Former NXT Superstar Retires from In-Ring Competition

Changing roles can be good sometimes. NXT Trainer and Coach Matt Bloom recently appeared on the ‘Real Monster Radio’ show, where he discussed a number of topics. One of them was the status of a former NXT superstar, now turned coach. Bloom had the following to say about Oney Lorcan: “My position now as a head coach, I oversee my coaches,” Bloom said. “I have an amazing staff. So, I gotta give props to those guys. That’s a harsh one. Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see in wrestling as you never know when one is going to strike. Someone getting hurt can put them on the shelf for a long time and the question becomes how much time a wrestler is going to be out of action. Now a top WWE star is on the injured list again and now we know a bit more about just how bad things are. Welcome back. Injuries are always terrible to see in wrestling but they do have one silver lining: most of the time, wrestlers are able to come back from the injured list and get on with their careers. It can be great to see someone who up after a long absence, but at least the wrestlers are healthy enough to be back. Now two more stars are back on television after being gone for months. The Street Profits made their return this week on Monday Night Raw, defeating Alpha Academy in a tag match. This was the Profits’ first match since a WWE live event on September 24, as Ford was out of action with a calf injury. The return came a week after Ford said he was back to being healthy and ready to go, though there was no reference to the team returning to the ring this week. The guys are back. So far the main matches are a four way for the Ring Of Honor World Title and MJF challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title. AEW Signs Former NXT And Ring Of Honor Star To Full Time Deal

Welcome to the team. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. The company is able to offer all kinds of spots to different wrestlers who might never have another chance. It offers wrestlers a chance to get on the main stage that is not there with WWE dominating the market. Now another star who was once a part of WWE is going to have a place to stay. According to Fightful Select, Josh Woods has signed a full time contract with All Elite Wrestling. Woods has been appearing for both AEW and Ring Of Honor since Supercard of Honor in early April. Woods is a former Ring Of Honor Pure Rules Champion as well as a former NXT star, having worked for WWE 2014-2016. During his time in AEW, he has mainly teamed with Tony Nese. NXT Star Announces She Needs Surgery

She’s out for a bit. You never know when you are going to see an injury take place in the wrestling world and that is never a good thing. Wrestlers can be put on the shelf at any point for any length of time and it becomes a question of how long it will be before they are able to get back in the ring. Unfortunately that is the case again with a young, up and coming star. NXT’s Arianna Grace has announced that she has suffered an undisclosed injury and will be undergoing surgery next week. There is no word on how long she will be out, but Grace has promised to document her recovery process on social media. Grace is the daughter of Santino Marella and has been in NXT since the beginning of the year. She has recently been teaming with Kiana James. Hey you guys!!!! Wrestling Legend Hints At Changes Coming In His In-Ring Career

It happens to everyone. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them have been around for quite a long time. It is interesting to find someone who has had the kind of career that spans several decades as they have seen just about everything that there is to see. At some point though, everyone has to hang up their boots and that might be happening again. AEW’s Dustin Rhodes has posted a tweet discussion his status in wrestling. Rhodes, 53, says his old age has caught up with him and that he is doing some “heavy thinking” about his next step. He also says that time comes for everyone and that he is kind of scared. Rhodes does NOT say that he is retiring or anything similar in specific. Rhodes has only wrestled five times this year, with his most recent match taking place on August 24. Back in October 2021, WWE backstage correspondent Kayla Braxton dressed up as Sami Zayn for Halloween and impersonated him on Talking Smack. Earlier this week, Braxton asked who she should be for Halloween this year, prompting a response from Zayn, saying he held grudges. Miro Explains Why He Has Been Gone From AEW (In His Own Special Way)

That’s a good reason. There are a lot of talented stars on the AEW roster, which can create the problem of finding something for everyone to do. While there are all kinds of stars in the company, not everyone gets to appear very often. It can be notable when someone is gone so often and now one AEW star is addressing why he has not been around very often as of late. A fan on Twitter recently pointed out that Miro has not wrestled on AEW Dynamite in over three months. Miro responded to the fan, saying that he has been gone because “nobody has the balls”. WWE Considering Bringing Reunited NXT Team To Main Roster

They could be next. WWE is a unique wrestling promotion in that they have so many resources available to them. One of their biggest is their own in-house developmental system in the form of NXT. As a result, the company is able to build up stars with national exposure before bringing them up to the main roster. That might be what we are getting to see again. Over the weekend, Veer Mahaan reunited with Sanga at an NXT live event to reform the Indus Sher tag team. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is considering bringing the team up from NXT to the main roster at some point in the near future. There is no word on when the team might be brought up. Indus Sher teamed together in NXT before splitting up, with Mahaan coming up to main roster. Opinion: I can go with the idea of bringing the team up to the main roster, but I would hope that WWE has something a little more interesting in mind this time. How The AEW Locker Room Views The Young Bucks After All Out Brawl

They are some of the people who matter. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year remains the backstage brawl after AEW All Out. A group of wrestlers including CM Punk and the Elite got in a huge fight, resulting in several suspensions. It also suggested quite the divide backstage in AEW, but now we might know a bit more about whose side seems to be more popular. According to a Pro Wrestling Torch audio show, the Young Bucks are mostly seen as good guys backstage in AEW. This includes wrestlers feeling like Punk should not have spoken about them as he did at the All Out media scrum. Just like the other guys. There are a lot of wrestling promotions in the world today but WWE and AEW get far more attention than anyone else. That is due to a variety of reasons, but their star power is very high up there. Both companies have stars that fans are going to want to see and it turns out that both of them have the same policy in order to keep those wrestlers around under certain circumstances. WWE has a policy that the contracts of injured wrestlers are allowed to be extended in the case of injuries. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW wrestlers undergo the same situations if they are injured, as their contracts have the clause included. There is no word on if any of the currently or previously injured AEW stars have had their deals extended in this way. WWE superstar Big E was recently interviewed by Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, discussing his future in the ring. He gave an update on his condition and if he will ever return to the ring again: “That [whether he thinks he’ll ever wrestle again] I’m unsure of. It’s time for another AEW pay per view and most of the time, that has been some very good news. AEW has a heck of a track record with pay per views, though things have been a bit weaker than usual in recent months. Ouch: WWE Star Announces He Is Out Of Action With An Injury

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf. They can be long or short term but they always happen to someone at some point. The question then becomes just how long someone is going to be on the shelf and now that is the case with a current WWE star. Monday Night Raw’s Shelton Benjamin has revealed that he has been out of action with an injury. Benjamin did not specify the nature of his injury but said he would be back in a little while. He has not wrestled a match since April 25, when he wrestled a match taped for Main Event. Benjamin also revealed that this is only the second time in his career that he has been out with an injury. That’s an improvement. There are very few things sadder in wrestling, or anything really, for hearing about someone dealing with serious health issues. It happens with a lot of people, but sometimes you get a break and find out that things are not as bad as they seem. That might be the case again, as a wrestling legend is refuting reports about his health status. Earlier this week, Jim Ross mentioned that AEW’s Jake Roberts was dealing with serious health issues involving his breathing, which was keeping him off of AEW television. However, Roberts has responded to the story on Twitter, saying that it is untrue and he will be around for a long time. Ross has not responded to Roberts’ statement. Roberts has been serving as Lance Archer’s manager in AEW.
