Since then, the internet continues to speculate on who the best opponent would be for The Texas Rattlesnake with WrestleMania 39 returning to Hollywood. Naturally, there are a handful of dream matches that would help sell out SoFi Stadium this April. The few names that have emerged from the rumor mill thus far include John Cena, The Rock and CM Punk. While they each have their own unique intrigue for the grandest stage of them all, The Nature Boy is ruling out a few of these big names himself. That Could Mean Something: WWE Star Posts Cryptic Message After Rare Appearance

That could mean so much. The internet has changed the wrestling world in a lot of ways, with wrestlers being able to benefit from its presences in a lot of ways. One of the most important is by allowing wrestlers to be able to get their face and words out there a lot more often than they are on television. Now one of them has made a post that is more than a little curious. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One More Time: How A Possible CM Punk WWE Return Is Being Received Backstage This week on Monday Night Raw, Akira Tozawa appeared in a backstage segment where he beat Baron Corbin and John Bradshaw Layfield in a poker game. Later in the night, Tozawa lost to Corbin in a match, which was Tozawa’s first match on Monday Night Raw since the June 27 episode. Malakai Black Issues Statement Regarding Mental Health, AEW Release

He has spoken. Malakai Black took to social media recently and issued a statement regarding his status with AEW, mental health issues, and more. This comes after reports surfaced that he requested and was granted his release from the company. The statement reads as follows: All. Firstly thank you all for your messages, know they are being read and appreciated. With all the turmoil going on in the landscape of Professional Wrestling I took the time to think of my words but also needed to wait until conversations between mine and AEW’s camp had come to a conclusion. Firstly, I dislike reading parts of my private conversations between myself and AEW in regards to my mental well being on the internet. These conversations were private and not meant to be shared with the public. As by now most people realize I am a very private person and do not feel the need to have stuff like this out on the internet. If you’ve been following me longer than a cup of coffee you’re aware I’ve spoken abou..

A New Kind: AEW May Be Planning A New Show With A Very Specific Theme

It’s a different audience. AEW has come a very long way in less than three and a half years and a lot of that is due to the variety that you are going to see on any one of their shows. The company has figured out how to put together a bunch of different pieces to make events more enjoyable. This often means not focusing on just one thing, but that might be changing in the future. According to PWInsider.com, AEW has trademarked the term “All Elite Women” for a variety of uses, including streaming pay per view events over the internet. While not confirmed, this could mean that AEW is planning for either some kind of a show focused on women or featuring women. There is no word on what the specific show would be or when AEW might make an announcement about it. Opinion: This is an interesting one as AEW has long since focused on their women’s division. It would not surprise me to see the division get its own stand alone show, or perhaps some kind of a YouTube streaming show. Replacing eit..

Netflix Reportedly Debuting Wrestling Series, Could Open Door For Major Streaming Deal

Add it to the list. The rise of the internet and streaming services have changed the way wrestling works. Fans are now able to see all of the content that they want with almost no limitations, as wrestling from around the world is now open before them. This includes even smaller territories, but now one of them might be leading to a much bigger broadcasting deal down the road. According to Fightful Select, a previously rumored deal between Netflix and Ohio Valley Wrestling would include a special behind the scenes show. The deal also includes the rights of first refusal for Ohio Valley Wrestling’s televisions rights. Should Netflix get into the live streaming business, they could be a potential bidder for the rights to WWE or AEW programming. WWE’s deals with USA and FOX and AEW’s deal with WarnerMedia all expire in 2024. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could be a game changer for the industry. I don’t know if Ohio Valley Wrestling is going to set the streaming world on fire,..

New Vignette Airs During Money in the Bank 2022

Who could it be? Last night, at the Money in the Bank 2022 pay-per-view, a brand new vignette aired featuring a number of strange symbols. Included were creepy music, a cross, candles, and others. You can see the vignette below: [This post contains video, click to play] Editor’s Opinion: Usually, I don’t write opinions this long, but when all you have to work with is the vignette, all that’s left to do is start giving opinions and try to break down what it might mean. My initial thought was that it was the return of bray Wyatt, as these types of things were what he specialized in. However, the common theory going around the Internet right now is that it is the return of edge. There were gold medals, a cross, armbands, and glasses with tape in the middle; all throwbacks to some of his previous feuds with legends over the years. The current theory is that it could be the return of his Brood character, as he comes back to face Judgment Day, who turned on him a few weeks ago. As alwa..

Not So Fast: Wrestling Legend Refutes Reports About Health Problems

That’s an improvement. There are very few things sadder in wrestling, or anything really, for hearing about someone dealing with serious health issues. It happens with a lot of people, but sometimes you get a break and find out that things are not as bad as they seem. That might be the case again, as a wrestling legend is refuting reports about his health status. Earlier this week, Jim Ross mentioned that AEW’s Jake Roberts was dealing with serious health issues involving his breathing, which was keeping him off of AEW television. However, Roberts has responded to the story on Twitter, saying that it is untrue and he will be around for a long time. Ross has not responded to Roberts’ statement. Roberts has been serving as Lance Archer’s manager in AEW. Hey guys once again someone wants to make a splash on the internet and what better way is there than putting out Jake Roberts is in bad health. Totally untrue. I’m going to be around a long time. — JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) May 12, ..

Not So Fast? A Wrestling Injury Turns Out To Be Completely Fake

That’s better, I think? Injuries are one of the few constants in wrestling, but they can also be used as a storyline. Be it in a match or an angle of some kind, a wrestler can fake an injury to advance whatever else they are doing. That can open up some doors for some interesting stories, and now that seems to be the case again, as a star has played off of her own bad luck. At Sacrifice earlier this month, Impact Wrestling’s Chelsea Green seemed to injure her arm in a match against Deonna Purrazzo. Green’s arm was placed in a cast though she managed to wrestle the following week on television. However, this week Green posted a tweet announcing that the injury was not real and that she had faked the injury to fool “all the marks” and prove that “the internet is f****** useless.” UPDATED DIRT SHEET REPORT: Chelsea Green shocks the world. Fools all the marks into thinking she broke her arm. Proves the internet is fucking useless. — CHELSEA GREEN (@ImChelseaGreen) March 19, 2022 Opinio..

The Beast doesn’t find it funny. Last night, at a dinner in St. Louis, Brock Lesnar had an encounter with ‘Jackass’ star Wee-Man and body-slammed him through a table. The video has made its way to the Internet, including on TMZ Sports. You can see one example of the video below: Brock Lesnar hanging out with The Jackass crew before Royal Rumble 2022 pic.twitter.com/CJ7lkYmyQk — WWE Hindi Daily (@tmykwoah) January 29, 2022 This appears to be a fun event and encounter, with no malicious intent involved. The dinner took place in St. Louis, which is the site of the 2022 Royal Rumble. Lesnar is scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley, while ‘Jackass Forever’ star Johnny Knoxville is scheduled to be an entrant into the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Editor’s Opinion: I love stuff like this. Over the past few months, we have seen a different side of The Beast, as his more comical and laid-back side has started to be a part of his character. He Has Their Attention: WWE, FOX And NBC All Interested In MJF

He has their attention. There are a lot of talented wrestlers in the world today and one of the best upgrades is the fact that we can now see more great wrestling than ever before. Through the internet and more television than anyone could reasonably watch, a wrestling fan can see all kinds of incredible wrestling talent. Now it seems that one of them has caught some very important eyes. According to Andrew Zarian of F4WOnline.com, FOX, USA and WWE are all interested in AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whose AEW contract expires in 2024. Friedman has mentioned his contract expiring and that AEW will have to pay him well to get him to sign again. His feud with CM Punk is said to have drawn interest to wrestling that has not been present in a very long time. There is no word on where Friedman is interested in signing at the moment. That’s what they’re made for. Records and statistics can be fascinating in wrestling, as there is end to how deep you can go. You will hear all kinds of stats and numbers and some of the things that you will find can be very interesting. That can make for some great moments and the discoveries of some incredible talents, but now one of the more promising ones will not be around for the time being. This would include everything that AEW has ever presented from Dynamites to pay per views to specials, plus the never before seen The House Always Wins event. There is no word on which service AEW could debut on or when this might take place. There is some great material in there. WWE Announces Celebrity Guest For Monday Night Raw

There’s always room for more. Celebrities have been a part of the wrestling world for a long time now and that is always going to be the case. Bringing in someone who is a known name outside of the wrestling world is going to get some extra attention on the wrestling show, at least in theory, and that is what WWE is betting on for next week’s Monday Night Raw. This week on SmackDown, WWE announced that internet celebrity, podcaster and boxer Logan Paul will be appearing on next week’s Monday Night Raw as the guest on MoistTV. Paul has a history with WWE, as he has made an appearance on SmackDown and at this year’s WrestleMania 37 during a match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Owens gave Paul a Stunner after the match. This could be good. Check out what Paul has done in WWE and what he is getting into: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Paul is a good example of someone who mi..

Back where she belongs. While WWE is the most high profile wrestling promotion in the world, they are not the only one around. The advent of the internet and streaming technology has made it a lot easier to see far more wrestling than at any point before, which has allowed more promotions to become a bit more prominent.
