Hook Them Up: New Pairing Forms This Week On AEW Dynamite

Join the team. A manager can do quite a few positive things for a wrestler. There might be someone who needs someone to do the talking for them or someone who can bring some instant interest to them. AEW does that on a regular basis with a variety of managers who work for several wrestlers. Now they have another pairing which was formed this week and already has potential. This week on AEW Dynamite, Ethan Page was in the ring and complained about getting no attention in AEW. Page asked why he wasn’t having a match every week or why his face wasn’t featured in more advertising for the company. Stokely Hathaway came out and stared at Page before handing him his business card. The two left together, suggesting that Page has joined Hathaway’s group. Page had been associated with Dan Lambert for several months but there was no mention of Lambert this week. Opinion: This is something that could be interesting as Page does need something to do. Page has talent but he has not had the chance ..

AEW Dynamite Results – June 29, 2022 (Blood & Guts)

Dynamite Date: June 29, 2022 Location: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, Michigan Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone It’s another major show here as we go from Forbidden Door on Sunday to Blood & Guts tonight. That would be AEW’s version of WarGames, albeit with twelve people this time as the match needs to be bigger, but it does look good on paper. Other than that, I’m not sure what else we have as so much has been put into the New Japan stuff for the last few weeks. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ethan Page vs. Orange Cassidy Before the match, Dan Lambert complains about the Best Friends being here because they aren’t official managers and we have regulations in his state. Oh and Cassidy is skinny and has no muscles whatsoever. Page starts fast and knocks him down but Cassidy nips up and grabs an armdrag to the floor. There’s the suicide dive, followed by the high crossbody for one back inside. Page is back up with some shots of his own and Cassidy gets knocked into the..

AEW Rampage Results – March 25, 2022

Rampage Date: March 25, 2022 Location: HEB Center, Cedar Park, Texas Commentators: Taz, Chris Jericho, Excalibur We are back on Friday and that means we should be in for the heavy wrestling show. There is also a title match this week as Shane Strickland gets to challenge Ricky Starks for the FTW Title. Other than that, hometown boy Dustin Rhodes is facing Lance Archer in a bid for revenge from months ago. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Lance Archer vs. Dustin Rhodes Archer drags one of Rhodes’ students to the ring but here is Dustin for the save. Hold on though as Dustin has to beat up Dan Lambert (who is still managing Archer) but Archer makes the save. They head inside with Archer knocking him around and hitting him in the head. Dustin fights back up and knocks him outside, only to miss the flip dive off the apron. Back in and Dustin is bleeding from the ear, with the blood on Archer’s hands for a good visual. A twisting middle rope splash gives Archer two and we take a break..

Stick Around: AEW Signs Star To Multi-Year Extension

He’s in for the long haul. Despite everything that the company has accomplished so far, AEW has not been around for very long. We are still coming up on the three year anniversary of the company’s first show and there have been several roster changes since the debut. Now though, one wrestler is going to be sticking around after signing a new contract with the company. According to Fightful Select, AEW has signed Ethan Page to a long term extension with the company, with the deal being made at some point last year. The terms of the deal were not disclosed but it is expected to be a multiple year deal. Page debuted with the company in March 2021 and has become part of the Men of the Year stable along with Dan Lambert and Scorpio Sky. Opinion: Page might not be the biggest star in AEW but he is someone worth keeping around. AEW needs young stars who can be there in the coming years and that is what they are covering here. It is a good idea and something that seems to make both sides hap..

WATCH: Former UFC Star Makes Surprising AEW Return

That could be a success. There is a long history of mainstream athletes crossing over into wrestling. Some of them have made full on careers out of the move while others only pop in for a little while. Mixed martial artists have had a nice bit of success in wrestling, with names like Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey at the top of the list. Now we might be seeing another one trying her hand at wrestling. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured an argument between Dam Lambert and Brandi Rhodes. Lambert said that he would not lay a hand on Rhodes, but he knew someone who would. This brought out Paige VanZant, who got in a pull apart brawl with Rhodes. VanZant had made some appearances with Lambert as part of his American Top Team mixed martial artists. There is no word on when or if VanZant will be wrestling a match. It was a busy night. Check out how the return and brawl went down: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is something that could be interesting, as Va..

Two More Matches Set For AEW Full Gear With A Surprise Each

The show is growing. We are well on the way to AEW Full Gear and that means the card is almost entirely put together. The key to that however is almost, as there is still some time to set things up before we get to the pay per view. AEW has all kinds of wrestlers available and now we have two more matches finally set, as there were some details officially confirmed this week. Two more Full Gear matches were officially confirmed this week on Dynamite. These matches had both been announced in advance, but more details had to be set. First up, the Inner Circle selected the three members of American Top Team to join the Men of the Year in a street fight. The Inner Circle chose Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski and Dan Lambert to take part in the match. Later, in the show’s main event, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy to earn a spot in the World Title Eliminator Tournament, where he will face Bryan Danielson. Following the match, Danielson came to the ring and offered Miro a handshake but Mi..

MMA Fighter Slams Her AEW Appearance, Calls Wrestling “So Stupid”

I guess she isn’t a fan. Wrestling is in a weird place when it comes to athletics. While it is certainly an athletic field, it is not exactly the same as traditional sports. The endings to wrestling matches are determined in advance and that is something that a lot of people are not going to like. It seems to be the case with a more mainstream athlete who appeared on a recent wrestling show. One of the bigger stories taking place in AEW at the moment is the rivalry between Dan Lambert and the American Top Team mixed martial arts fighters and the Inner Circle. Several mixed martial artists have appeared in the angle, including Kayla Harrison. However, in an interview with Jim Varsallone, Harrison has said that she will not be back, saying that fighters who keep going back to wrestling are “yahoos” and described wrestling as “so stupid” and “so silly”. Harrison made one appearance in the angle and did not return. That’s a rather hard no. Check out how the angle has gone so far: [This ..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – February 17, 2021

Here is the full show if you would like to watch it for free: [This post contains video, click to play] Fusion #122 Date: February 17, 2021 Location: Filthy Island, Hawaii Commentators: Dan Lambert, Tom Lawlor, Jared St. Laurent, Rich Bocchini It’s time for a special event as MLW offers their take on UFC’s Fight Island. As long as we don’t have to deal with another Fyre Fest joke, I’m all for trying something new, as MLW is getting weaker and weaker every show. The main event is a long awaited showdown between Low Ki and King Mo. Let’s get to it. We get a disclaimer that MLW assumes no liability on the show. Tom Lawlor tells Dominic Garrini that there is a problem with catering, meaning there is no spam. Lawlor sends him down to the port and hands him a bottle of something. Garrini: “You want me to drown him?” Lawlor: “It’s for you.” Garrini stares into the camera. Opening sequence. Commentary welcomes us to the show and runs down the card. The ring, which has no ropes or ring..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – March 28, 2020

If you would like to see the show in full, you can watch it right here for free: Fusion #103 Date: March 28, 2020 Location: 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: AJ Kirsch, Rich Bocchini It’s the final night in Philadelphia and that means things should be hitting a high note this week. The main event features King Mo vs. Low Ki in what should be a rather hard hitting match. Things have been up and down around here lately and with just one TV taping left in the can, they’re running out of time to leave on a good show. Let’s get to it. We look at the setup of last week’s eight man tag, plus the match itself. The big post match brawl included King Mo joining Team Filthy in an important addition. Dan Lambert, Mo’s manger, isn’t worried about a suspension because you’re not getting rid of Mo that easily. Mo will be allowed to wrestle during an appeal and he’ll dominate again. Opening sequence. Brian Pillman Jr. isn’t here for some reason so his interview is postponed. ..
