That was the case back at the Royal Rumble and now it seems that one of the returning superstars might be bringing someone with her. This is a problem as McMahon is the company’s largest shareholder and would be the largest financial beneficiary in the event of a sale, which is why he is involved in the process. The 2023 Royal Rumble Event Was “Easy” Without Vince McMahon

It’s a new way to go. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the 2023 Royal Rumble event was said to have been the “easiest” that it’s has been in a long time, with regard to putting the show together. This is due to the lack of creative involvement from Vince McMahon. This year’s Royal Rumble was the first under Triple H and the report states that there was a good feeling about the show in the end, including the morale among talent. Furthermore, it was said that from a day-to-day and weekly basis, the atmosphere is much more laid back. One of the only reminders of Vince’s influence remains the “Vince’s office” directional sign that hasn’t been changed since he left but points to a section of the backstage area that is completely different. Vince has been notorious for changing things at the last minute and creating a sense of chaos and unease right before a show goes on the air. It’s that time of year again as we are beginning the Road To Wrestlemania. That means we are going to be seeing some of the biggest shows of the year and things are about to get a lot more exciting. WWE has done a nice job setting up the Royal Rumble matches this year as there are a lot of open spots remaining, though the men’s match is more or less a two horse race. Let’s get to it. Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight Let’s get the goofy out of the way first. This is the Pitch Black match, which is a product placement match from Mountain Dew. WWE still hasn’t exactly explained what it’s going to be, but knowing Wyatt’s involvement, things are going to get more than a little strange. By strange I mean ridiculous, but it’s a new Wyatt so I’m trying to hold on to false hope for as long as I can. Delaware State Police Issue Full Statement And Details On Jay Briscoe Accident

The more we know. Tuesday night, Ring Of Honor Hall Of Famer and reigning Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe was killed in a car crash in his home state of Delaware. The crash rocked the wrestling world and now all that can be done is grieve and hope that everyone else involved pulls through. Now we know a little bit more about what happened and it is not good. Briscoe’s death was caused by a car crash when a truck went into the wrong land and hit Briscoe’s truck head on. The other driver, Lillyanne Ternahan, 27, was killed as well. This year, the show will feature a pair of WarGames matches, marking the first time that the match has come to a main roster WWE event. The matches need lineups, and now a star is teasing some major involvement in one of the matches. Last week’s SmackDown saw Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, Solo Sikoa and Ricochet compete in a match for the #1 contendership to the Intercontinental Title. John Laurinaitis Has Been Fired From WWE

It had been previously reported that John Laurinaitis had been placed on administrative leave following his involvement with the scandal that led to Vince McMahon retiring from WWE. According to a report from PWInsider, the company has now officially terminated Laurinaitis. According to the report, the decision to fire Laurinaitis was kept very quiet beyond a very small circle, and the termination happened within the last week. WWE has not publicly announced the dismissal as of this notice. McMahon is currently being investigated for an alleged $3 million payment to a WWE employee due to a sexual relationship between the two. The investigation also includes a variety of other possible claims of misconduct against McMahon and Laurinaitis. McMahon is said to have used his own personal money to make the payments. That is the kind of thing that can make for some fascinating looks back and in recent years, a good many more of those looks have taken place. Now we seem ready to see even more, as some fresh wrestling documentaries are in the works. According to Fightful Select, the Reelz movie channel is planning to release several new wrestling documentaries this summer. Names that are confirmed for such documentaries are Roddy Piper, Steve Austin and Chyna, though it is not clear if the living people or their families will be involved. These are not part of the A&E documentary series and are not expected to have involvement from WWE.
