WWE SmackDown Results – February 24, 2023

Smackdown Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Ford Center, Evansville, Indiana Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett It’s a crossover night as we have some guest stars from Monday Night Raw. Not only is Rhea Ripley here to confront Charlotte, but Dominik Mysterio is here to meet his dad Rey. In addition, Rey is going to be facing Karrion Kross again, because just beating Kross isn’t enough. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Roman Reigns retaining the World Title over Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. Kevin Owens came out for the save but he and Zayn are still not on the same page. Jimmy Uso arrives but hasn’t been able to get in touch with Jey. He has left Jey multiple messages, saying they can meet in the middle of the ring so Jey can get everything off his chest. Madcap Moss/Ricochet/Braun Strowman vs. Imperium Vinci and Moss start things off by running the ropes until Moss shoulders him down. Ricochet comes in with a slingshot hilo but a hard clothesline drops him. Kaise..

REVIEW: Main Event #1: 33 Years For 33 Million

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? The Main Event #1 Date: February 5, 1988 Location: Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant II. I’m not sure what else there is to say here because that’s all that could possibly matter with this show. This is the long awaited rematch from WrestleMania 3, which featured a bit of a controversial moment where Hogan may not have gotten his shoulder up in time. There is some other stuff around here but do you really think it matters? Let’s get to..

Tribute To The Troops 2022 Results

Tribute To The Troops 2022 Date: December 17, 2022 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s time for another of the annual holiday specials, though in this case this was tacked on after a TV taping over a month ago. These shows are basically short form house shows with a healthy dose of “WE LOVE THE TROOPS” thrown in. There are almost no expectations for one of them as a result so let’s get to it. We get the presentation of the colors and Star Spangled Banner, led by someone who sang it at the 2009 Tribute To The Troops. The opening video looks at the history of Tribute To The Troops, featuring several clips from the original shows and not so many from the recent editions. Braun Strowman vs. LA Knight Strowman throws him around to start but misses a charge into the corner. Knight goes after the knee but Strowman shrugs it off. The Monsterbomb finishes Knight at 2:05. Result: Braun Strowman b. LA Knight – Monster..

AEW Rampage Results – December 2, 2022

Rampage Date: December 2, 2022 Location: Indiana Farmer’s Coliseum, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We are eight days away from Final Battle and the card is in need of some work. There are a few matches set but nowhere near enough to carry a full pay per view. Maybe we can get something new added tonight, but you never can tell with this show. At least the wrestling tends to be fun so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Darby Allin vs. Cole Karter Before the match, Allin beats up Nick Comoroto with the baseball bat to cut him off. With that not being enough, Allin dives onto Karter on the floor but an apron powerbomb cuts him off. Back in and a buckle bomb rocks Allin again as we take a break. We come back with Karter missing a Stinger’s Splash but hitting a jumping knee to the face. Allin goes after the knee though and grabs a Code Red for two, leaving them both down. Karter drops him again and goes up, only to miss a 450. A hammerlock Scorpio..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 30, 2022

Dynamite Date: November 30, 2022 Location: Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We’ll wrap up the month here as MJF should be here for the first time as World Champion. That alone should be a heck of a moment, but we also need to get more of the build towards Final Battle out of the way. There isn’t much set for the show but that should change this week. Let’s get to it. Here is Jon Moxley to get things going. He talks about working to get here and what a wild ride it has been. There are three constants in life: death, taxes and Jon Moxley. No one can out work him, out fight him, out wrestle him or anything else. There is not one man who has the guts to come out here and tell him any different….and here is the returning Hangman Page. Moxley asks if Page wants to do this after what happened, if he can remember it. Page comes up swinging and the fight is on, with referees and security needing multiple attempts to break it up. Bry..

SmackDown Results – November 11, 2022

Smackdown Date: November 11, 2022 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett We have just over two weeks to go before Survivor Series and that card has started to come together. We have most of the participants set for the women’s WarGames match so maybe this week we can get someone set up for the men’s. Other than that, New Day is challenging the Usos in the hopes of saving their Tag Team Title record. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Roman Reigns retaining the World Title over Logan Paul at Crown Jewel. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: New Day vs. Usos The Usos are defending. Jey, with his hand taped, starts with Woods and they stare each other down a bit. Woods grabs a headlock as we hear about the histories between the teams. Kofi springboards in with a crossbody for two on Jey but it’s off to Jimmy with a right hand to the face. Everything breaks down and Kofi hits a Trust Fall onto both Usos as we take a break. W..

REVIEW: Mouse’s Wrestling Adventures: Fright Night: Where The Heck Is Mouse?

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Mouse’s Wrestling Adventures: Fright Night Date: October 11, 2019 Location: The Arena, Jeffersonville, Indiana Commentators: Nick Miller, Chad Green Assuming it is the same one, Mouse is someone who I have seen around on another show but don’t know much about him. Either way, this seems to be his (or someone named Mouse) show, which could go all over the place. I have no idea what is coming on this thing and that makes for a nice feeling. Let’s get to it. Keep in mind I have never seen this promotion before so I ..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – May 23, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: May 23, 2022 Location: Ford Center, Evansville, Indiana Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re in a bit of a different era these days, as we now have unified Tag Team Champions, plus the lack of Sasha Banks and Naomi. I know WWE got their chance to complain about Banks and Naomi last week, but why do it once when you can do it again? Other than that, we might actually get something new set for the pay per view next weekend. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the Usos beating RKBro to win the Raw Tag Team Titles. The Bloodline wrecked RKBro after the match. Here is Riddle for a chat. Riddle talks about how things have been hard for Randy Orton in the last few years. His back was messed up before the unification match and he could barely walk. Riddle isn’t happy with “that tribal piece of trash” Roman Reigns and he wants revenge on all of the Bloodline. Vengeance is sworn and he knows that Orton is watching at home. The RKBro chants ta..

REVIEW: WrestleMania 8: Double Double

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Wrestlemania VIII Date: April 5, 1992 Location: Hoosier Dome, Indianapolis, Indiana Attendance: 62,167 Commentators: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan This was one of the names mentioned for a possible redo so I’ll throw it in as a bonus. On his podcast, Bruce Prichard mentioned this as one of the worst Wrestlemanias ever and I’m really not sure why. The show features a double main event with Ric Flair defending the WWF World Title against Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan’s possible retirement match against Sid Justice. Le..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – February 14, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: February 14, 2022 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Jimmy Smith Corey Graves, Byron Saxton It’s the go home show for Elimination Chamber and that means it’s time for a lot of talking about the matches that have already been made for Saturday’s show. It also means that we are in for another limited commercial show, because if there is one thing WWE needs, it is more content. Let’s get to it. The opening video now has a voiceover saying “FOREVER. TOGETHER.” Here is Bobby Lashley with MVP to get things going. Lashley talks about having *to go through the Elimination Chamber to get to WrestleMania as WWE Champion. The Chamber has shortened careers and impacted lives….but so has he. MVP says there is 16% chance of Lashley retaining the title, but when you add in the Almighty Quotient, it is about 100%. Cue Seth Rollins to interrupt, saying that Lashley looks great, but not as great as he does. Rollins talks about how Lashley is c..

Big Update On Brock Lesnar’s Immediate Future

He’ll be sticking around. We are less than two days away from the Royal Rumble and that means things are starting to get serious around WWE. The Road To WrestleMania will officially begin and WWE will be turning things up a bit. Some wrestlers are going to be in more prominent roles, including some of the bigger names in the company. Now it seems that we will be seeing one of them even more than expected. According to 411mania.com, Brock Lesnar is being advertised for the Elimination Chamber event on February 19 in Saudi Arabia, as well as multiple Monday Night Raw and SmackDown events. The television appearances begin on the February 14 Monday Night Raw and end on the March 11 SmackDown, though Lesnar is not advertised for every show. Here is when he is being advertised: * January 30: WWE Raw (Cincinnati, Ohio) * February 14: WWE RAW (Indianapolis, Indiana) * February 19: Elimination Chamber (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) * February 21: WWE RAW (Columbia, South Carolina) * February 25: WWE ..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – November 15, 2021

wMonday Night Raw Date: November 15, 2021 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves It’s the go home show for Survivor Series and that means we should be in for some build to the show. Granted that has been the case for a few weeks now and the focus has been on whatever comes after the show instead. Maybe we can talk about the show a bit more this week, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Kevin Owens trying to make people believe he had changed last week. Then he lost to Seth Rollins and beat up Big E. anyway. Here is Big E. for a chat. He thanks the fans for their attention before moving on to Roman Reigns. The Usos attacked his friends and now it is time to beat Reigns like he stole something. There better be some empty beds in those Brooklyn hospitals for them because he is taking a piece of Reigns that can never come back. That’s for Sunday but this is Monday Night Raw, so he ..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – November 10, 2021

Dynamite Date: November 10, 2021 Location: Indianapolis Farmers Coliseum, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur It’s the go home show for Full Gear and that means things might actually be interesting around here. AEW knows how to stick the landing on their way to a pay per view and there is still some stuff that they need to cover. Odds are they’ll hit a lot of those points this week so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Rocky Romero Orange Cassidy is here with Romero. They go technical to start and the fans are behind Danielson as he grabs a headlock. The threat of an armbar sends Danielson over to the ropes so Romero elbows him in the face. Danielson flips over Romero in the corner but misses the running clothesline. Instead, Romero sends him outside, where Cassidy gives Danielson the hands in the pockets. The delay lets Romero score with a suicide dive but Danielson is back with the kicks and chops in the corner. A kick to th..

SmackDown Results – November 5, 2021

Smackdown Date: November 5, 2021 Location: Ford Center, Evansville, Indiana Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re just over two weeks away from Survivor Series and it might be time to start talking about the show. Since it absolutely has to be Raw vs. Smackdown, it shouldn’t be that hard to get things going. The show almost has to be better than last week’s so at least they have a clear bar to clear. Let’s get to it. Here is the Bloodline to get things going. Roman Reigns talks about taking last week off after smashing Brock Lesnar, but now he’s back so this tiny little no name town can acknowledge him. He was on a private island running around naked last week (his wife loved it), but not everyone had a good time. Brock Lesnar got fined a million bucks, but there was one more thing. Reigns asks Paul Heyman what happened to the Usos, with Heyman talking about how it was a non-title match. When flat out asked though, Heyman has to admit that the New Day won the match. Reigns li..
