Backstage Updates on Potential Future WWE Returns

Might we see more? One of the defining traits of the Triple H era of WWE has been the return of several superstars that were released when Vince McMahon was in charge of the company. It would appear that more may be on the way. According to a report from Fightful Select, Chelsea Green has been under contract with WWE “for quite some time and is still awaiting creative.” This was after she was released from the company on April 15, 2021. Another indication that Green was headed to WWE was her recently shutting down her Onlyfans page. Green’s husband Matt Cardona, who competed as Zack Ryder in WWE, could be on his way back also; however, officials say that “Cardona is not signed, but that we shouldn’t rule anything out for the future.” Finally, Kylie Rae is reportedly still a free agent despite being brought in for a tryout and appearing on WWE Main Event. Editor’s Opinion: I, for one, would love to see Chelsea Green back. I always thought that she was incredibly talented and didn’t..

That’s A Lot: Mandy Rose Reportedly Making Eye Popping Numbers On Subscription Site

That’s a lot. Wrestlers can do a lot of things to improve their standing in a promotion and, in theory at least, make more money. That is the kind of thing that can be rather tricky as wrestlers have to figure out what fans want and then act accordingly. Now another wrestler is doing just that, and it seems to be going incredibly well, even if it has nothing to do with wrestling whatsoever. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Him: WWE Pulls Hall Of Famer From ECW Tribute Show Last week, WWE released Mandy Rose, reportedly over a series of controversial photos and videos Rose released on her FanTime subscription site. According to TMZ Sports, Rose has made $500,000 since being released, which could double as soon as Christmas Day on Sunday. Rose, 32 years old, has given no indication of when or if she will resume her wrestling career. Rose was a star in NXT. BREAKING: Surprise Title Change Takes Place In NXT Main Event

And there it goes! Titles are some of the most important things in a wrestling promotion as holding a championship makes it clear that a wrestler is one of the biggest stars in a company. Having a bright, shiny title is about as clear of an indication as a fan can get that they should notice a wrestler. As a result, it means a lot when a title changes hands and that was the case this week. Over the weekend, Roxanne Perez won the NXT Iron Woman Challenge at Deadline to become the new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Title. This week on NXT, Perez was attacked by NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, prompting Perez to say she wanted her title shot later in the night. Rose accepted, and went on to lose the title to Perez, ending her title reign at 413 days, the third longest in history. She’s the new champ. On The Clock? WWE Reportedly Considering Plans For Next Draft

Sometimes you need to shake it up. WWE has all kinds of wrestlers on its roster, to the point where they can be spread across multiple groups. This includes Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT, each of whom have their own unique group of stars. Every so often, WWE needs to mix things up though and now we might have an idea of when that will be coming next. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Releases Behind The Scenes Look At Becky Lynch’s SmackDown Return There was no WWE Draft this fall, breaking a three year stretch of holding the event in the fall. Though there had been discussions to hold a Draft after Clash At The Castle in October, nothing came of them. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has been discussing not having the next Draft until after WrestleMania. There is no confirmed date though and WWE has given no public indication of when it might take place. The Draft can be huge. REPORT: Injury Update for Cody Rhodes WWE Return Before Royal Rumble

Since the now infamous Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes back in June, the WWE Universe continues to wait for Cody’s return. All indications were that Cody would have been challenging Roman Reigns by SummerSlam. However, the torn pectoral muscle took him out of the game until next year. The general consensus on the rumor mill is that Cody Rhodes is expected back for the Royal Rumble in January. That’s about six months of recovery time for him. The expectation if that happens is that Cody would win the match and main event WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns. People are counting on that, but it’s been a minute since we had an update. Related: How Cody Rhodes Was Allowed To Wrestle At Hell In A Cell Brandi Rhodes, Cody’s wife, recently appeared on Steve Fall’s Ten Count and provided a health update heading into the end of the year. During the session, she described Cody’s progress as “really good” and told a few stories about him working with his physical thera..

Saraya Addresses Neck Issues After AEW Full Gear; Wants Match With Sasha Banks

Saraya made her return to the squared circle at AEW Full Gear on Saturday. She defeated Britt Baker in her return match that lasted about 12 and a half minutes. During the post-event media scrum, Saraya addressed the status of her neck after the match with Britt. In a nutshell, she said that her neck “feels great” and that the extensive tests that AEW performed confirmed her neck is 100 percent healthy. That was a surprise even to her, but Saraya also revealed the details of her training schedule as well. Watch the full video below to hear everything Saraya had to say after AEW Full Gear. WrestlingRumors reported that Tony Khan didn’t care if Saraya would be able to wrestle to not in AEW. As they explained above, the process was slow to confirm that she was healthy to wrestle. However, there were other plans in place if Saraya could perform as an in-ring talent. Neither Saraya or Tony Khan specifically addressed how often she will be wrestling. All indications are suggesting that w..

Positive Injury Update on Hangman Adam Page Before AEW Full Gear

On the October 18th episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday, Hangman Adam Page suffered a serious concussion injury in his AEW World Championship match against Jon Moxely. Aside from some general news, there haven’t been many reports on how his health is progressing, especially with AEW Full Gear just hours away. During the recent AEW media call with Tony Khan, one of the questions that was posed to the AEW President was how Hangman has been doing and his health status before AEW Full Gear. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Tony Khan said the following: Tony Khan says Hangman Page is healing well following his concussion — Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com (@SeanRossSapp) November 17, 2022 Related: Very Important Update On Hangman Page’s Injury Status “Healing” is the key word here. There have been no indications that Hangman Adam Page is ready to return to the ring. There doesn’t seem to be any reason to believe that Hangman will be at AEW Full Gear tonight as a performer. Huge Sign That Naomi And Sasha Banks Are Returning To WWE

That’s a big development. WWE’s roster looks very different than it did six months ago with several names returning to the company. While there have been several different names added in, there have also been some names who have left the fold. It can mean something when those people return to the company and now we might be getting ready to see some of those returns. Sasha Banks and Naomi returned to the WWE signature intro as of this weekend’s Crown Jewel event. They had not been in the intro as recently as earlier this week. While not confirmed, this would suggest that the two of them may be back on their way to WWE. Banks and Naomi have been missing from WWE since they walked out on the company in late May, vacating the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the process. Opinion: We seem to have been moving towards Banks and Naomi returning for several weeks now and the question is when will the two be back. Allowing them to be back in the signature intro would be a big indication that the tw..

WATCH: Darby Allin’s Latest Insane Stunt (From 92 Feet In The Air)

He’s a stunt guy. There are certain wrestlers who are best known for the stunts that they do rather than the matches that they have. During a match, you will see something take place that blows your mind but tends to be pretty run of the mill for whomever does it. Then there are some who do these kind of things outside of the ring and that has happened again for an AEW star. AEW’s Darby Allin has released a new video showing what he describes as a “slip and fall” off of a 92 foot waterfall into the water below. The video features Allin’s dive as two people watch from nearby, seemingly standing in the water. There is no indication of where the waterfall is located. Allin last wrestled on the Grand Slam edition of Rampage where he and Sting defeated the House of Black. Yeah this is a bit much. Check out Allin’s dive: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: As someone who is not quite comfortable with heights, this is about as terrifying of a concept as I can fathom. Allin ..

WWE Takes Big Step Against Sasha Banks And Naomi

That’s quite the step. The biggest WWE story of the week has been Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out on WWE this week at Monday Night Raw. The two left over issues with the creative direction of the show’s main event and there is no indication of when they will be back, assuming they ever are. WWE has addressed the issue, and now they have taken a pretty big step. This week on SmackDown, Michael Cole addressed Banks and Naomi’s walkout and said that the two were suspended indefinitely with the Women’s Tag Team Titles being vacated. According to PWInsider.com, all Banks and Naomi merchandise has been removed from WWE’s official online store. There is nothing to suggest that Banks and Naomi will be returning in the near future. Opinion: I’m not sure what to make of this whole thing, but it is pretty clear that WWE is trying to make an example out of Banks and Naomi. In addition to not being around in person, they are not going to be receiving any money from merchandise sales either. Thi..

WATCH: Roman Reigns Calls Out The Rock At WWE Live Event

That would be the big one. There are very few true dream matches left in the WWE. With so many matches being presented at any given time, it can be difficult for the company to come up with something new that fans will want to see. Those things do happen though, and there was another indication that what might be an all time dream match could be a possibility. WWE is currently in Europe on a live event tour, including a show in London, England on Saturday. The show was headlined by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns successfully defending his title against Drew McIntyre. Following the match, Reigns thanked the fans for bringing their energy to the show. A fan shouted something about the Rock, with Reigns responding that “The Rock can get it too.” Rock vs. Reigns has been discussed as a possible WrestleMania 39 main event, though the match has yet to be confirmed. It’s weird to see Reigns like this. Check out Reigns breaking character and addressing the London crowd: [Thi..

Say What? WWE Releases Suggest Major Communication Issues With Creative

They might want to work on that. WWE is the largest wrestling company in the world and that brings a lot of benefits. They are able to do things that other promotions are unable to do, but at the same time the status can cause some problems. With so many people in the company it can be difficult to keep track of everything, and that seemed to be the case earlier this week. On Friday, WWE released ten names from NXT, including several wrestlers. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the amount of wrestlers who were released while involved in televised storylines suggests that the NXT creative team did not know the releases were coming. This includes Malcolm Bivens, who gave no indication that he would be done with the Diamond Mine stable anytime soon. Opinion: This wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest, as WWE has a tendency to make these moves out of nowhere with little communication beforehand. If that is the case, I certainly feel sorry for NXT, as they now have to come up with so..

So Long: Former Champion Departs WWE

Fare thee well. There have been a lot of departures from WWE over the last several months and the majority of them have not been against the wrestlers’ wishes. WWE has released so many wrestlers that it has been hard to keep up with all of them, but not everyone has been let go. Now it seems that another wrestler has left, but this time it was their own decision to depart. According to Fightful, Kushida has left WWE. This comes after Kushida was attacked by Von Wagner last week on NXT, though there was no indication that Kushida was leaving. Kushida officially signed with WWE in April 2019 and spent his time with the company in NXT and on 205 Live. He won the Cruiserweight Title in April 2021 and held it for a little over five months before losing the title to Roderick Strong in September of the same year. There is no word on where Kushida plans to sign next. Fightful has confirmed that Kushida has left WWE We'll have details as we learn them on https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDa. pic.twi..

205 Live Results – January 7, 2022

205 Live Date: January 7, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness We’re back to the NXT version of Main Event, which seems to have dropped any indication of a new name. That is something that seemed imminent but now nothing seems to actually be taking place. Hopefully they get to the switch already, because there isn’t much of a point to this show otherwise. Let’s get to it. Malik Blade vs. Draco Anthony They fight over some basic grappling to start until Anthony shoulders him down. A headlock takeover keeps Blade in early trouble until he is right back with a dropkick. Anthony slams him out of the corner though and an overhead belly to belly gets two on Blade. The Boston crab stays on Blade’s back for a fairly long while but he finally manages to fight out. Some shots to the face put Anthony in trouble for a change and there’s a running clothesline in the corner. Blade hits his own suplex and a missile dropkick finally giv..

WWE Might Have Dropped A Hint For A Very Special Return At Extreme Rules

It’s a special moment. There are certain wrestlers who have an upgraded version of themselves that they do not bring out very often. When you know they are going to show up though, you can tell that things are about to get a lot more serious in a hurry. That very well might be the case again, and we could be in for something rather special at an upcoming WWE event. This week’s SmackDown ended with Roman Reigns successfully defending the Universal Title against Finn Balor, although the Usos attacked Balor before the match. After the match ended, Reigns went to leave but a red light flashed in the arena for a second. According to Wrestlinginc.com, this may be an indication of the return of Balor’s alter ego, the Demon, for a rematch at Extreme Rules later this month. The rematch has not yet been announced. This could get big. Check out what happened this week, plus what might be coming for Reigns: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..

A Top Summerslam Match Could Be In Big Jeopardy

That’s not a good sign. We are less than a week away from Summerslam, which has all of the makings of the biggest WWE event of the year. There are some huge matches already set for the card and the show should be great if WWE can pull everything off. However, one of the matches might be in some jeopardy of not taking place, at least if this weekend is any indication. According to PWInsider.com, neither Sasha Banks nor Bianca Belair appeared at Sunday’s WWE live event in Columbia, South Carolina. Belair had been scheduled to defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Banks at the event but neither were on the show, with “unforeseen circumstances” cited. This is the second straight show the two have missed and there is no word on what is wrong or when they will be back in action. The two are scheduled to meet for the title at Summerslam. Belair and Banks feuded from late January through WrestleMania 37 in April, where Belair defeated Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. Banks disa..

YES? NO? Update On Daniel Bryan’s WWE Status

Not so fast? There are certain wrestlers who can completely capture the fans’ attention, which makes for some amazing moments. You do not get wrestlers like that very often but when you do, you know that you are getting something special. WWE has had its share of those wrestlers over the years and one seemed primed for a return. However, that might not be the case at the moment. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s recent mentions of Daniel Bryan are no indication that he will be returning in the near future. Bryan has been mentioned in connection with the Edge vs. Roman Reigns feud, but it is only to advance their story. His most recent match took place on the April 30 SmackDown, when he was defeated by Reigns, forcing him to leave SmackDown. You might remember him. Check out some of Bryan’s best in WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure where thi..

Two AEW Names Missing Time Due To Coronavirus

It’s hitting everywhere. The Coronavirus has spread throughout the world and there is no indication that it will be slowing down in the upcoming months. That is the kind of thing that can change the way the wrestling industry works at the drop of a hat and that is what has happened recently. There have been outbreaks in both major companies and it seems that two more names are going to be gone for a bit. One of the best things that you can see on a wrestling show is someone making their debut with a highly successful performance. Someone can catch your eye in a hurry and it seems that they sky is the limit from the second they arrive. That was the case with two recently debuting AEW names, one of which has been signed to the company. However, it might be awhile before you get to see them again. Both Ben Carter and Serena Deeb will be missing time due to the Coronavirus. Carter sent out a tweet saying that he had been diagnosed with the virus. Deeb has announced, via the NWA, that she..

Otis May Have Trouble Cashing In Money In The Bank

That’s some fine print. Money In The Bank is one of the longer running concept in WWE, having now lasted more than fifteen years with several more wrestlers winning the briefcase over the years. The idea is pretty simple: win the ladder match by pulling down the briefcase and you get to challenge for the World Title at any time. That is the kind of thing that can make WWE turn rather hard in a hurry, but one wrestler’s contract is not what he thought. Back in May, Otis won the Money in the Bank contract, becoming one of the more surprising winners in the match’s history. Otis has gone on to hold the briefcase for the four months in between, with no indication of when he will be cashing it in. The contract is good for one year after Otis won it in the first place, or at least that is the idea in theory. The actual wording varies a bit. This week on SmackDown, Otis held up the contract in front of the camera, which allowed for a look at what it actually said. The text of the contract s..

Surprise Name Returning To NXT This Week

Long time no hear. The WWE has had a lot of different names working for it over the years and that can make for some nice memories. Some names might have been around a lot longer than others but there are always going to be some people who you forget. That can make for some nice moments if and when they pop up again and that is the case with a former WWE star. One of the most popular things for wrestling fans to do is ask what if. There are so many situations over the years that may make fans wonder what would have happened had things gone in a different direction and that is also the case with names not getting the kind of push that fans wanted. One name who never broke through is returning to WWE, but not in the way some expected. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, former WWE star Wade Barrett will be joining the NXT commentary team for this week’s show. This is seen as a one off appearance and there is no indication that Barrett has signed a full time deal with WWE. Barrett left th..
