Since then, it has been revealed that Dominik only spent a few hours in prison, though he has continued to talk about his time there. In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Dominik said that the idea came about as part of a joke about a character called Prison Mike on the Office. It was a busy night. Title changes are one of the most important things that you can see at a wrestling event. A new champion being crowned marks a changing of the guard, as you have someone else becoming one of the to stars in a promotion. It can mean even more if multiple titles change hands in a single night, which was the case this weekend in the span of a few hours. There were two title changes over the weekend at NXT Vengeance Day. First up, Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. The win marks the first title changes for Henley and James and also ends the record setting reign for Chance and Carter at 186 days. Later, Gallus defeated Pretty Deadly, Chase U and reigning champions the New Day to win the NXT Tag Team Titles for the first time. She’s back. WWE has had a number of returns in the past 48 hours, with names such as Chelsea Green and Rick Boogs returning to the company. However, there was an additional name that also made her presence felt on television. Carmella made her return to WWE programming on tonight’s episode of Raw. It was also announced that she would be in a Fatal-4-way match on next week’s show, along with Candice LaRae, Michin, and Piper Niven. The winner of that match will qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, where the winner will face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. McMahon more or less forced his way back to control of the company and the question remains what kind of impact that is going to have on WWE. There are several questions left to be answered, but now we do know that one major thing about McMahon seems to have changed. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon is now working shorter hours than his original time with the company. McMahon was notorious for working incredibly late into the night but now is said to leave at a “normal” time as he is only working on selling the company. Rampage Date: January 6, 2023 Location: Portland Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Portland, Oregon Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are in for the first of two hours of AEW TV this week. That could mean quite a few things, but we do have a TNT Title match as new champion Darby Allin defends against Matt Taven. It’s a little weird to have a title match on the show right before a title made of nothing but title matches, but it should be good. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley/Bryan Danielson The Club gets jumped from behind to start and it’s Darius dropkicking Moxley for a quick one. A standing moonsault gives Dante two but it’s off to Danielson to fire off the kicks in the corner. Moxley comes back in to hammer away before it’s a four way standoff. That means the wrestlers’ goal is to move up to the main roster and get out of NXT, no matter how well they have done there in the first place. This left Rose’s Toxic Attraction teammates Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne with nothing to do, but according to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has plans to bring the two to the main roster without Rose. More than meets the eye. WWE runs a lot of television in any given week, with seven hours of national television between Monday Night Raw, NXT and SmackDown. That is a lot of material to cover and it means that WWE has its work cut out every time. It was nice while it lasted. AEW is a promotion with a large roster and only a few hours of television a week. As a result, their best option is to have several of their wrestlers put together in stables. This has been the case since the company was founded, but sometimes those stables have major issues. On the October 18th episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday, Hangman Adam Page suffered a serious concussion injury in his AEW World Championship match against Jon Moxely. Aside from some general news, there haven’t been many reports on how his health is progressing, especially with AEW Full Gear just hours away. During the recent AEW media call with Tony Khan, one of the questions that was posed to the AEW President was how Hangman has been doing and his health status before AEW Full Gear. Alexa Bliss is one of the most marketable stars that WWE has under contract, which often means a crazy schedule that keeps her away from home for significant stretches of time. Anyone with pets will tell you how hard it is to leave them for an extended period of time. The five-time WWE Women’s Champion just went more than 20 days being home. The card gets bigger. AEW does not have quite the same pay per view schedule as WWE. Instead of a major event every month, AEW presents one every three months or so. While there are a few other shows, the company is built around four major events. We are less than two weeks away from the next offering, and now we know a lot more about what is coming on the show. Three more matches were added to AEW Full Gear this week on Dynamite. First up, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal will team up against Darby Allin and Sting, following Jarrett and Lethal attacking Allin the previous week. Second, Saraya will return to the ring for the first time in nearly five years to face Britt Baker. Finally, Jade Cargill will defend her TBS Title against Nyla Rose, who has stolen the title belt. Full Gear takes place on November 19. Opinion: This is the kind of night that Full Gear needed, as the card went from five matches to eight in two hours. Two for the big one. We are on the way to Crown Jewel next week and that means WWE is going to be adding in as many big matches as they can to make the card feel special. That is one of the hardest things to do as it takes quite a bit of effort to make everything work. WWE is doing what they can and now they have two more matches to add to the card, both of which have potential. WWE announced two more Crown Jewel matches this week on SmackDown. First up, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will defend her title against Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match. This comes after Bayley defeated Belair this week on Monday Night Raw.
