The Battle Continues: WWE Interested In Star Who Appeared On AEW Dynamite

He’s on their radar. The introduction of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. It is not clear if Komander will be returning to AEW TV in the future. Komander is a different kind of star. Check out what has WWE interested..

He’s back. Any wrestler can go through all kinds of health issues during their time in the ring. REVIEW: WrestleMania 29: Round Two

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Wrestlemania XXIX Date: April 7, 2013 Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Attendance: 80,676 Commentators: Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s Rock vs. John Cena II and I don’t think you need to hear anything else about the main event. With that match out of the way, the biggest name left is the Undertaker, who will be facing CM Punk in a match that might have been better had it been for the title. This time it’s personal though, as Paul Bearer had recently passed away, leaving ..

No Way Out 2000 Date: February 27, 2000 Location: Hartford Civic Center, Hartford, Connecticut Attendance: 12,551 Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler This is more or less about one thing: Hell in a Cell. If Cactus Jack loses, he retires. Other than that there isn’t a lot to talk about. Oh actually there is. At the Rumble, Big Show had been thrown out but claimed that Rock was out first. Tonight there’s a match where the winner goes to Mania. The Radicals are here now also so we have a fully fleshed out roster for th..

Elimination Chamber 2014 Date: February 23, 2014 Location: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota Commentators: John Bradshaw Layfield, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole Tonight is the final big stop on the Road to Wrestlemania with six men possibly leaving with the WWE Championship. It’s actually a wide open field tonight with at least three people having a realistic shot at walking out with the belt. However there might be an even more interesting match on the card with the Wyatt Family vs. the Shield in a ..

Switcheroo: Former Longtime WWE Star Talks Changing Up His In Ring Style

It’s a change. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler and some of them work better than others. A slight tweak in how a wrestler comes off can change everything about them, either for good or bad. Occasionally a wrestler with a serious background might want to shake things up a bit and now an established veteran is going to be trying to do just that for himself. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: King Time: Jim Ross Provides Health Update On Jerry “The King” Lawler Following Stroke Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango during his time in WWE, was a guest on the Windy City Slam podcast where he confirmed that he had signed a one year contract to join the Impact Wrestling roster. Dango also talked about wanting to transition to a more serious style rather than his established comedy style. King Time: Jim Ross Provides Health Update On Jerry “The King” Lawler Following Stroke

That could be worse. There are all kinds of health problems that a wrestler could have throughout their career, with many of them being the same kind of thing that run of the mill people deal with every day. Those are often the more serious ones though and the question becomes how the recovery is going to go. That is the case again, as a wrestling legend is recovering from a health scare. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Working On It: Update On WWE’s WrestleMania 39 World Title Plans Earlier this week, news broke that WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler had undergone a health issue, which has since been confirmed as a stroke. I spoke very briefly with ?@JerryLawler? tonight. He’s obviously weak but I could understa..

So that’s it? Retirement is a tricky thing in wrestling, as so many wrestlers will come back for one more match after they have decided to hang up their boots. It can be so easy to come back and wrestle one more time, whether it makes sense or not. All kinds of wrestlers will announce that their careers are over, and now another legend has said that he won’t be wrestling again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: Jerry Lawler Hospitalized After “Serious” Medical Issue Last month, WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T. appeared in the men’s Royal Rumble match, lasting about 45 seconds. Please be ok. There are all kinds of medical issues that a wrestler can face and some of them are a lot more serious than others. Royal Rumble 2003 Date: January 19, 2003 Location: Fleet Center, Boston, Massachusetts Attendance: 15,338 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler This is a really odd entry in the series as the namesake match is being treated as secondary to almost everything else. Really, coming into this show, there’s a good argument to be made that Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie is being treated as a bigger deal than the Rumble itself. Let’s get to it. The opening video is your standard montage of w..

This time around that’s the Elimination Chamber for the vacant World Title with Shawn Michaels as guest referee to annoy everyone. Other than that…there is nothing on this show worth anything whatsoever. Let’s get to it. The opening video starts by talking about how awesome Puerto Ri..

Survivor Series 2019 Date: November 24, 2019 Location: Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Vic Joseph, Jerry Lawler, Nigel McGuinness, Beth Phoenix We have finally arrived. After several weeks of Raw, Smackdown and NXT invading each others’ shows, it is time to see which show is best and that could be interesting. Raw has won the competition three years in a row, though this is NXT’s first time being included. The card looks good, albeit huge. Let’s get to it. I was in the are..

Therefore, the main event is a five on five Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown Survivor Series elimination tag for pure bragging rights. At least they didn’t have a..

REVIEW: Survivor Series 2000: Austin Does Machinery

Steve Austin is back from his neck surgery and going after the mastermind behind his attack with another match against HHH. At the same time, we have the Rock vs. Rikishi, who famously did it for da Rock. Let’s get to it. The opening video looks at HHH bei..

Bryan Danielson Reveals Retirement Plans in 2024; Comments on Potential Last Match

Bryan Danielson is widely considered one of the best wrestlers in the world. A lot of people felt that after the CM Punk situation that The American Dragon was the perfect guy to take the AEW World Championship and reestablish its prestige. There’s a lot in the air and on the rumor mill about his wrestling future, especially in AEW. Bryan Danielson himself just appeared on the latest episode of One Fall with Ron Funches, where he specifically discussed his plans for his wrestling career once his current deal with AEW expires in 2024. Related: William Regal And Bryan Danielson Offering Extra Training To AEW Stars The most significant aspect is that Bryan Danielson would prefer to wrestle “two weeks before he dies.” Objectively, Danielson has no intention of actually retiring from the ring. Danielson just wanted to make it clear that once his current AEW contract expires, he will not be a “full-time” wrestler anymore. Bryan compared himself to Jerry Lawler or Terry Funk in terms of ho..

Survivor Series 2003 Date: November 16, 2003 Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas Attendance: 13,487 Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, Tazz This is another big one and it’s also a one sided show. The Smackdown offerings are about as uninteresting as they could be while the Raw side looks at at least marginally better. This isn’t a great show on paper and I have a bad feeling that it’s going to be even worse as it actually takes place. Let’s get to it. The opening video ..

Bret Hart Names The Greatest Villain In WWE History (You Might Be Surprised)

That’s some high praise. There have been a lot of stars throughout WWE’s history but only a few have reached the top of the company. Those are the names that fans remember for decades to come as they have left a lasting impact on everything they do. Hearing from them even after they are retired can still mean a lot and now one of the all time legends has made a bold statement. During a recent edition of WWE’s Table For Three, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart said he never saw a villain in WWE who was as good as Jerry Lawler, who was also on the show. Hart and Lawler feuded on and off from 1993 until 1995, with the two squaring off in multiple matches, with their most notable being the Kiss My Foot match at King Of The Ring 1995. Opinion: You don’t get that kind of praise from someone on Hart’s level very often and Lawler deserves quite a bit of credit. There was something so dastardly about Lawler that it was easy to want to see him get pounded into the ground every time he was on camera...
