KB’s Review: They Did Something

We are living in a brand new reality in wrestling and that is going to take some getting used to over the next….well years probably. Following the retirement (or forcing out, whichever you prefer) of Vince McMahon, WWE is officially in uncharted waters and the boss is not there to steer the ship. That could create a lot of problems, but that certainly wasn’t the case this week. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the fallout from Summerslam and happened to be one of the best editions of the show that I have seen in a LONG time. The show felt quite a bit different that anything Monday Night Raw had done in years and you could tell that there was a breath of fresh air to the whole thing. That was the case for a lot of reasons and we are going to look at some of the bigger ones this week. Note that this isn’t meant to be exhaustive, but rather the things that stood out to me the most. The biggest change that stood out was the wrestlers were acting more like humans. How often have you ..

WRESTLING RUMOR: Former World Champion Arrested For Theft, Faces Possible Jail Time

He might be gone for a bit. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who are able to do all kinds of things that will blow your mind on a regular basis. It takes some special talents to make that work, but at the same time, the wrestlers you are still seeing are humans. That means you are going to see them make mistakes, and now that might be the case again with a pretty serious situation. Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan has announced that former Ring Of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin has been arrested, resulting in him being pulled from upcoming cards. According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Elgin was arrested for theft of protein powder and could face up to five years in prison. There is a chance that a deal could be made to allow Elgin to avoid jail time by having him leave Japan, as was the case with Matt Sydal in 2016. [7.10 Shizuoka – Notice of wrestler absence & change of match card] Michael Elgin, who was scheduled to participate in the Shizuoka event on Sunday, July 1..

Get Ready: Injured WWE Star Teases Return To The Ring

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be easy to forget that some of them are around. Once you forget, it can be even easier to see them slip away for one reason or another. Sometimes that is due to some kind of an injury and that might be the case again. This time though, a wrestler seems like she is ready to make her big return. WWE’s Queen Zelina has sent out a tweet saying that “your queen will return soon.” This comes after Zelina has not wrestled a match since the April 11 Monday Night Raw, during which she suffered an undisclosed injury. It is not clear if the injury has healed or what needed to be done to fix the situation. There is no word on when Zelina will be returning or what she will be doing when she gets back. Aww I know my loyal subjects ? your queen will return soon, I promise! I am simply allowing the .. humans.. to have their fun.. for now. @wwe https://t.co/dU7sMlhJfy — ? ????? ?????? ? WATCH: Possible Injury Takes Place After Scary Crash At NXT Stand & Deliver

That was scary. Injuries are one of the few constants in all of wrestling and that is one of the worst parts about the whole sport. You never know when someone might get taken out of action, as it could be something built up over time or something that happens all at once. The latter might have taken place over the weekend, as a nasty landing could have put someone on the injured list. NXT’s Grayson Waller may have been injured during NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday. During a five man ladder match, Waller climbed to the top of a ladder and dove off, only to land on another ladder bridged between the ring and the barricade. After his landing, referees checked on Waller, who did nothing else for the rest of the match. His injury status is not known at the moment. This was bad. Check out the big crash: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That isn’t exactly a surprise as that was an insane jump and a horrible looking landing. There is only so much that a human can take a..

Scott Hall On Life Support After Suffering Three Heart Attacks

Please get better. Wrestlers are a lot of things, including some of the most over the top, larger than life characters that you will see in all of television. They are able to showcase their abilities in front of a lot of people at the same time, ranging from television to live events. However, they are still humans, and that means bad things can happen to them, which was the case this week. PW Torch is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall is on life support at a hospital in Marietta, Georgia after suffering three heart attacks. Hall underwent hip replacement surgery last week but a blood clot got loose to cause the issue. There is no word on Hall’s chances for survival or what his next steps will be. Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 on his own and again in 2020 as part of the New World Order. Opinion: All that matters here is Hall’s health and hopefully he is able to make a full recovery. This is about as serious as you can get as Hall is literally survivin..

Wrestling World Reacts To Big E.’s Injury

They have his back. An injury can be a terrible thing to see and some of them can be among the worst things to happen to a wrestler. In the blink of an eye, someone’s career and oftentimes life can be changed in an awful way, which leaves a lot of questions to be answered. One of the few positives to come out of this can be the outpouring of responses, which is the case again. This week on SmackDown, Big E. fractured two of the vertebrae in his neck when he was suplexed on the floor. He has since released a pair of videos updating fans on his condition, including an announcement that he will not need surgery. The injury took place on live television and several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have responded to the situation via Twitter. Here are some of the reactions. One of the best humans in the world. I’m hoping you’ve been keeping it a secret that you have wolverine-esque healing powers. Thinking of you. Love you E. https://t.co/RYJyQud9GT — The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) March ..

WWE Hall Of Famer Suffers Nasty Injury

That isn’t good to hear. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who get your attention no matter what they are doing. That can make for some interesting moments, which is exactly what a promotion is hoping they can do. The more interesting these wrestlers are, the better the business is likely to do, but the people are still humans. That means they have problems, and that was the case again recently. According to Jerry Jarrett’s Facebook page by way of PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has been hospitalized after breaking his hip in a fall. Jarrett said that he spoke to Hall, who informed him about the incident. Hall is currently scheduled to appear in Dallas for WrestleMania weekend as a guest at WrestleCon though it is not clear if that is still the case following his injury. Opinion: That is never good to hear and hopefully Hall makes as fast of a recovery as possible. It is a terrible situation and something that could take a good while for him to get better. Hall is..

More On Brock Lesnar Going Off Script At Elimination Chamber

Are you going to tell him no? There are certain wrestlers who get your attention like few others in one way or another. Sometimes it might be because of how they talk or some kind of over the top character, but there are other wrestlers who make an impact because they are a physical marvel who do things no human should be able to do. That was on display last week and now we know a bit more about what happened. Last Saturday, WWE presented its annual Elimination Chamber event, with the show’s namesake match serving as the main event. Reigning WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was taken out of the match due to an injury, meaning that he never actually entered. His chamber pod was opened anyway though, even with no one inside. Brock Lesnar literally kicked his way out of the pod to get into the match early, which was not planned. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar thought that there had been a mistake when Lashley’s pod was opened, instead thinking that he was next to be ad..

As Only He Could: Brock Lesnar Went Off Script At WWE Elimination Chamber

That’s not normal. This weekend, WWE presented its annual Elimination Chamber event, featuring two of the show’s namesake matches. The show was headlined by the men’s Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, with Brock Lesnar being crowned the new champion. That part might not be the biggest surprise, but there was one part that did not go according to plan. Bobby Lashley came into the men’s Elimination Chamber match as the reigning WWE Champion but was taken out of the match due to an injury before he ever entered. As a result, he was unable to participate when his scheduled entry took place. Instead, Lesnar kicked through his pod door and entered the match early. According to PWInsider.com, this was not a planned spot and Lesnar legitimately broke the Plexiglas in his pod door. Opinion: Lesnar is a scary human being and that is the kind of thing that only he could do. He literally kicked through a pod window and broke into the Elimination Chamber on the spur of the momen..

WATCH: WWE Stars Go Dancing In Saudi Arabia

When in Jeddah. Over the last few years, WWE has maintained a business relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. WWE has presented major events in the country, which earns them several million dollars per show. This has led to a controversial reception, as the country has a terrible human rights record. WWE continues to run events in the country though, which includes some interesting side moments. WWE will be holding the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia this coming weekend and the roster has already arrived in the country. A video has made its way online, showing the Miz and Goldberg at some sort of a celebration where they are both dancing while spinning sticks around. Both are scheduled to wrestle at the show, with Miz facing Rey Mysterio and Goldberg challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. This might get some people talking. Check out what the two WWE stars were up to: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is g..

That’s never good to hear. Wrestlers may play larger than life characters on television but they are still humans like all of us. That means they are going to have their good and bad days, with some of those days being a bit more serious than others. Occasionally this can mean a health issue, which was the case this week with a wrestling legend. Thankfully though, things seem to have gotten better. Alfonzo Lizarraga of The Gladiatores is reporting that Konnan has undergone heart surgery due to complications from the Coronavirus. While the situation continues to change, Konnan was considered stable as of Wednesday afternoon. There is no word on when the surgery took place or when Konnan will be released from the hospital. They’re Being Worked: Wrestlers Are Being Scammed Over Free Shoes

It can happen to anyone. Wrestlers are larger than life people who are constantly on television and trying to get your attention. Some of them are more successful than others and that can make for some interesting moments. However, the one thing that they all have in common is that they are humans, meaning they are going to make mistakes. Some of them have made similar mistakes recently and it has caused some problems. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, some wrestlers have been caught in a scam advertising free shoes. The scam involves wrestlers being told to go to a site and log in on one of their social media channels, allowing the scammer to steal their passwords. Multiple wrestlers have had their social media channels hacked recently, including Bray Wyatt and Omos, though it is not clear if their situations were related to the scam. Several of the wrestlers getting hacked are due to a free shoe scam. They have you go to a site, log in with your Twitter/IG and steal your..

LOOK: Former WWE Star Sports Striking New Look

It’s a new way to go. The look is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s presentation. There has to be something about a wrestler which makes you pay attention and keep you around, which can go in a bunch of different ways. A lot of the top wrestlers today have something notable to them, but now one of them has changed their look in a bit way. Recently released WWE star Keith Lee has posted a new photo of himself with mostly white hair. Lee said that his hair has been turning white since he was sixteen years old and that he likes it this way. Lee was released from his WWE contract in November and his no compete clause has yet to expire. There is no word on where he plans to sign and wrestle next. Here's a fun fact about me. I started getting white hair at 16 years of age! Personally, I like it. I wish it was all white. Unfortunately, many don't understand science, and *only* associate it with age haha. Happy Thanksgiving humans. Be thankful for the things you hav..

LOOK: Awesome Concept Art For Alexa Bliss And Bray Wyatt

Those are just awesome. Every now and then, you see a character in wrestling who catches your attention like no other. Fans can tell that they are going to be in for something that they have not seen before who lets you see a new direction for a character. Some of these are just downright awesome and it turns out that we almost saw two very different versions of two popular characters. Kyle. A Scarborough, a tattoo artist who helped design the Fiend’s mask, has tweeted out two pieces of concept art for characters who almost made it to WWE television. First up was a mixture of a mask/makeup that Alexa Bliss would have worn as a female version of the Fiend. The other is what would have been a humanoid Huskus the Pig, as an idea had been pitched to have the Firefly Fun House characters come to life, but only with Bray Wyatt playing them. Neither ever made it to television and Wyatt has been released from the company. Fun Fact: During the beginning of @AlexaBliss_WWE's run with #The..

AEW’s Max Caster Rips Crown Jewel With Photoshopped Tweet

The shots continue. This week, WWE presented its latest Saudi Arabia event, which included one of the most stacked cards in a very long time. However, as is the case with every Saudi Arabia show, there are certain problems hanging over the show, as Saudi Arabia’s human rights issues will be brought up every time. Now another wrestling promotion’s star is taking a shot at WWE as a result. During Crown Jewel, a fan held up a sign was held up saying “All My Homies Love Adam Pacitii” of Cultaholic, with Pachitti tweeting out a photo of the sign saying “I’ll take ‘things I didn’t expect to see on a WWE Saudi Arabia show’ for 500, Alex. Thank you!”. AEW’s Max Caster responded to the tweet with a Photoshopped version, with the sign saying “All My Homies Love The Acclaimed”, with the caption of “I’ll take “Things I Didn’t Expect to See on a Blood Money Show,” for $500, Alex!”. Caster has taken various shots at WWE and NXT in his raps before. I'll take 'things I didn't expect to..
