One More: Sami Zayn Getting Another Title Shot Against Roman Reigns

Run it back. Every so often, you will run across a match that is built almost solely on emotion. The build to the match goes so well that by the time it actually rolls around, you almost have to see what happens. That can make for some very special moments and it is even better when you get to see the match take place. Now we are going to get to see the rematch. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s In Charge: Former WWE Champion Set To Host WrestleMania 39 The main event of WWE Elimination Chamber saw Sami Zayn challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. While Zayn lost, it took some interference for Reigns to retain and the match was close throughout. Now WWE is running the match again, this time at a live event on March 4 at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This marks a rare live event appearance for Reigns, who wrestles on a relaxed schedule. JUST ANNOUNCED! Canada’s own @SamiZayn takes on @WWERomanReig..

WWE Changes Longstanding Rule About “Dirty Words”

Get your scripts updated. WWE has been undergoing a variety of changes and some of them are going to be felt for a long time to come. Most of these changes have been behind the scenes, but a good many of those are going to have an impact on what happens in front of the camera. That seems to be the case again, as some longstanding rules might be relaxed a bit. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is relaxing its rule on the use of the terms “wrestler” and “wrestling” in promos. Previously, the terms needed prior authorization to be used but now the terms are no longer considered dirty. This is said to be part of the changes taking place in WWE, many of which are seen as positives. Triple H is now in charge of both creative and talent relations and is said to be someone who cares about talent. Opinion: This is the kind of change that seems like the most logical idea in the world. At the end of the day, only WWE would ever think to call itself sports entertainment rather ..

WWE Reportedly No Longer Testing For Marijuana

That’s something specific. The WWE has come a long way when it comes to its drug testing policies. The company does not have the best history in regards to taking care of its wrestlers but the last several years have seen a much strong emphasis on the situation. However, one change has taken place recently as the company seems to be lightening up on a specific area. According to Fightful Select, WWE has not suspended or fined wrestlers for positive marijuana tests in years. WWE’s official drug policy on its website states that wrestlers will be fined $2,500 for a positive test, though WWE is apparently not enforcing this part of the policy. A WWE higher up said that he hasn’t heard as much as gossip about marijuana in years, let alone a fine being levied. There is nothing to suggest that any other parts of the policy have been relaxed. Opinion: This shouldn’t be a surprise and it is kind of hard to argue against the policy being lightened up. At the end of the day, there are states i..

International Star Says He Doesn’t Have The Urge To Wrestle Anymore

Maybe not? Wrestlers are like any other athlete, in that at some point they are not going to compete any longer. The end of their career can be something sad to see, but it is going to happen to everyone at some point. Some wrestlers get to leave on their own terms and it is great when someone gets that luxury. That seems to be the case for someone else, at least from their current promotion. New Japan Pro Wrestling star Juice Robinson appeared on Wrestling Observer Live and announced that his New Japan contract is expiring on April 30 and he will not be wrestling for the promotion any longer. Robinson said that he wants to relax for a bit rather than wrestle somewhere else, though he did say that he does not have the urge to wrestle anymore. There is nothing to suggest that this means Robinson, 33, is ready to retire. Opinion: I hope Robinson isn’t planning to retire but if he does not want to at the moment, good for him for getting out when he wants to. Robinson is someone who has ..

Switch: AEW Star Undergoing Gimmick Change

She is moving on. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler to the audience and some of them can be a little bit over the top. Wrestlers have to find the right balance between absurd and believable to make things work, which can be rather tricky. Sometimes adjustments need to be made to find the right balance, which seems to be the case again with a current star. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW may be changing Kris Statlander’s gimmick. Statlander’s longstanding character had been that of an alien from the Andromeda galaxy but she has recently been acting more like a normal person, with the alien characteristics being dropped. The gimmick is not said to have been entirely dropped yet but Statlander is moving in a new direction. Opinion: This is probably the right way to go, as the alien gimmick was only going to get Statlander so far. It is a pretty silly and over the top character but the talent is certainly there. Statlander is good at what she does and it makes ..

Opinion: Everyone, Just Relax – 2022 Royal Rumble Edition

The 2022 Royal Rumble has come and gone, and with it, a number of people who are unhappy about how the event transpired. While some are complaining about the in-ring competition, the majority of the griping has to do with the booking of the show and how things didn’t go down as they thought that they should. This is where I come in. This article is the first of what I guarantee will be many in a series during my time at Wrestling Rumors. This new segment is called: Everyone, Just Relax. Side note, you can find the audio version of this article on The Hoots Podcast, of which new episodes are released every Thursday. [This post contains video, click to play] After this year’s Royal Rumble, naturally, Twitter exploded with messaging saying that “this was the worst show ever” and that “AEW is going to buy WWE in a few years”. However, if you just take a step back and think about things for a minute, you will realize that there is some long-term storytelling going on here that will pl..

How Are WWE And AEW Testing For COVID-19?

The more you know. The COVID-19 pandemic has been at the forefront of world culture for the past 6 months, and almost every industry has been affected by its devastation. However, professional wrestling has found a way to remain on the air, using testing to providing a safe working environment for all of their performers, staff, and production team. But how have they done it? According to a report from Wrestling Inc., both WWE and AEW are doing weekly COVID-19 tests to all performers, to ensure that it is safe for them to be in a wrestling ring each night. Furthermore, the fact that all performers have been tested has led to the relaxed nature of mask-wearing by the talent for both companies. Here is how each company is handling its testing procedures: WWE: All talents are instructed to show up to a parking garage the day before tapings. Talents stay in their cars and are given a nasal swab test. The talent then leave and are sent a text, or other message, later that night letting..

Exclusive Rumor: Top Tag Team May Be Leaving Impact Wrestling For AEW

The roster continues to grow. AEW has been one of the biggest stories of the year so far, with one big name after another signing with the promotion that has yet to actually run a show. With the countdown looming until the first event held by the new company, the question becomes who else will be added to the roster. We now might have some new names coming, and they’re rather talented. Wrestlingrumors.net has learned through sources that LAX may be leaving Impact Wrestling at some point after May 5 and signing with AEW. There is still a chance that LAX could wind up working for both companies if a deal can be reached. At the moment, LAX is scheduled to challenge the Lucha Bros for the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Titles at Rebellion later this month. If you haven’t been watching Impact, it’s worth it to see these guys. Check out LAX’s return to the company: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: AEW has certainly shown itself to be a tag team heavy promotion and adding in..

Impact Wrestling Date: March 29, 2019 Location: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Don Callis, Josh Matthews We’re still in Las Vegas and on the way to the both United We Stand and Rebellion, meaning it’s hard to say what we’re going to be seeing in the next few weeks. Opening recap and preview, this time with narration for a change. Opening sequence. Here are LAX and the Lucha Bros for an unsanctioned fight, meaning the Tag Team Titles aren’t on the lines. Impact Wrestling Taping Results From Sunday Night *SPOILERS*

We’re moving forward. Impact Wrestling has undergone a renaissance this year with some of the best television they’ve put on in years, including a heck of a show at Slammiversary. It’s been one of the best things I’ve seen them do in a very long time and I’m actually curious to see where they’re going to go in the future. Now we know where some of those things are going to be going. Impact Wrestling was back at the Rebel Sports Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sunday to tape some more television. It’s not clear when this show will air but the most likely date would be sometime later this month, probably starting on August 19. There is always the chance that these results will air out of order, which is a common situation for Impact Wrestling. Here are the results, courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com: * Joe Hendry defeated Tyson Dux (Xplosion Match) * LAX (w/ Konnan) defeated Tarik and Brent Banks (Xplosion Match) * Brian Cage (c) defeated Fenix (w/ Pentagon Jr.) (Impact X Division C..

Impact Star Caleb Konley Reveals His Insane Methods To Watch The Show Growing Up

Impact Wrestling Superstar Caleb Konley was interviewed by James Walsh on Interactive Wrestling Radio where he revealed a number of insane methods he used to watch the product when he went to school. On being paired with Trevor Lee as the Cult of Lee: “Well, Trevor is from about 2 hours away from where I live in Charlotte. I’ve known him since he was about 16 years old. We’re both from the same area, we’re both second generation guys. We’re both tired of the bullcrap that comes along on the indies and on Impact. Some guys want to go out there and be fancy and do all the flips and all the cool spots. We’re just going out there to bash heads and we’re going to talk crap to you while we do it!” On changing his look to fit the Cult of Lee persona: “It didn’t take much! Just stop shaving, basically! (laughs)” On the Cult of Lee’s feud with LAX: “Feud is a good way to put it! I like wrestling those guys. They bring out the best of me and Trevor. But, at the same time, we clash. We are oil ..

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Discussing his Restraining Order Against Jim Cornette, Will he Press Charges? More!

<p>Russo was avoiding this discussion and he had no intention of talking about this on his show, but after multiple false reports from wrestling ‘journalists’, he thought he had to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/clear/" title="clear">clear</a></strong> the air and get the true <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/story/" title="story">story</a></strong> out there once and for all.</p><p>Speaking about the wrestling ‘journalists’, he points out that not one of them reached out to him to get the actual story after this news broke. Instead, they all took the news and gave their own biased spin on it, which is the polar opposite of respectable journalism. This proved the point that he’s been saying for years, that if you’re paying for the opinions of these guys, you’re wasting your money.</p><p></p><p>Getting into the heart of the situation, Russo says that he has been ridiculed by Jim Cornette for over two decades. It has been a constant battle between him and Cornette, but in the past couple of weeks Cornette took things to an entirely new level by threatening violence on him and his family.</p><p>He says that he only lives roughly two hours from Cornette now, and his wife is often home alone. She was <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/quite/" title="quite">quite</a></strong> upset after Cornette’s recent rant, and Russo felt it was necessary to take matters into his own hands by getting this Order of Protection. Hopefully this allows his wife to relax, and keeps Cornette out of their business for the foreseeable future.</p>
