He’s on their radar. The introduction of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. Following decades of WWE dominating the industry, a new major promotion is now offering wrestlers another place to go. That can lead to some battles to land talent, and now we might be seeing that again with a very talented star who has recently appeared on AEW television. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Kingly: Great News On Jerry Lawler’s Health Following Stroke Earlier this month, AEW presented its annual Face of the Revolution ladder match, which included AAA star Komander. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE contacted Komander both before and after he took part in the match. While WWE did not offer him a contract, they wanted to bring him in for a meeting. There is no word on if the meeting took place or if AEW is interested in signing him. What could have been. We are in a different time in WWE as there are several things taking place that would have seemed more than a bit strange in years past. This includes the introduction of some new concepts, or at least concepts that have not been used in WWE before. We will be seeing another of those later this month, but now WWE seems likely to be changing plans. On Saturday November 26, WWE will present Survivor Series, which will include a pair of WarGames matches, the first ever on the main roster. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that WWE may have to make a change to both matches due to injury. This includes Kevin Owens, who is out of action with a knee injury, and possibly Candice LeRae, who was penciled in for a spot in the match but has not appeared on WWE TV in recent weeks. That’s another name. One of the biggest stories of WWE has been the career trajectory of Sasha Banks. Back in May, Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE, forfeiting the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the first place. In recent months, there has been talk of Banks returning to the company. In the mean time though, she has been staying with her training and now we can see her doing so. A video has been posted to Twitter showing Banks training with former WWE and WCW star Juventud Guerrera. The video seems to have been filmed recently and shows Banks headscissoring Guerrera. There is no word on when or if Banks will be returning to WWE, though she and Naomi were recently returned to the WWE television signature introduction video. She still has it. It’s quite the introduction. Celebrities have a strange history when it comes to wrestling. There have always been famous people coming inside the wrestling bubble and at times, it can draw in an extra audience. That is a tricky balance to find though, as you do not want a celebrity with a small following taking up too much time. WWE has tried to find that balance, and now they may have again with a famous star. He just might not be famous to everyone. Triple H appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and revealed that he had never heard of Paul when approached about Paul appearing for WWE. In addition to people in WWE telling Triple H who Paul was, his children also talked about Paul, which helped show Triple H just how big of a star Paul is. They might have a plan. There have been some very talented wrestlers coming through AEW throughout its history and that has been a major source of its success. The company has thrived due to the wrestlers that it has, with some of its biggest stars being among the best names in the world. Now one of those names that has been gone for a long time now might be on his way back. Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has not wrestled since November November 13, 2021 when he lost the World Title to Hangman Page. Omega has since undergone a series of surgeries to deal with a variety of injuries. According to Fightful Select, Omega is near a return to the ring, likely for a six man tag team story at All Out in September. It is not clear if this will involve the introduction of the long rumored Trios Titles. Put something on the line. There are all kinds of titles in wrestling and some of them are rather prestigious. Fans have seen and heard of these titles for decades and some of them have been held by some of the biggest names in wrestling history. Every title has to come from somewhere though, and now another one is coming into existence, with a bit of a unique twist. The All Atlantic Title was announced this week on AEW Dynamite. The title represents the countries where AEW television airs, with a tournament to crown the inaugural champion consisting of international stars being announced. Welcome aboard? AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works in a lot of way and that is a good thing. One of the biggest changes has been the introduction of a new place for wrestlers to perform on a big stage, as WWE has dominated the landscape for so long. Now there is a new promotion to work in, and a former WWE star seems ready to come in to AEW. This week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman made a phone call to someone he referred to as “big man”, offering him month to fight Wardlow. Friedman did not mention anyone by name but said that this man was taller than Wardlow before saying “and you can’t teach that”. That is the catchphrase used to describe W. Morrissey, formerly known as Big Cass in WWE, who is currently in Impact Wrestling. Morrissey has never appeared in AEW and assuming he does come in, there is no word on how long he will be appearing for with the company. It’s his thing. AEW has done a lot of great things for the wrestling world and one of the best has been the introduction of new stars. The company has allowed some stars to get their first shot on a national stage and that has opened several eyes. Some wrestlers have done better than others with their chance and now one of them is getting to do his thing completely outside of the ring. AEW’s Darby Allin has released a video on Twitter showing him putting another man through a table at a Ludacris concert earlier this week. Allin attacked the other man and then splashed him onto a table, though he needed to do it twice to make the table break. Allin is currently scheduled to face Andrade El Idolo in a coffin match on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. He really doesn’t like that table.
