WATCH: Rey Mysterio Wrestles On Late Late Show

It’s a Hall Of Fame thing. Wrestling has a history of working with celebrities and it has been a mixed bag over the years. There are several celebrities who are there for the sake of promoting their latest project and nothing more, while there are occasionally celebrities there for their love of wrestling (among other things). The latter was the case this week and a WWE legend got involved as a result. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Tag Team Splits On NXT In Mid-Match Betrayal Bad Bunny, who has worked with WWE multiple times in the past and is set to host this year’s Backlash, was a guest on the Late Late Show this week. During the interview, wrestling was brought up, resulting in Bunny bringing out Rey Mysterio. Host James Corden then faced Mysterio in a match, where he was quickly defeated. Mysterio is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame later this month. Kind of one sided. Check out the match (the wrestling portion begins at around 11:00), plus Bunny and Mysterio in WWE:..

BREAKING: WWE Announces Newest Inductee Into Hall Of Fame

He’s a big one. While there are all kinds of accomplishments and milestones to be achieved in WWE, there are very few that stand the test of time. Almost any title that is won is eventually going to be lost, which creates a problem for remembering some wrestlers more than others. There is one honor that sticks around forever though and now another star is receiving the special recognition. Of Course: 60 Year Old WWE Legend Inducts Himself Into Hall Of Fame, Accuses Miz Of Theft

It’s part of his thing. There are certain wrestlers who become popular with the fans for one reason or another, but in some cases their popularity rises after they hang up their boots. It can be rather interesting to see what a wrestler comes up once their career is over. This is certainly true with a former WWE star, who now thinks that his gimmick has been stolen by someone who came along later. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: WWE Possibly NXT Women’s Title, New Champion To Be Crowned Former WWE star Virgil has taken to Instagram, announcing that he has been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. He thanked his favorite opponents in the business, including names such as Andre the Giant, Randy Savage and Bret Hart, along with the “million dollar dandy El Dandy”. Finally, Virgil thanked Damage CTRL for allowing him to be their hero and accused the Miz of stealing his gimmick. There is nothing to suggest that WWE has inducted Virgil into the Hall Of Fame. LOOK: 61 Year Old WWE Hall Of Famer Undergoes Major Surgery

That should help. Wrestlers work very hard in the ring to entertain the fans and put in quite a bit of physical efforts. He May Have A Point: Wrestling Legend Claims He Belongs In The WWE Hall Of Fame

He has a point. There are very few honors that last forever in wrestling. While winning a championship can mean a lot to a wrestler, at some point they are probably going to lose it back. However, there is one honor that is never taken away: being inducted into a Hall of Fame. Some of the greatest of all time are inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and now another famous name thinks he should be in as well. VIDEO: WWE Hall Of Famer Undergoes Major Double Surgery

That’s a big one. There are some legends of the wrestling world but some of them are among the biggest of all time. It takes someone special to get to that level but you know someone who reaches such a point. Those names are some of the greatest stars wrestling has ever seen and now one of them will be feeling a lot better after some serious medical issues have been solved. WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has revealed that he has undergone double knee replacement surgery and is ready to begin his rehabilitation process. Angle posted a video on his Twitter announcing the surgery and thanking fans for their thoughts and prayers. Angle retired from the ring in 2019 after working for WWE and Impact Wrestling, being inducted into both of their Halls of Fame. That could be worse. Check out Angle post surgery: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That is something hard to go through but at the end of the day, it is going to be worth it for Angle. WRESTLING RUMORS: The Undertaker May Be Getting His Own Podcast

I’ll believe it when I hear it. Wrestlers have a tricky set of rules to follow in their profession. While their job is to have a safe yet also entertaining match, they are also tasked with keeping fans believing that what they are seeing is real. That is a lot harder than it sounds and some wrestlers are better at it than others. Now one of the best ever might be dropping every bit of kayfabe altogether. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, the Undertaker will be debuting his own podcast. WWE and Peacock have talked Undertaker into airing his own podcast in the vein of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions with the show debuting in the next few months. Undertaker officially retired from the ring at Survivor Series 2020 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. In a show similar to that of Broken Skull Sessions, Peacock & WWE have convinced The Undertaker to enter the podcasting world. Source states his new show should begin airing within the next few months. A fa..

Undertaker Teases Wrestling Again In Hall Of Fame Speech

Never say never. Wrestling is not like other sports when it comes to retirements. While mainstream athletes walk away for the sake of not having to endure another season, a wrestler is able to jump back in and get right to it without having to wait for a year’s worth of matches. That opens a lot of doors, and another one might have been left open just a bit by a certain legend. The Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night. During his induction speech, Undertaker teased the idea of wrestling again by saying “never say never” after hanging up his hat and coat. Undertaker officially announced his retirement from the ring at Survivor Series 2020, marking thirty years since his WWE debut. His last match came against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this, as almost no one actually stays retired after saying they’re going to retire. It just isn’t in a wrestler’s nature, and it would be plausible to see Undertaker pop in for a quick..

Uh…..About That: NIkki Bella Is Looking Forward To Vader’s WWE Hall Of Fame Speech

Oh dear. This weekend, WWE will induct the latest class into the company’s Hall of Fame. That is one of the more nights of the year as WWE gets to honor their legends and allows them to speak about their careers. The audience is a who’s who of WWE wrestlers, but there are going to be some generation gaps here and there. It seems that is the case again between two Hall of Famers. In a since deleted video from the Bella Twins YouTube channel, Nikki Bella said she was looking forward to Vader taking the stage and giving his WWE Hall of Fame induction speech. However, Vader passed away in 2018 and is being inducted posthumously. There is no word on who will be accepting the induction on Vader’s behalf. The Bella Twins were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020. Opinion: While I don’t think Bella meant anything malicious by what she said, this doesn’t exactly make for the best visual. At the end of the day, Vader passing away is something that she probably should..

WWE Hall Of Famer Returning To The Ring Again Soon

Welcome back? Wrestling is a unique sport when it comes to retirement. A wrestler can get out of the ring but then jump back in for a one off return, which isn’t something you get to see in more mainstream sports. It can be a lot of fun to see someone return to the ring after so long away, and that is going to be the case again later this year with a certain WWE Hall of Famer. Jeff Jarrett was recently interviewer by Muscle Man Malcolm and revealed that he plans to wrestle again at some point this year. Jarrett did not say when or where he would be getting back in the ring. He has only wrestled once in nearly three years, defeating Effy at Game Changer Wrestling’s The Wrld On GCW back in January. Jarrett was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016 and has made occasional appearances for the company since. Opinion: Jarrett is in a unique place as he can still go in the ring and is enough of a legend to get to pick his spots. At the same time, he is also on a level that allows him t..

Legendary Tag Team Announced For WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2022

Welcome to the team. We are less than a week away from WrestleMania 38 and that means that we are going to be seeing a lot of annual events taking place. That can make for some very fun moments, including some things that do not even happen to be in the ring. One of these involves honoring the past, and now we know another pair of names that will be honored this weekend. WWE has announced that the Steiner Brothers will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Rick and Scott Steiner are two time WWE Tag Team Champions, seven time WCW/NWA World Tag Team Champions, along with holding several titles in other promotions. The induction marks a change, as Scott has long since not been interested in working for the company. The induction ceremony will take place Friday April 1 after SmackDown. Opinion: Based on their abilities and successes in the ring, there is no reason whatsoever for the Steiners not to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. They are one of the most iconic, successful and t..

Update On Batista’s WWE Hall Of Fame Status

It’s a delayed honor. There are very few honors in the WWE world as important as an induction into the company’s Hall of Fame. While there have been a lot of different names inducted over the year, there are very few major names in the company’s history that are not inducted. The induction ceremony can be quite the moment, and now we might have an idea when an overdue entry will take place. Former WWE star Batista was announced as part of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2020. However, the induction ceremony was postponed until 2021 due the Coronavirus pandemic. Batista was unable to attend the ceremony due to a scheduling conflict. WWE removed him from the class as per his request, leaving him to be inducted later. According to PWInsider.com, Batista will be in attendance in Dallas this year for Undertaker’s induction but is not expected to be inducted until 2023 in Los Angeles over WrestleMania 39 weekend. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes sense and I could see WWE’s logic..

WWE Announces Surprising New Name For Hall Of Fame Class Of 2022

Welcome to the club. There are very few career honors for wrestlers, as the main prizes to be won are eventually lost to someone else. That does not leave many options available for career honors, though the WWE Hall of Fame is one of them. The WWE Hall of Fame has seen quite a few top level inductees and now another name has officially been announced to join its ranks. WWE has announced that Sharmell will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2022. Over the course of her career, Sharmell primarily served as Booker T.’s manager and was billed as Queen Sharmell during Booker’s time as King Booker. Sharmell joins the Undertaker and Vader as the three names announced for the class so far, with more likely to be added. The induction ceremony will take place on April 1 after SmackDown. Opinion: Above all else, this makes me miss managers. You can make various criticisms about Sharmell’s career, but she was perfect in her role as King Booker’s manager and did exactly wh..

WWE Having Problems Inducting Legendary Team Into Hall Of Fame

They have some names in mind. The WWE Hall of Fame is an interesting situation, as it doesn’t exactly have a clear criteria for entry. Some wrestlers being inducted are a bit obvious while others might be a surprise. There are also wrestlers who are not in for one reason or another, which can often involve them turning down an invitation. That might be the case again with a legendary team. According to Dave Meltzer on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, WWE is hoping to induct the Steiner Brothers, or at least one of them, into this year’s Hall of Fame class. While Scott has not been associated with WWE for nearly twenty years and has had several negative things to say about the company, Rick appeared with his son Bron Breakker at an NXT event earlier this year. There is no word if either or both will be inducted, but they have been discussed behind the scenes. Opinion: While I would love to see the Steiners being inducted, one without the other wouldn’t exactly work. Rick did hav..

12 Names Confirmed For International Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame

It’s an honor. Wrestling is often centered around titles and championships, some of which are among the most sought after prizes in wrestling. However, those titles are eventually lost, with the championship changing hands. There are very few accomplishments in wrestling that last forever, but now some legends have achieved one of the most prestigious honors in the industry. According to PWInsider.com, twelve names have officially been confirmed for the 2022 class of the International Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame. This is the second class of the Hall Of Fame, which will be inducted on August 27 in Albany, New York. Here are the inductees, in alphabetical order: Alex Aberg Steve Austin Fred Beell Mildred Burke Tom Cannon Riki Choshu Dory Funk Jr. Karl Gotch Tom Jenkins Jim Londos Billy Robinson Joe Stecher Genichiro Tenyru Opinion: There is something very special about seeing legends honored like this. You do not get to see many unaffiliated Halls of Fame and it is rather cool..

Scott Hall On Life Support After Suffering Three Heart Attacks

Please get better. Wrestlers are a lot of things, including some of the most over the top, larger than life characters that you will see in all of television. They are able to showcase their abilities in front of a lot of people at the same time, ranging from television to live events. However, they are still humans, and that means bad things can happen to them, which was the case this week. PW Torch is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall is on life support at a hospital in Marietta, Georgia after suffering three heart attacks. Hall underwent hip replacement surgery last week but a blood clot got loose to cause the issue. There is no word on Hall’s chances for survival or what his next steps will be. Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 on his own and again in 2020 as part of the New World Order. Opinion: All that matters here is Hall’s health and hopefully he is able to make a full recovery. This is about as serious as you can get as Hall is literally survivin..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Another Former WWE Champion Joining Hall Of Fame

It keeps getting bigger. We are rapidly approaching WrestleMania 38 and that means things are starting to get more interesting in WWE. There are a lot of plans that need to be made before we get to the show, but some of those changes have nothing to do with WrestleMania itself. Some other things take place over the course of the weekend and now we might know something else about one of them. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Sycho Sid will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Sid wrestled for WWE in multiple stints and is a two time WWE Champion, last wrestling for the company in 2012. Should he be inducted, Sid would join Vader and Undertaker, the latter of whom Sid faced for the WWE Title in the main event of WrestleMania 13. Opinion: Sid is another name that might not have had the biggest demand to get in, but once you hear his name added, it makes sense. He has a certain level of charisma to him that makes you want to see what he is going to do ne..

WWE Announces New Hall Of Fame Inductee

He has earned it. There are very few honors in wrestling that last forever. While titles and championships are the most well known prizes, at some point, a wrestler is going to lose their belt and it will go on to someone else. That does not leave many options for recognition that continues forever, but now one legend is receiving such an honor that is long overdue. WWE has announced that Vader will be posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Vader wrestled for WWE from 1996-1998 and is a former three time WCW World Champion while also winning World Titles internationally. There is no word on who will be inducting Vader into the Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony takes place on April 1 after SmackDown, with the Undertaker being the only other inductee. Opinion: I’m not sure how Vader was never inducted before this as he is someone who could have given an interesting speech. Vader was one of the best monsters that you will ever see and it is great that he is fi..
