Former WWE Star Announces Signing With New Promotion

He has a new home. The massive amounts of WWE releases over the last year and a half have changed the way the wrestling world works. There have been so many wrestlers leaving the promotion, with the majority of them leaving against their will. That means there are all kinds of wrestlers on the free agent market, but now one more of them seems to have signed with a promotion. During an interview on the Paltrocast, former WWE star Lince Dorado has announced that he has signed with Impact Wrestling. Dorado mentioned that he wants to go after the X-Division Title, currently help by Trey Miguel. Impact Wrestling has not announced that Dorado has signed with the company and there is no word on when he could be making his debut. Dorado was released from WWE in November 2021 and has not wrestled since September 2021. Opinion: While Dorado is a star from WWE, I’m a bit surprised by the idea of him announcing his new signing instead of letting Impact Wrestling announce it themselves. Hopefully..

These WWE Wrestlers Requested To Be Released

They got what they wanted. Last week, WWE continued its streak of releasing wrestlers from the company. This is something that they have done on and off for over the last year and a half, with eighteen more wrestlers being let go in the span of about an hour last week. As has been the case before though, not all of the releases were the same, and some of them were different than the others. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, at least Zayda Ramier, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik all requested their releases from the company. However, WWE did not immediately grant them, but rather waited for the rest of the group of releases to officially let them go. None of the three were being used by WWE, with Ramier only wrestling five matches during her time in the company and neither Metalik nor Dorado wrestling since September. They are some talented people. Check out the three of them in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This..

Main Event Results – August 5, 2021

Main Event Date: August 5, 2021 Location: Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton It can always be curious to see how a bit of a harsher crowd might react to a show like this one. Main Event is back to its old self as of late and that is not the most inspiring news. Hopefully this is the show that shakes things up again, as the show could already use another change. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Angel Garza vs. Lince Dorado Garza doesn’t seem to think much of the LUCHA dance so he takes Dorado down by the wrist. That’s broken up with a flying mare and a hurricanrana sends Garza outside. Hang on a second though as Garza needs to hand a rose to a fan, allowing Dorado to get in another takedown. Back in and Dorado grabs a neck crank until Garza backdrops his way to freedom. Garza flapjacks him for two but he has to fight out of a cross armbreaker. A dropkick lets Garza TAKE OFF HIS PANTS, setting up a superkick and the Wing Clipper to finish Dor..

Main Event Results – June 17, 2021

Main Event Date: June 17, 2021 Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Kevin Patrick We’re coming up on the Cell and that means things are likely going to be focusing on the pay per view. As is becoming the norm around here, you can’t really guess what you might be seeing and that is a welcome change after the years of monotony. Maybe we might even get something interesting this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mace/T-Bar vs. Lucha House Party Mace throws Gran Metalik down to start as commentary points out the difference in size. Lince Dorado comes in with a middle rope hurricanrana and a double dropkick puts Mace in the corner. T-Bar isn’t having that and pulls Dorado to the floor for a clothesline. Back in and Dorado manages a faceplant on Mace but T-Bar takes out Metalik to avoid a hot tag. The alternating stomping ensues in the corner but Dorado manages to slip away and make the hot tag to Metalik. Everything breaks down and it’s Feast Your..

Get Well Soon: Monday Night Raw Star Out With Injury

Get well soon. There are always going to be injuries in wrestling. No matter how much time and practice a wrestlers might put in during their career, there is no way to guarantee their complete health and safety. As is the case with any other sport, different injuries are going to keep a wrestler out of action for different amounts of time and now it seems to have happened again. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw opened with a tag team battle royal, featuring four regular teams. A fifth was scheduled for the match but the Lucha House Party did not participate. Instead, Lince Dorado wrestled alone for the team, as it was announced that Gran Metalik was injured. There is no word on how Metalik got hurt or how long he will be out of action. Metalik’s most recent match took place on the May 31 Monday Night Raw. Metalik was missed. Check out the battle royal, plus Metalik in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post..

New #1 Contenders Crowned On Monday Night Raw

They’re up next. It is rather easy for a wrestling promotion to present a title match. All you need is someone holding a title and someone else going after it because they want to be champion for whatever reason. That is something any wrestling fan can understand as it is such a simple concept. WWE is going to be trying it again soon and now we have everyone involved. This week’s Monday Night Raw opened with a tag team battle royal, won by the Viking Raiders. As a result, the Raiders will receive a future Raw Tag Team Title shot against AJ Styles and Omos, though it was not announced when the match will take place. The other teams included the New Day, RKBro, Mace/T-Bar and John Morrison and Lince Dorado, the latter of whom wrestled as singles wrestlers because their partners are injured. The title match could be awesome. Check out the battle royal and the teams involved: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains vide..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – June 7, 2021

Monday Night Raw Date: June 7, 2021 Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re less than two weeks away from Hell In A Cell and that means it is time to start finishing up the build. This includes a contract signing between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre, which is a trope we haven’t seen in at least a few weeks. Other than that, Shayna Baszler continues her issues with an evil doll. Let’s get to it. A bunch of tag teams (and Lince Dorado, as Gran Metalik is injured) are in the ring for a #1 contenders battle royal. With that being so serious, cue AJ Styles and Omos to watch. AJ talks about how WWE is going to be back on the road next month and they are going to defend the titles against the best Raw has to offer. AJ: “And uh, WOW!” We hear about how AJ and Omos could take care of all of the teams (or just Lince Dorado, as Gran Metalik is injured), save for RKBro. AJ talks about how great Orton is but Omos uses various adje..

205 Live Results – December 12, 2018

205 Live Date: December 12, 2018 Location: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson We’re in an interesting place here as we have a Cruiserweight Title match set for Sunday, and that means we need something to fill in the gap before then. There’s a good chance that we’ll get a hard sell for the title match so whatever else we get could be rather interesting. Let’s get to it. Drake Maverick introduces the show and explains tonight’s matches: Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander will be facing wrestlers Maverick has chosen. Murphy will face Gran Metalik while Alexander will face Tony Nese. Buddy Murphy vs. Gran Metalik Non-title. Kalisto and Lince Dorado are here, complete with pinatas. Murphy takes him straight down by the arm without much effort and gets reversed even faster. A few pulls of the mask keep Metalik down but he nips back up and scares Murphy into the corner. With Murphy knocked out to the floor, it’s a flip dive to put him ..

Main Event Results – May 24, 2018

Main Event Date: May 24, 2018 Location: Times Union Center, Albany, New York Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph, Percy Watson I’m out of ways to say that this show is going to be all about Money in the Bank qualifying matches. Those things have dominated Monday Night Raw and Smackdown for the last few weeks now and it’s burned out a lot of my interest in the upcoming pay per view. It says a lot when the Main Event original content needs to bail us out. Let’s get to it. Here are last week’s results if you need a recap. Opening sequence. Brian Kendrick/Jack Gallagher vs. Lince Dorado/Kalisto Kendrick uses an early Gallagher distraction to take Kalisto down in the corner to start. A backbreaker keeps Kalisto in trouble and let’s talk about the Cruiserweight Title match. Kendrick can’t get the Captain’s Hook so it’s off to Gallagher (no longer in Slytherin green), who is backdropped in a hurry. That’s not enough for a hot tag though as Gallagher runs over ..

An Injured Superstar Returned To Action Before Raw Last Night

Before Raw last night in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion returned to action, partaking in a tag team match. The Brian Kendrick has been out of action for the past few months since receiving an injury from Hideo Itami via a botched GTS. This led to Jack Gallager being forced to go it alone. Gallagher would obviously go on to be part of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament and have mild success before being eliminated. Kendrick has appeared on 205 Live in recent weeks backstage but did not come out to compete. This changed on Raw. He predictably teamed with Gallager in a losing effort against Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik.
