VIDEO: AEW Star’s Wife Unhappy With How He Is Being Used

I guess she isn’t pleased. There are a lot of people on the AEW roster, which makes things a little more complicated. While there is a lot of talent around in the company, there is only three hours of television time a week. That does not leave room for a lot of people to be included, which is made even more complicated when AEW is bringing in even bigger stars. Some people are not going to be used and now we are hearing some complaints. Melissa Santos, the former ring announcer for Lucha Underground and the wife of AEW’s Brian Cage, has taken to Twitter to complain about Cage’s current status in AEW. Santos mentions that Cage is a superstar and has not gotten the chance to show that so far. Cage responded and seemed to agree, though he did not say anything specifically negative about AEW. This comes as Cage has been feuding with Ricky Starks and Team Taz in recent weeks. I'm just going to leave this right here. @AEW @AEWonTNT #briancage pic.twitter.com/3Xjk8NDWSP — Melissa San..

REVIEW: Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground: It Must Be Someone’s Dream Shot

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground Date: April 6, 2018 Location: Sugar Mill, New Orleans, Louisiana Attendance: 1,400 Commentators: Josh Matthews, Matt Striker Now this is something that caught my eye as soon as it popped onto the schedule. Lucha Underground doesn’t get a lot of play outside of its own universe so having it come somewhere else could be interesting. On top of that, given how many of its wrestlers wrestle for Impact as well, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Just please be more like Lucha Undergroun..

Is WWE Interested In Bringing Back Alberto Del Rio?

That’s a big no. Alberto Del Rio is one of the more polarizing names in modern wrestling. There is no denying the fact that he’s a very good in-ring performer, but he’s not the most popular guy in the world and has had controversy follow him for a long time now. It’s fairly clear that his in-ring career is winding down, but there’s always the chance of one more run. Is WWE interested? Del Rio recently spoke with Superluchas.com and said that he was interested in a return to WWE. However, according to Fightful.com, WWE has absolutely no interest in bringing Del Rio back to the company. Del Rio reportedly rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and didn’t make things any better when he no showed last year’s Lucha Underground vs. Impact Wrestling event over WrestleMania weekend. Del Rio last wrestled for on the August 16, 2016, SmackDown Live. Del Rio did have his moments. Check out one of his better attacks on Big Show: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Good. I haven’t..

Rumor: John Morrison’s Next Wrestling Venture Could Be Huge

WrestlingInc, by way of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that former WWE Superstar and current Impact and Lucha Underground star John Morrison could be NJPW bound. New Japan Pro Wrestling first opened its doors back in 1972, but it has only been within the past few years that it has seen a strong international presence. With gaijin (foreign wrestlers) becoming more common in the promotion, NJPW is certainly growing in ways many people felt it never truly would. At the moment, Superstars such as Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Cody, Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Michael Elgin, Zack Sabre. Jr, Jay White, Juice Robinson, Bad Luck Fale, Killer Elite Squad, Beretta and others all compete for the promotion. Now, if the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is to be believed, Morrison could be the latest gaijin to make his way over to the company. Morrison has inquired into joining the company. He previously inquired, but due to his relationship with AAA, they were unable..

Of course the X Division title found me. Yeah, the belt has been through a lot of incarnations. But, what it has is a lineage that you can stand behind. A lineage that you can believe in. A lineage that is what wrestling is today. I am NOT like any other wrestler...

El Rey Exec on Lucha Underground Renewal: “Looks Good”

IGN recently interviewed Skip Chaisson, El Rey Network’s chief creative officer, about the potential of Lucha Underground being renewed for a fourth season. During the interview, Chaisson said the show’s future “looks good.” He would not confirm nor deny, however, the show itself being renewed.

Chaisson noted that one of the biggest talking points at the El Rey Network is where LU fits into their TV schedule going forward. Though he also noted that he and network head/famed filmmaker Robert Rodriguez love the show. “I can’t emphasize enough just how giving the wrestlers are,” he said, “and just working with Eric [Van Wagenen, Lucha Underground’s executive producer] and Chris [DeJoseph, co-executive producer] – it’s just so much fun.”

Luckily for LU, El Rey is still airing season 3 of the series. This leaves plenty of time for the network to decide the show’s future.
