VIDEO: WWE Star Possibly Injured At Live Event, Helped From Ring

It can happen at any time. Wrestlers can get injured in any match on any night and there is no way to guarantee someone’s safety. That is the kind of thing that you never want to see unfortunately there are some matches that make getting injured even more possible than others. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again, as a wrestler had to be helped to the back after some issues. Kofi Kingston Makes WWE History at NXT Deadline

Another one for the history books. This past Sunday at NXT Deadline, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods captured the NXT tag team championships by defeating Pretty Deadly. While this was a great moment for The New Day, this championship victory was also historic in a number of ways. As a result of their victory, Kingston broke the record for the most tag team championships in WWE history with 15. The previous record was held by Booker T, who had 14 championship reigns. Kofi Kingston has now officially broken the record for most tag-title reigns in @WWE history. WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Surprise Return At WWE Royal Rumble

That’s kind of the point of the match. We are about a month and a half away from the Royal Rumble and that means it is time to start putting together possible names for the match. While there is already one official entrant for the men’s Royal Rumble in Kofi Kingston, there are several spots left to be filled. Now we are seeing some speculation about another potential entrant. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re Good: Shawn Michaels Opens Up On Two NXT Stars Who Have Caught His Eye Last month at Crown Jewel, Logan Paul suffered a knee injury during his match against Roman Reigns. Paul tore his MCL and meniscus, resulting in him having to undergo rehabilitation. During a recent edition of Break Down with Wade Clemons and Faze Sensei, Paul is reportedly trying to wrestle in about six weeks, which would put him in line for the Royal Rumble. There is nothing officially announced and this is still seen as speculation at the moment, as Paul may not be healthy in time for the match. Paul has not..

Top WWE Star Unsure If Randy Orton Is Returning To WWE

That’s a scary thought. Injuries are something that happen to everyone in wrestling at some point. No amount of experience or training can keep a wrestler completely safe and unfortunately the question becomes how long someone is going to be out of action. That is the case with a top WWE star and now the question has become will he ever return to the ring. Now we have another top star’s opinion. Randy Orton has not wrestled since May due to a severe back injury and there has been nothing to suggest that he will be returning to the ring anytime soon. WWE star Kofi Kingston appeared on the 10 Count podcast and said that he does not know if Orton will return to the ring. At the earliest, Orton is not expected to return before the end of the year, if at all. Opinion: That is a horrible statement to hear and hopefully Kingston is wrong and Orton is able to come back. Orton is already in his early 40s and has wrestled a long career, which can wear you down over the years. It would be great..

We open with Scarlett and Karrion Kross having been in a car wreck outside the arena and barely able to walk. The door is slammed on Kross and referees break it up, with McIntyre shouting that this is just the beginning. Opening sequence. Kofi Kingston vs. Sami Zayn Before the match, New Day talks about the Usos challenging their Tag Team Title reign. We cut to the back where Jey Uso isn’t happy with Sami Zayn. The p..

WWE Issues New Rule Over Wrestlers Getting Haircuts

That’s a specific list. Wrestling is a visual medium, as stars are going to need to look a certain way to make fans want to see what they are doing. This can come in a variety of ways and WWE is known for caring about appearance more than a lot of other things. That can create some issues, and now WWE has made a rule about a specific change of appearance for some wrestlers. According to Fightful Select, WWE has issued a list of wrestlers allowed to get haircuts, which has leaked online. This list is wrestlers whose haircuts have been approved in advance, though there is nothing to suggest that wrestlers not listed are not allowed to have their hair cut in general. There are no female wrestlers included on the list. Here is the list of names: RAW: AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Miz, Randy Orton, Riddle, Seth Rollins Smackdown: Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Paul Heyman, ..

Big E Provides Update On His Neck Injury

That’s not great. Big E has taken to Twitter to provide an update on the neck injury that he sustained a couple of months ago. He tweeted out the following: For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be. For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be. — Ettore “Big E” Ewen (@WWEBigE) May 6, 2022 Big E was injured on the March 11, 2022 episode of Smackdown. He, along with Kofi Kingston were in a match with Sheamus and Ridge Holland, when a miscue on a throw from Holland caused E to land on his neck. He had to be stretchered out of the arena and has not been on television since. We will continue to monitor the situa..

WWE Changes Yet Another Superstar’s Name

Who are you again? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and several of them have names that are going to be well known among fans. However, WWE will occasionally make changes to those names, often for reasons that don’t seem clear on the surface. That seems to be the case again, as a wrestler has lost a moniker that he won not so very long ago. WWE has changed King Woods’ name back to his old name of Xavier Woods, as per Woods’ WWE.com profile. The name change comes after Woods returned under the King name last week on SmackDown for his match against Ridge Holland. There is no word on why the name change was made. Woods won the 2021 King of the Ring tournament to earn his new name and turned it into an aspect of his personality, including knighting partner Kofi Kingston. Opinion: This is one of those changes that makes a bit more sense than most. They aren’t changing anything major about Woods but rather dropping the King aspect. That isn’t quite as drastic of a change as P..

WWE Confirms New Grudge Match For WrestleMania 38

One more for the card. With less than a week to go before WrestleMania, it is time for WWE to give us the final push towards the biggest event of the year. That is how things should be going in theory at least, as WWE still seems to have a lot of time to fill in on the card. WWE covered some of that time this week though, as another match has been added to WrestleMania. The WrestleMania Twitter account has announced that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of the New Day will face Ridge Holland and Sheamus on WrestleMania Saturday. This is fallout from Holland injuring Big E. earlier this month on SmackDown, which was followed by a series of singles matches between the team members. This will be Holland’s WrestleMania debut match. Update On Possible WrestleMania Match After Injury Shook Up Plans

You need to have a plan. With less than a week to go before WrestleMania 38, it would be reasonable to think that WWE would have the card finalized. However, that does not seem to be the case, as there are several wrestlers still without a match on the show. WWE still has some time to set things up, but now they might need to change their minds one more time. According to Fightful Select, a planned six man tag at WrestleMania might have been changed or even canceled. The original plan would have seen New Day face Butch/Sheamus/Ridge Holland in a six man tag. However, Big E. suffered a broken neck in a match earlier this month, meaning that plans had to be changed. The current plan would see Sheamus team up with Butch to face Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, though Holland could be substituted for Butch. The match has not been officially announced in any form. Opinion: I would certainly hope that the match still takes place in some form, as it has been set up for several weeks now but ..

WATCH: Injured Wrestler Makes His Return To SmackDown

Welcome back. There are all kinds of injuries that take place in the wrestling world and some of them can be a lot more serious than others. As soon as someone gets hurt, one of the most important questions to ask is how long will they be out of action. You never know how long it might be, but hopefully it isn’t overly serious. One recently injured wrestler made his television return this week after a good while away. This week’s SmackDown saw the return of King Woods, as he defeated Ridge Holland in less than a minute with a small package. Kofi Kingston was originally scheduled to face Holland but brought out Woods as a surprise, though the ring announcer had already mentioned Woods’ name. The match was Woods’ first on television since the January 7 SmackDown due to a calf injury, though he returned to live event matches earlier this month. It was worth the wait. Check out Woods’ return: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: It’s always good to see someone coming bac..

Injured WWE Star Returns To The Ring After Two Month Absence

Welcome back. An injury is something that you rarely see coming in wrestling and that makes it all the worse. Some of them are going to take a wrestler out of action for a long time, which can leave a lot of people wiating for them to get back in the ring. That can take a good while, but now another wrestler has returned to action after a pretty long time off due to an injury. Xavier Woods returned to action this weekend at a WWE live event in Jackson, Mississippi. Woods and Kofi Kingston teamed together in a losing effort in a triple threat match against Ridge Holland/Sheamus and the Usos, who retained their SmackDown Tag Team Titles. This was Woods’ first match since the January 7 SmackDown as he has been out of action with a calf injury. The @WWEUsos bringing the heat against the New Day at #WWEJackson pic.twitter.com/TJaqr8u2hP — Scott Boyes (@Wabigama) March 13, 2022 Opinion: That is great to hear as you never want to see someone out of action with an injury. How Big E.’s Injury Changed WWE’s Plans This Week

They weren’t done yet. A wrestling show can cover a lot of ground in just a few years. That is the kind of thing that makes fans want to pay their money to come and see the event, but sometimes you need a little more than just the main show. If you can watch the same thing from home, there needs to be some incentive to come watch in person. That was the case again this week. This week’s SmackDown featured a dark match both before and after the show went off the air. According to Fightful Select, the pre-show dark match saw Xia Li defeat Shotzi. The post show dark match was originally planned to see Big E. and Kofi Kingston team up with Drew McIntyre to face Sami Zayn, Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss. Due to Big E.’s injury, McIntyre defeated Austin Theory instead. Both McIntyre and Theory appeared on the show but neither had a match. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make for some interesting situations. You don’t know who you might get to see at a show like this and the main ..

WWE Advertised Something You Might Not Have Noticed On SmackDown

They have a plan for that. WWE does a lot of things throughout their television shows and some of them are more than a bit strange to see. It seems that occasionally you will see something come out of nowhere, even if it does not make the most sense. Most of the time there is at least some kind of an explanation though, and that is the case again with a new WWE arrival. This week on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston and Big E. came to the ring on an ATV, which Kingston had given to Big E. as an early birthday present. According to Fightful Select, the two rode the ATV as a way to promote an upcoming Mattel toy which will feature the ATV and at least one of them in some way. There is no word on how long the two will use the ATV as part of their entrance. Opinion: That doesn’t surprise me in the slightest, even if it might not be the most interesting idea. Big E. riding an ATV is hardly some terrible idea, but at least there is something to tie it into later on. I can’t imagine this turns into ..

WWE Has Already Reversed A Rule They Just Made

So much for that. WWE does a lot of different things with its wrestlers from one week to another and some of them are more interesting than others. At times it will seem like WWE has almost no idea what they are doing and that can make for some rather confusing moments. This time around, WWE seems to have already dropped an idea that they might not have used in the first place. Earlier this month, Vince McMahon reportedly ordered that the team of Big E. and Kofi Kingston, who have reunited as a tag team on SmackDown, should not be known as New Day. According to Fightful Select, the edict has been dropped, as the team came to the ring on this week’s SmackDown with New Day graphics and the signature New Day entrance, though the team was still billed as Kingston and Big E. with no New Day name. However, the name may return when Xavier Woods is with the team. There is no word on why McMahon changed his mind on the edict. Opinion: That is about as McMahon as you can get, as the idea was d..

Update On Big E. And Kofi Kingston Reuniting On SmackDown

The new plan. Stables have long since been an important part of the wrestling landscape, as they are such an easy concept. Having a stable allows wrestlers to be put together into a group, which makes it easier to get more people on television than before. There have been several successful stables in WWE history and now one of them seems to be coming back together. It just might not be that simple. Over the last few weeks, Big E. has returned to SmackDown and been reunited with Kofi Kingston. However, according to Fightful Select, this is not considered a New Day reunion. Vince McMahon reportedly decided he wanted Kingston and Big E. back together because he missed the magic they created, but did not want them to be called the New Day again. There is no word on if this will continued when or if Xavier Woods returns to join the team. Opinion: So let me get this straight: McMahon wants New Day but doesn’t want New Day? Am I getting that right? This is one of those things that probably..
