I don’t remember being this excited for a B pay per view in a very long time. This show is all about the double main event with a combination of Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Title against Braun Strowman and John Cena vs. Roman Reigns in one heck of a big time match. What could have been. There are certain characters in wrestling who are about as unique as you can get. No one else can play them and no one else would be able to do it either. That is the kind of special status that you do not get to see very often but it is rather special when it works. WWE has that at the moment, but it was almost taken in a rather different direction. In a new interview with Metro.uk, Mike Bennett, formerly known as Mike Kanellis in WWE, revealed that was scheduled to portray Sister Abigail as part of a new Bray Wyatt faction. Bennett says that Vince McMahon wanted Wyatt to lead a faction again, this time with Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse puppets being portrayed by wrestlers. While Bennett would have been Abigail, Eric Young would have been Mercy the Buzzard. This never came to fruition and Bennett was released from WWE on April 15, 2020. This could have been a mess. I’d call it main event worthy. Wrestling promotions like to hype up the idea of a dream match, even if that might not be how some fans see it. The idea makes a lot of sense: this is the kind of match that you are not going to be able to see anywhere else but it is certainly worth the time and money to see it. WWE might be putting together something pretty close to one for this year’s Summerslam main event. Adrian Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast has sent out a tweet suggesting that the main event of this year’s Summerslam would be John Cena vs. Roman Reigns, potentially for the Universal Title. The tweet said “You can’t see what you can’t believe”, hinting at a Cena vs. Reigns match. Cena has been rumored to return to WWE in July for a potential Summerslam program. Reigns and Cena have faced off before, with Reigns defeating him at No Mercy 2017. Cena has mainly moved on to his acting career in recent years, with his last match taking place at WrestleMania 36 in the Firefly Fun House ma..
