RUMOR: Kevin Dunn Most Likely Done In WWE

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. According to a report from Cageside Seats, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics said on Busted Open Radio that longtime WWE producer Kevin Dunn will most likely be finished with the company. This comes after the announcement that Vince McMahon was retiring and on his way out of WWE. Thurston said that he has heard that Dunn and new Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon “don’t like each other,” while Wade Keller of PWTorch states that Dunn is not a “Triple H guy.” Keller thinks that Dunn will be out “about a year from now.” Dunn has been employed by WWE for almost 40 years and has grown from Associate Producer to Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution. However, he is generally not spoken of very highly by current and former talent, current employees, and wrestling fans in general. We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they are made available. Editor’s Opinion: This doesn’t surprise me, and I think thi..

RUMOR KILLER On Triple H And Stephanie McMahon’s Issues

Not so fast? To say that WWE is in a state of flux backstage would be a huge understatement. There have been all kinds of changes with a lot of people, including those who help run the company. As usual, a lot of those changes involve the McMahons, including Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H. It turns out that those things might not be as bad as they seem. In recent days, rumors have started to appear online suggesting that McMahon and Triple H are separating. This was due to McMahon appearing without her wedding ring and stepping away from her role in WWE. According to Wade Keller on PWTorch VIP Audio, there is no truth to the rumors and the two are not separated. The two have been reducing their hours in WWE due to a combination of the age of their daughters, Triple H’s health and wanting to be at work less often. Earlier this week, McMahon took over as temporary CEO and Chairman of WWE while her father Vince is under investigation for an alleged affair with an employee. O..

WRESTLING RUMORS: What Vince McMahon Thinks Of Cody Rhodes Coming To WWE

It’s a big one. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and mostly in a good way. The company has done rather well with just about everything they have done so far and a lot of that is due to the people who run the regular operations. One of them has since departed though and seems to be on his way elsewhere. Now we know what might be waiting on him. Earlier this week, former AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes announced that he was leaving the company. There has been speculation that Rhodes will be returning to WWE, though no deal has been made as of yet. According to Wade Keller of Pro Wrestling Torch, Vince McMahon is expected to give Rhodes a major push in WWE, likely including a big match at WrestleMania 38, or at least his debut at the show. McMahon is said to be thrilled at the idea of having another company’s founder back in the fold. Rhodes left WWE in 2016 and is a two time Intercontinental and six time Tag Team Champion. Opinion: While I can abso..

AEW’s Tony Khan Offers Interesting Comments On WWE Releases

His opinion matters. The wrestling world has changed since the rise of AEW and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are going to stop anytime soon. The company has offered the wrestling world a new place to go and that is certainly a good thing. Above all else, it means that leaving WWE is not the end of a wrestler’s mainstream career, which seems to be the case again. In a new interview with Wade Keller of Pro Wrestling Torch, AEW President Tony Khan spoke about the recent WWE releases. Khan talked about how sad it was to see so many wrestlers being let go from a company and losing their jobs. He also mentioned that in every wave of WWE releases, there are always a few that he is interested in bringing in to AEW. This is the case again with the latest batch of releases, though Khan did not say who he was interested in. Assuming the released wrestlers do not attempt to get out of their no compete clauses, they will be allowed to appear in AEW in 30 or 90 days, depending on t..

AEW RUMOR: Backstage Fighting Among Company Executives

Honeymoon over? AEW has only been around a little over two years at this point, with Double Or Nothing 2021 marking the two year anniversary of their first event. The promotion has done rather well during their time and they have established themselves as one of the hottest wrestling companies to come along in a very long time. However, not everything is going to work perfectly, and that might be the case again. According to the Pro Wrestling Torch podcast, Wade Keller and Jason Powell mentioned that there have been backstage issues between AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents, including Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks. It is not clear what has been causing the problems. Some of the group is said to not be speaking to each other, though it is not clear what caused the issues or which people have the biggest problems, but that might not even be the biggest issue. Powell also mentioned that an unnamed person whom AEW would want to bring into the company does not seem interested..

The Boss’ Boss. Backstage Details On Sasha Banks’ Character, Including The Person Behind It And The Idea.

Someone is behind this. Earlier this year, the WWE women’s division reached its pinnacle with a women’s match main eventing WrestleMania 35. Just a few years ago, the idea of something like that happening would have been impossible to fathom. The women’s division is still going strong and the return of Sasha Banks has made it better. Banks has a new attitude lately and that is the result of someone working with her on the character. According to Wade Keller’s Post-Raw Show, Banks’ promo from this week’s Monday Night Raw and her character since returning have been heavily influenced by Paul Heyman. Since her return, Heyman has been a major part of Banks’ character and helped shape the entire thing. The story is meant to play off of Banks’ absence and unhappiness with the company over the summer in an effort to mix storyline and reality. She has a reason. Check out Banks’ promo from this week’s Monday Night Raw: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Banks’ promo was not..

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Joe Going Off Script Against Lesnar, Cena Putting Over Styles, Samson’s Botched Guitar Shot, More!

<p>Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane.</p><p>To open today’s show, Lane plays a clip of Dave Meltzer who’s discussing Jason Jordan’s upcoming push. Meltzer says that while having the spotlight on you is good, WWE is a tricky spot to receive a big push because if <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/vince-mcmahon" title="Vince McMahon">Vince McMahon</a></strong> decides you don’t get over during your big push, you have a black mark on you for the rest of your career.</p><p></p><p>Russo says that this can be said about any profession because if you have an opportunity at your workplace and you don’t succeed, you’re going to be taken out of that spot. Meltzer and these other dirt sheet writers mightn’t understand this because they’ve never worked in the real world. He also says that if you don’t want to have the spotlight on you in the biggest promotion in the world, you’re in the wrong business.</p><p>A clip of Wade Keller presents him discussing the <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/brock-lesnar" title="Brock Lesnar">Brock Lesnar</a></strong>/<strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong> angle. Keller says that Joe came off as someone that could kick Lesnar’s ass during the entire program, and we haven’t really seen that before. There were a couple times when Keller thought Joe might get in trouble, specifically when he told Lesnar to ‘look at me when I’m talking to you’, because that wasn’t scripted.</p>

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Charlotte Struggling on Smackdown, Wrestling Needs Gimmicks, Does Enzo Have Heat Backstage? More!

<p>Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane, and they will attempt to ‘castrate the marks and their dirt sheets’.</p><p>Russo points out that this is all in good fun for him, and he doesn’t hate any of these men. Unfortunately, there seems to be some real hatred on the other side of the fence from guys like Wade Keller, Ryan Satin and Mike Johnson. To show his respect to Dave Meltzer, whose father passed away this week, Russo will not be discussing Meltzer’s comments this week.</p><p></p><p>The first clip of the day presents Bryan Alvarez ranting about the fact that WWE broke up Enzo and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/big-cass" title="Big Cass">Big Cass</a></strong>. Alvarez says that there’s no wonder WWE’s ratings are declining when they decided to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/break/" title="break">break</a></strong> up one of the more popular acts on their roster due to their constant search for ‘heat’.</p><p>Russo says that there’s something political going on in the background. He’s heard rumblings of Amore’s backstage issues stemming back to his time in NXT and that probably carried over to the main roster. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/quite/" title="Quite">Quite</a></strong> frankly, Alvarez is right in this case because Enzo and Cass were over, and the fans loved them. However, Russo’s smart enough to understand that heat draws money, and since Cass turned on Enzo the fans have been chanting Enzo’s name with more passion than ever before.</p>

Steve Austin Says WWE Killed Lana’s Gimmick

<p>Steve Austin was vocal on a recent installment of his podcast regarding WWE booking <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/naomi" title="Naomi">Naomi</a></strong> to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/lana" title="Lana">Lana</a></strong> at the Money in the Bank event. He made the following remarks:</p><p><em>“Naomi deserves better, the title deserves better. Lana wasn’t up for this task at hand, at this point in her career. I thought she had much more mystique as the valet, whatever the term is, with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/rusev" title="Rusev">Rusev</a></strong>. Man, they kind of killed her gimmick off, and reinvented her, and I just liked her the way she was. So, if she wants to be in the ring, that’s more power to her, but a lot of the stuff I got on Twitter was, ‘Hey man. For a first match, she did a lot better than I expected.’ Ok. As I say that, good for her. But as a company who’s striving for excellence in sports entertainment/professional wrestling, the best of the best belong on a pay-per-view.”</em></p><p>You can listen to the podcast <a href="https://www.podcastone.com/episode/WadeKeller-MoneyInTheBank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – RAW Analysis, Jobbers in Bear Suits, Cass & Enzo Split, More!

<p>Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Rue from ‘Rue TV’.</p><p>Russo opens today’s show by informing that <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/bruce/" title="Bruce">Bruce</a></strong> Prichard has denied his invitation to appear on this show. He now lumps Prichard in the same category as Jim Cornette and Eric Bischoff, of people who love to talk crap behind his back but refuse to discuss it with him in person.</p><p>Rue asks Russo about his connection to Bruce Prichard’s arrival in TNA years ago. Russo says he doesn’t like to talk about this much, but he played an instrumental part in bringing Prichard into TNA. Prichard was released from WWE because he and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/stephanie-mcmahon" title="Stephanie McMahon">Stephanie McMahon</a></strong> didn’t see eye to eye, but Prichard had two small children and his wife was sick at the time, so Russo went to work and found a position for him in TNA.</p><p></p><p>Russo informs that Wade Keller appears to be getting his own podcast on PodcastOne in the near future, and someone has already reached out to him about being a guest on that show. Russo said he’d absolutely appear on that show as a guest because he has no issue debating their opposing wrestling philosophies, even though they’ve had their differences in the past. Russo is interested to see whether Keller actually agrees to have him on as a guest.</p>

Triple H Frustrated With Vince McMahon

<p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/triple-h" title="Triple H">Triple H</a></strong> is reportedly frustrated with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/vince-mcmahon" title="Vince McMahon">Vince McMahon</a></strong> and the recent booking of NXT Superstars on the main roster.</p><p>According to Wade Keller of <a href="http://www.pwtorch.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Pro Wrestling Torch</a>, Triple H hasn’t been very impressed with how Vince McMahon has used some of the NXT call-ups. Keller claims that Triple H is frustrated because he feels that his hard work is being wasted once a Superstar from NXT is called up to work the main roster.</p>
