Bad News: WWE Superstar Reportedly Arrested Last Month Over Firearm Charge

A valet reportedly found the gun and called authorities, leading to the arrest. Deville has possessed the weapon since she was stalked by a fan in August 2020. The gun is registered to her in Florida but not in New Jersey and Deville has a hearing scheduled for later this month. The company regularly features a variety of shows recapping recent action or focusing on interviews with wrestlers. Those shows have their own regular hosts, but a former one is now recalling a time when he was desperately trying to get off his own show. AEW President Tony Khan Issues New Rule Regarding Releases

That is pretty cut and dry. Over the last three plus years, AEW has gone from an idea to the second biggest wrestling company in the world. As a result, there are now several more spots available for wrestlers to show what they can do on a bigger stage. This certainly has its advantages, but it does not mean that everyone on the roster is pleased. Now management is taking some steps to keep people around. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW President Tony Khan has issued a new edict saying “nobody’s getting released”. This comes amid rumors of WWE contacting several AEW wrestlers with the hopes of them requesting their releases and coming back to WWE. Rumored names include Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews, though Black has denied the rumors. Opinion: This is a tricky one as while the wrestlers do want out of AEW, they also signed contracts saying that they would be around. Amongst them was that Triple H will now be overseeing all creative duties within the company. Keep Them Coming: WWE Adds More Names To Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

Keep filling up those spots. We are coming up on WWE’s annual Money In The Bank event, which will be headlined by the show’s namesake matches. These matches are among the biggest that WWE presents all year with some of the more prominent names in the company competing for a guaranteed on-demand shot at the World Title. Now we know some more names who will be getting their shot. This week’s SmackDown saw three more names added to the Money In The Bank ladder match fields. First, both Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were added to the men’s match. This is the result of a decision by WWE management after last week’s qualifying match ended in a double disqualification. Later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler to qualify for the women’s match. This means the men’s match now has three entrants (Sheamus, McIntyre, Seth Rollins) and the women’s match has four (Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) out of eight spots per match. Welcome to the team? One of the easiest ways to present several wrestlers at the same time is with a stable. The idea is something that has been done decades in wrestling and it still works to this day. You can take several wrestlers and put them together under a concept that could be either simple or more complex but it will often be a useful move. That might be the case again with some WWE stars. Last week, NXT star LA Knight appeared in a dark segment where he announced the Knight Model Management stable. Knight introduced Mace as his first client and helped him win a match. This week, Knight introduced Mansoor as the second member of the stable before SmackDown began. There is no word on if or when the team might debut on television. It was going to get people talking. AEW has been a complete game changer in the wrestling world and that has been a good thing. The company is led by President Tony Khan, who has been a force in wrestling since he entered the industry. However, like everyone else, Khan is going to have some controversial moments. They keep changing. The Coronavirus pandemic is still alive and well and there is nothing to suggest that it will be wrapping up anytime soon. We are currently in another spike and that could continue for a good while. The situation has certainly changed the wrestling industry again, and now we know a little bit more about how the biggest promotions are dealing with it. Earlier this week, several WWE wrestlers reportedly tested positive for the Coronavirus. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE wrestlers are not allowed to talk about their positive diagnosis as per orders from management. AEW wrestlers are under no such restrictions, though no wrestlers have disclosed a recent positive test. Call it a battleground. WWE is still the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and that has been the case for a very long time now. There is nothing to suggest that their status will change anytime soon, but they now have someone closing in on them for the first time in a good while. According to a Q&A session with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE wrestlers are not taking extreme sides between the two companies. Welcome back? There are a lot of people who make decisions in WWE but some of them are a lot more well known than others. A change in WWE’s higher up management can mean a lot for the company and that was the case, at least temporarily, earlier this year, when an executive had some health issues. AEW Star Opens Up About Current Mental Health Issues

Talking about it can help. Wrestlers are an interesting group of people as their job is to play larger than life characters on television but they have to find a way to turn that off once the show is over. That is a lot easier said than done, but somehow they have to find a way to make it work. Sometimes certain things from outside wrestling can cause some issues in front of the camera and that seems to be the case again. AEW star the Blade has posted a statement to Instagram, revealing that he has been dealing with issues of anxiety, depression and confidence. Blade mentions that he has had these issues all of his life but only realized it during the Coronavirus pandemic when they spiked. He has since tried to manage them on his own but recently suffered another spike. “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton Passes Away At Age 62

We have some sad news to report this morning as professional wrestling legend “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton has passed away at the age of 62. The news was confirmed by his sister, Debbie Lewis, via Facebook. From WrestlingInc.com: Eaton was hospitalized in late July after suffering a bad fall. He reportedly broke several fingers and damaged his hip during the fall. It’s unknown if his passing is related to the earlier accident. Eaton was best known for his work as one half of The Midnight Express. Under the management of Jim Cornette, he originally teamed with Dennis Condrey and, later on, with Stan Lane. A pioneer in the art of tag team wrestling, he also tagged with the likes of Arn Anderson, Koko B. Ware, Steve Keirn, and William Regal. Eaton wrestled for extended periods of time for various promotions such as Mid-America Wrestling, Continental Wrestling Association, Mid-South Wrestling, WCCW, Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW, and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Fan And Reporter Says He Was Targeted By NXT Management At Taping

That might not go well. The Coronavirus pandemic shook up the wrestling world in several ways and things are only starting to get back to normal. WWE has allowed fans back into their arenas for major shows for the last few events and NXT has allowed a small group of fans since the beginning of the summer. Now it seems that one fan in particular will not be around for the time being. Wrestling Observer Newsletter correspondent JJ Williams has posted a series of tweets saying that he was “singled out” and removed from recent NXT TV tapings due to working for the Newsletter. Williams is a regular at NXT tapings and has reported on them since 2014. According to Williams, his ID was photographed and all of the photos he had taken were deleted. He was also told that his social media was being monitored. As a result, Williams has said that he will no longer be attending NXT tapings.
