Crossover: Former WWE Star Trying His Hand(s) At Boxing

Call it a crossover. Wrestlers receive a lot of criticism due to the pre-planned results of their matches, but it does not take away from the athleticism. The wrestlers that can get to the top of the industry are incredible athletes and some of the best you will find in any sport. It can be interesting to see what happens when wrestlers try their hand at another sport and that is the case again. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Well, that happened. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full nWo Invitational Battle Royal match from WCW Road Wild 1998. The match featured Goldberg, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig, The Giant, Scott Norton, Sting, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, and Konnan. You can see the match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From our own Thomas Hall: You can be eliminated either over the top or by pin/submission. Hall interrupts the ridiculously long entrances with the survey to keep this show going even longer. The NWO factions brawl while Goldberg hides in the corner. That lasts about fifteen seconds before Goldberg goes after Giant, which should have been a regular match tonight in the first place. Again that doesn’t last long and the match breaks down into a regular battle royal. Hall loads up the Outsiders’ Edge on Goldberg but gets backdropped out. Nash eliminates himself (you can’t make up jokes like this) and goes after Hall as Gol..

VIDEO: John Morrison Starring In New Film

It’s something else. Over the years, a lot of wrestlers have tried their hand in acting. The two industries do seem to go hand in hand and it isn’t crazy to imagine a wrestler becoming a successful actor. However, that has rarely seemed to be the case, as a lot of wrestlers who have gone into the other field have not exactly been thriving successes. The Rock has been quite the example in the field, but now someone else is seemingly making a run at it. Back in 2017, John Hennigan (better known as John Morrison of SmackDown fame) released a film called Boone: The Bounty Hunter, featuring himself as both the star and co-writer. The film was a step above the usual direct to video fare that you see from wrestlers and seemed to keep Hennigan’s interest in the field alive. Hennigan had some screen presence to him and now we are going to be seeing him in another movie role. This seems interesting. REVIEW: Bash At The Beach 1998: Summertime Not So Blues

Bash at the Beach 1998 Date: July 12, 1998 Location: Cox Arena, San Diego, California Attendance: 10,095 Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, Bobby Heenan Tonight is all about the celebrities as the main event is DDP/Karl Malone vs. Hollywood Hogan/Dennis Rodman. We’ve also got football player Kevin Greene vs. the Giant in what was supposed to be a tag match. Their original partners are in a world title match as new champion Goldberg defends against Curt Hennig. The midcard matches should be solid, meaning this has potential to be something good. Let’s get to it. The opening video focuses on the three major matches tonight with some shots of the beach cut in as well. The set is the usual intricate beach setting with sand, lifeguard towers and beach balls. The announcers wearing hula shirts is a nice touch as well.
