Dynamite Date: March 1, 2023 Location: Cow Palace, San Francisco, California Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s the go home Dynamite for Revolution and that means we have a stacked show. This time around that includes the Face of the Revolution ladder match plus a Casino tag team battle royal to determine the fourth team in Sunday’s four way Tag Team Title match. That should be more than enough to carry the show so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Big Bill Bill, with Stokely Hathaway, is challenging. Cassidy gets backed to the floor to start and the chase is on, with Cassidy messing with Bill’s mind. With nothing else working, Cassidy even steals Stokely’s glasses before tumbling away from Bill. Back in and the tornado DDT is countered into a side slam to plant Cassidy for the first time. Rampage Date: July 29, 2022 Location: DCU Center, Worcester, Massachusetts Commentators: Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross It’s another night of Fight For The Fallen, which went very well on Wednesday so maybe they can keep it up here. You never know what that might mean but the more star power this show can have, the better it is going to be. I’m not sure what that is going to be this week, but Rampage can be quite fun. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Best Friends vs. Satnam Singh/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt Dutt is still in his suit, complete with pencil behind his ear. D’Oh! How A WWE Star’s Entrance Once Broke An Elderly Fan’s Glasses

That’s a unique situation. Wrestling is a very visual medium and it takes a lot to find a way to stand out. One of the best ways is to do something that is either very unique or strikingly visual, and in some cases a wrestler does both at once. That is the case with a current Monday Night Raw star, but one time his unique look and entrance went a bit too far. During an appearance on the OutKick 360 podcast, WWE star Riddle told a story of a time where his entrance broke an elderly woman’s glasses. Riddle was wrestling in NXT at the time and did his signature entrance of jumping in the air and kicking off his flip flops. However, one of the shoes went straight through the ropes rather than over and hit the woman in the face, breaking her glasses. Riddle apologized to the woman and gave her the flip flops, plus made sure to take the match outside in front of her to try and make up for the accident. Who could it be? Last night, at the Money in the Bank 2022 pay-per-view, a brand new vignette aired featuring a number of strange symbols. Included were creepy music, a cross, candles, and others. My initial thought was that it was the return of bray Wyatt, as these types of things were what he specialized in. There were gold medals, a cross, armbands, and glasses with tape in the middle; all throwbacks to some of his previous feuds with legends over the years. More Details On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return And Original Summerslam Plans

They had an idea. WWE is in a bit of a weird place when it comes to top stars. Roman Reigns has dominated the company for the better part of two years now and there is nothing to suggest that he has more than one or two serious competitors. WWE might have started to remedy that this week, though it turns out that it was not their original choice for the spot. The big surprise ending to this week’s SmackDown saw the return of Brock Lesnar, who attacked Reigns to end the show, setting up their Summerslam main event. According to Fightful Select, Lesnar was brought in as a replacement for Randy Orton, once it was clear that Orton would not be able to wrestle at Summerslam due to his back injury. Lesnar being brought in had nothing to do with the Vince McMahon investigation this week. Opinion: This isn’t the most surprising thing, but it does say a lot that WWE is so shallow at the top of the card that their options are either Orton or breaking the Lesnar glass. So I’ve been sitting around trying to come up with something to talk about this week. It’s a few days after WrestleMania Backlash and the show was quite good, including a title change that was probably long overdue. Then we have had Monday Night Raw, NXT, Dynamite and some news here and there. After all that, I have come to a conclusion: nothing is worth a full column this week. Therefore, it is time to break the glass and go into the slightly off inner workings of my head, as I’m going to do a stream of consciousness deal this time. That means starting with any given topic in wrestling and talking about it until I move on, with a grand total of nothing connecting these things whatsoever. When worlds gently collide. The rise of AEW has opened a new world to wrestling fans and it has made things that much more interesting in a hurry. Above all else, it has allowed all kind of newer and unproven wrestlers to be showcased in ways they never have been before. AEW also has a large amount of veterans on its roster, and now one of their younger stars has met quite the veteran. AEW’s Orange Cassidy has posed a new video to his Instagram page, showing him meeting Ric Flair. Cassidy gives Flair his own pair of sunglasses, which Flair puts on and gives a WOO. Why Keith’s Lee Music Was Changed, More Changes May Be Coming

The familiar sounds. There are certain wrestling songs which are forever linked to some wrestlers. You know who is coming out if you hear glass shattering. You know who the Real American is. You know what that gong means. Those are the kind of songs that are going to be linked with a wrestler forever and while some others might not be as iconic, it can be annoying to see them changed up for less than satisfactory reasons. Over the last several years, a majority of WWE’s music has been handled by CFO$, a band which has produced some pretty good entrance themes for the current generation of WWE stars. You know them when you hear them and the songs are pretty catchy. They offer a lot of recognizable theme songs but a decision outside of WWE’s hands is going to change a lot of them. Cue glass shatter! There are certain objects that are tropes in wrestling. It might be a chair, a table, a ladder (someone could make a show with that name) but another is throwing people through glass. This makes for a great visual as going through glass is one of those things that always looks awesome. It’s even happened enough that WWE can look at a countdown of such moments. The video is exactly what it sounds like, with a look at wrestlers being thrown through glass in one for or another. There are different kinds of glass included, ranging from windows of cars to windows to rooms, including one that is part of a house. The list ranges several years, with multiple decades included. Fans boo. * The roster is on the stage as Acting RAW GM Baron Corbin talks Crown Jewel and Survivor Series. Security is blocking the ring. Corbin announces he will face WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle tonight with the winner being the Team Captain for the men’s RAW team at Survivor Series. Dolph Ziggler and Braun Strowman already have spots. Alexa Bliss is the women’s Team Captain but she’s just leading the team, not wrestling. Video: Update On Seth Rollins’ Injury, Is He Back In The Ring Yet?

Nothing about this sounds good. Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins was thrown off of the stage and went arm first into the window of a police van (check out the video here). The arm went through the glass and Rollins was cut open very badly, leaving a pool of blood underneath Rollins. The immediate questions was how bad the injury might be, and a few days later, we have an update. According to Wrestlinginc.com, Rollins did not wrestle at Friday’s house show in Birmingham, Alabama but did appear at the end of the show to help Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose powerbomb Dolph Ziggler through a table. The table however didn’t break and Ziggler bounced off of it instead. Update on Seth Rollins’ Potential Injury; How Serious Is It?

It had been previously reported that Seth Rollins may have suffered an injury this past week on Raw, as his arm was bloody after being thrown into an ambulance during the final segment of the show. When he made contact with the vehicle, a glass window broke, causing the cut. Will this cause him to miss any time? According to the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rollins has been cleared to appear at this weekend’s house shows, so it would appear that the injuries weren’t serious. <p>Ross says that while this past Sunday’s Battleground PPV has been widely criticized by fans and critics alike, he doesn’t believe any of that should be placed at the feet of the talent who he thought worked very hard on Sunday night. He believes we’re living in a society where the glass is always half empty, when in reality it could be half full as well.</p><p>He says that sometimes WWE has the tendency to book themselves into a corner, and that might have been the case this past Sunday. With a Flag Match and a Punjabi Prison match, WWE removed the drama of false finishes and this might have been a negative to the show’s overall presentation.</p><p></p><p>He thought <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/Kevin-Owens" title="Kevin Owens">Kevin Owens</a></strong> and A.J. Styles had a very good match, but there was an intangible missing and that prevented it from being great. He says that if he was booking a territory today two of the first individuals he’d want to sign are Owens and Styles. Ross also thought Cena & <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/rusev" title="Rusev">Rusev</a></strong> worked hard in their match despite the live crowd being somewhat uninterested.</p><p>Ross thought all the women worked hard in their match as well and while <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/natalya" title="Natalya">Natalya</a></strong> winning was a surprise, Ross thinks this was a great booking decision by WWE. Charlotte is obviously the alpha female in WWE right now but she needs opponents, so Ross thinks it’s only a matter of time before this Natalya win results in a positive situation for Charlotte.</p>

<p>Welcome to our SmackDown Live results, less than a week away from WWE Battleground!</p><p>WWE Champion Jinder Mahal brings the Punjabi Prison structure to SmackDown Live! It’s been a decade since we’ve had a Punjabi Prison match in WWE, so I’m curious to see if the structure itself will have changed at all. It’s unclear what Mahal will do with the Prison but Randy Orton is scheduled to return on tonight’s SmackDown!</p><p>The main event for tonight’s SmackDown Live gives us a preview to two of Battleground’s biggest matches as AJ Styles teams with Shinsuke Nakamura to face Kevin Owens and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/baron-corbin" title="Baron Corbin">Baron Corbin</a></strong>. SmackDown Live has unfortunately been featuring quite a few tag matches recently, which always feels like lazy booking, but I expect these four guys to put on a heck of a match. Sparks should fly between the combatants as Owens faces Styles for the US Championship in less than a week, and Corbin also faces Nakamura at the PPV.</p><p>We get a big in-ring debut on tonight’s SmackDown Live, which sees Mike Kanellis take on <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sami-zayn" title="Sami Zayn">Sami Zayn</a></strong>. For weeks Sami has unintentionally crashed the romance between Mike and Maria Kanellis, which led to Mike finally bursting last week and smashing a glass over Sami’s head. I figured this match would be kept until Battleground but we’re getting it tonight, which will probably end in a no contest or some form of screwy finish that leads to a Battleground rematch.</p><p>And finally, The Fashion Police will take one step closer to finding out who was behind their attacks, and John Cena is set for a sit-down interview ahead of his Flag Match with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/rusev" title="Rusev">Rusev</a></strong>! Paige Claims Alberto El Patron Never Hit Her

<p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/paige" title="Paige">Paige</a></strong> issued the following statement on Twitter regarding the incident at the Orlando airport. In the statement she claims that Alberto El Patron never hit her and she’s never hit him, however admits that she has charges against her for throwing a drink on El Patron.</p><p><em>“Alberto didn’t want me to say full story because he didn’t want people to know and I didn’t want people to know that I threw a drink on him. But the full story is. I had a phone call saying my uncle is in a bad way. I’m crying outside the restaurant. I go in, alberto is hugging me. I’m a little sensitive and we start bickering about something so small. I say I’m leaving and he says something that I won’t write on here but it wasn’t nice and I, even though I shouldn’t have done it. I threw a drink in his face because I was so angry. Again. Shouldn’t have done it. It was in front of a lot of people. I walk out. He follows me a few seconds later and gets the cops and security and a crazy lady decides to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/leave/" title="leave">leave</a></strong> whatever she’s doing to follow us and invade our privacy in the completely low way. Only low life people would do.</em></p><p><em>Anyways. It was ME who was being held for battery charges because I threw a drink on him. No. he never touched me and no I never hit him with a glass 3 times like the internet in all their glory is making out. Its completely ridiculous how one story can spiral out of control. Oh and guess what internet. He smelt like beer BECAUSE I THREW A BEER ON HIM. Nothing more. Nothing less. No one got arrested. There’s no mug <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/shots/" title="shots">shots</a></strong>. There’s no charges. Nothing. The horrible, disgusting human being of lady decided she wanted to make money out of our misfortune. I wish, WISH people would give us the privacy we deserve. I know we won’t get it.
