Davila dismissed the case, basically saying that MLW did not make a strong enough argument to back up claims of WWE violating antitrust laws. “The Genius” Lanny Poffo Passes Away At Age 68
We have some sad news to report today as Lanny Poffo, who was known as “The Genius” in WWE has passed away at the age of 68. From WWE.com: The son of Angelo Poffo and younger brother of WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Lanny Poffo had a style all his own. Arriving in WWE in 1985 alongside his brother, “Leaping” Lanny Poffo was one of the first high-flyers in WWE. While he achieved some success as a fan favorite reading his own poetry and throwing Frisbees to the crowd, he reached new heights as The Genius while managing Mr. Perfect. Lanny had the honor of inducting his brother into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. He’s not a favorite. There have been a lot of stories taking place throughout the wrestling world this year and some of them feel like they could drag on for a good while. That is the case with the set of issues involving CM Punk and AEW, many of which involved statements made by Punk. The company’s main television show, Dynamite, has been a major part of its rise as the show regularly features the top AEW names in a variety of matches. Can you blame him? NXT is a pretty unique wrestling show, as it is designed to be both WWE’s developmental territory as well as its own promotion. Three Wrestlers Fired Over Legitimate Attack At Recent Show
That’s serious. There are a lot of factors that go into a wrestling match in order to make it work. Wrestlers are tasked with making the fans care about what they are seeing, while also telling a story and keeping your opponents safe. Most of the time this works out well, but there are times when things go off the rails. That was the case again recently and it got bad in a hurry. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Los Parks (LA Park, LA Park Jr. and El Hijo de LA Park) are no longer with Major League Wrestling (MLW) after they legitimately attacked two wrestlers at the March 31 show. MLW owner Court Bauer has confirmed the story. The three were scheduled to run in on a Jacob Fatu math to set up Park vs. Fatu, with Alex Hammerstone making the save.
