Reserved For Him: Here’s How WWE Treated John Cena Very Differently During His Return

He has earned it. There have been a lot of wrestlers over the years and many of them do not stand out for the most part. It takes someone special to receive additionally positive treatment but in most cases, they have earned the status. That was the case last week when an all time great made a return, and now we know just how differently he was treated upon return. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Even Them? How WWE Is Going Incredibly Far To Protect Uncle Howdy’s Secret The main event of last week’s SmackDown saw John Cena return for his first match of the year, teaming with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s booking of Cena was “very carefully done” This included keeping Cena out of the ring for most of the match, as he had not wrestled in over a year, and making sure that he looked strong and hit the Attitude Adjustment. There is no word on when Cena is expected back in the ring, but WWE has been working on WrestleMania pl..

John Cena Returning To WWE For Final Smackdown Of 2022

The champ is back! According to a report from Variety, John Cena will be making his return to WWE on the final Smackdown of 2022. He will be appearing on the December 30 show, which will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. From the report: This will mark Cena’s second appearance in WWE in 2022, as he previously returned to the sports entertainment giant in June during an episode of “Monday Night Raw” to celebrate his 20 year anniversary with the company. He did not wrestle a match during that appearance, but rather spoke in the ring about his time with WWE while also appearing in backstage segments. In terms of working in the ring, Cena most recently embarked on the “Summer of Cena” tour in 2021, which culminated in a celebrated match against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the annual “SummerSlam” pay-per-view in August 2021. Cena has had a busy few years in his acting career, most notably starring in the title role of the DC series “Peacemaker” at HBO Max in 2..

Monday Night Raw Results – June 27, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: June 27, 2022 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s a very special night as John Cena is here to celebrate twenty years (to the day) of his WWE debut. That should be enough to carry the night and that might need to be the case. This is also the go home edition of Raw for Money In The Bank, meaning it’s time to build momentum, establish dominance, and maybe even come up with an original tagline for what the participants are doing. Let’s get to it. Earlier today, John Cena returned to quite the hero’s welcome, meeting a bunch of applauding wrestlers and backstage workers. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Battle Royal T-Bar, Mustafa Ali, Shanky, Akira Tozawa, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal, Riddle, Miz, AJ Styles, Ciampa, Reggie, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Veer Mahaan Tozawa is tossed out fast and Mahaan clotheslines Benjamin out. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Using Old Crowd Footage For Unrelated Matches

They really need that? WWE has been around for a very long time now and has put on more events and shows than anyone could reasonably count over the years. That means there have been all kinds of moments throughout the years, some of which are all time classics. WWE loves to look back on its own history, and that is what they are doing again, but with a not that normal twist. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is using old footage for their modern video packages. This includes using footage from John Cena returning as the Dr. of Thuganomics in 2012 as part of a package on Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin from WrestleMania Backlash, and footage from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show as part of a Stephanie McMahon segment on WWE Evil. There is no word on how many more times WWE has done something like this. During the Madcap Moss/Corbin video recap, WWE used crowd shots from 2012 from John Cena’s return as the Dr. of Thuganomics. They have been doing more of this lately. pic.twitter.com/Vg2v..

WRESTLING RUMORS: John Cena Returning To WWE TV

I think he would be welcomed back. There are a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history but very few of them are close to the level of John Cena. After being on top of the company for such a long time, Cena has become one of the biggest legends in WWE history. Cena is the top star of the most recent generation but has since moved on to Hollywood for the most part. He will still come back every now and then though, and that might be the case again. According to Brad Shepherd’s Unleashed Patreon, Cena is expected to return to WWE television at some point in late June. There is no word on what he will be doing or which show he will be appearing on. Cena last appeared on WWE television in August 2021 when he lost in the main event of Summerslam against Roman Reigns. It is not clear if Cena will be wrestling or how long he will be back. Opinion: This could certainly be a big deal for WWE, as Cena is as big of a star as they have who might appear on more than one or two shows. Cena is som..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – July 23, 2021

Smackdown Date: July 23, 2021 Location: Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio/Rolling Loud Festival, Miami, Florida Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole We’re into the second week of having fans back and this time the big story is John Cena returning to Smackdown to see Roman Reigns. You can see Summerslam from here but we still need to make it official. Other than that, Carmella is getting another shot at Bianca Belair for no particular reason. Let’s get to it. We start fast this week with John Cena starting us off in a hurry. He talks about how hyped up the fans are here and knows that Roman Reigns is coming. There is some sports news coming out of Cleveland today, which is why he has changed his middle name to Guardians (as did Cleveland’s baseball team). He has to protect the little respect that WWE has left because Roman Reigns is terrible as Universal Champion. We’re back live and that means we are on the way to Summerslam, which is a place for the fans to show what the..

Kurt Angle Teases Coming Out Of Retirement

One more time? Wrestling is a unique sport in that retirements do not exactly carry the most weight. There have been countless instances of a wrestler hanging up their boots and then coming back later on for either one more match or even one more run. That is not the worst problem to have, but it is rarely a special feeling. Now another legend is teasing trying it again. Kurt Angle has sent out a tweet saying that the rumors of John Cena returning to WWE have him thinking about his own retirement. Included is a clip saying “so you’re telling me there’s a chance”. Angle, 52, wrestled his retirement match at WrestleMania 35 in a loss to Baron Corbin. Should he return, it is not clear where he would wrestle, after being released from WWE last year. Angle debuted for WWE in 1999 and worked for the company until 2006, when he requested his release and left for TNA Wrestling. Following a ten year run with the promotion, Angle returned to WWE, where he stayed for three more years, including..

John Cena Returning To WWE Programming As Narrator Of New Series

This could be interesting. There have been all kinds of wrestlers going in and out of WWE over the course of the company’s history. With so many wrestlers over the years, there are only going to be a handful of wrestlers who are going to get the highest level of attention. There are some great villains who do not get the attention that they deserve, but now they are going to receive it from a slightly surprising source. According to Deadline.com, NBCUniversal has ordered a new series from WWE called WWE Evil, which will air on Peacock. John Cena is credited as a show runner and executive producer and will also serve as a narrator. The series will be a look into the psychological breakdown of various famous villains in the company’s history. There is no word on when the series will air. This comes after Cena teased a new project with WWE but nothing was announced. Cena will have a lot to pick from. Check out some of the best villains in WWE history, including Cena’s time as a villain:..

WWE SmackDown Live Results – July 11 2017

Welcome to SmackDown Live for the 11th of July 2017!

The blue-brand got quite the shake-up this past week, when AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens at a live event in Madison Square Garden to become the United States Champion. Title changes rarely occur at live events and with the two set to square-off at Battleground, it seemed surprising that AJ would win the belt a few weeks prior. Rumour has it that KO might be injured and unable to defend his title at Battleground, which is why the change occured sooner. So it’s unclear if AJ will face a new opponent at the PPV, or if Owens will get a rematch. Owens is scheduled to wrestle tonight, so it’s hard to imagine his injury is severe.

John Cena returned to SmackDown Live last week with a heart of fire and is now set to duel with Rusev at Battleground in a Flag Match. This seems like it will be a one-off feud between the two patriots, as opposed to a rebirth of their former rivalry. The main event for tonight’s show is said to be a tag team match that puts Cena and AJ together against Rusev and Owens.

Elsewhere on SmackDown, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal will be in action against Tye Dillinger, who made a strong showing in last week’s Battle Royal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Randy Orton appear tonight and possibly help Dillinger to a win to keep his momentum. Baron Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura are also scheduled to face off tonight, ahead of a probable showdown between them at Battleground. Tonight’s show will also feature The New Day, Naomi, The Uso’s, and more.

Get talking on the Ringside News and Ringside Talk apps, which you can get for free on your app store!
