It’s a Hall Of Fame thing. Wrestling has a history of working with celebrities and it has been a mixed bag over the years. There are several celebrities who are there for the sake of promoting their latest project and nothing more, while there are occasionally celebrities there for their love of wrestling (among other things). The latter was the case this week and a WWE legend got involved as a result. During the interview, wrestling was brought up, resulting in Bunny bringing out Rey Mysterio. Host James Corden then faced Mysterio in a match, where he was quickly defeated. That does not offer them many options for getting their name out there otherwise, but it does happen occasionally. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Hi There: International Star Makes Official WWE Debut Liv Morgan was a guest at Tuesday’s New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden to promote WWE’s upcoming live event in the same venue. During the night, Morgan was acknowledged as a guest of the team and presented with a customized Knicks jersey with her name on the back. Also during the night, Morgan was shown watching the game while a fan spoke to her, but she barely acknowledged anything he said. That’s a telling sign. Last May, Naomi and Sasha Banks both walked out on WWE, while still the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone, has since resurfaced in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Naomi however has not been seen in a wrestling capacity since the walk out. However, it didn’t take long for his next challenger to be known. Following the event, WWE held its post-show press conference, with a number of guests. The first guest was Theory, who announced that he would be issuing an open challenge to anyone for his championship this coming Monday night on Raw. While there is always the chance that someone is going to be missing due to an injury, there is also the chance that they are going to be gone due to a storyline. On occasion you will see someone go from one of the two main rosters down to NXT, either for some polishing up or as a surprise. The latter was the case this week, and it might lead to something big. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: NXT Star Returns To The Ring After Injury Absence This week’s NXT featured an in-ring segment with NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly. The team said that no one could beat them, but were interrupted by New Day. After some insults, New Day challenged Pretty Deadly to an NXT Tag Team Title match at Deadline this weekend.
