There have been some very important developments and changes in the WWE’s women’s division in the last several years, with the Four Horsewomen being the focal point for a long time. The four of them have been huge stars in WWE since their debuts, but at some point they have to be replaced. Now a WWE boss seems to think something special about an upcoming star. According to WrestleVotes during an interview with GiveMeSport, WWE executive Triple H sees NXT’s Cora Jade as the next Sasha Banks. WWE sees her as having the talent, a unique look and being young at 21 years old. The company feels she has high potential, though there is no word on when she could be promoted to the main roster. Jade signed with WWE in January 2021 and is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Roxanne Perez. They are some of the bigger names who can do things that others can’t and as a result, those people have more influence. It kind of writes itself. There are certain groups of wrestlers who might not be officially recognized together on screen but have a real connection. That was the case with the Kliq and the Bone Street Krew, but it is also the case in modern wrestling. Sometimes this spills over onto television as well and it almost did again in a major way on the biggest show of the year. According to Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport, WWE considered a fatal four way match between Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley, collectively known as the Four Horsewomen, for WrestleMania 38. However, the plan was scrapped primarily because of Ronda Rousey, who decided she was ready to return to WWE and was put in a WrestleMania title match instead. AEW Might Be Bringing In Another NXT/MMA Star

She might have a new home. There have been a lot of huge shakeups in the wrestling world and quite a few of them have come from WWE’s massive series of releases. WWE has let go all kinds of wrestlers from its main roster and NXT, many of whom have now gone elsewhere. That can make for some surprising moments, another of which might be happening sooner than later. According to Wrestlinginc.com, AEW is planning to release a Marina Shafir shirt, which has already been announced by Pro Wrestling Tees. While not confirmed, this could suggest that Shafir will be signing with AEW in one way or another. Shafir has wrestled three matches on AEW Dark, starting in December, since her release from WWE on June 25, 2021, along with several other wrestlers. Shafir is a wrestler and also a former mixed martial artist, including being part of the Four Horsewomen with Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. What could have been. Women’s wrestling has come a long way in the last few years, and while it has not been the only reason, the WWE Women’s Revolution has played a major role in the changes. This has been led by the Four Horsewomen and the group has stayed on top of the WWE women’s division for several years. However, it turns out that one of them wanted out. Back in 2019, Sasha Banks took a hiatus from WWE after WrestleMania 35 before she ultimately returned later in the year. Banks has opened up about the hiatus in a new interview with Ariel Helwani Meets, saying that she needed to take time away from wrestling to find herself. Her entire life had been about wrestling and she wanted to take some time away. Banks even asked Vince McMahon for her release from the company, but McMahon felt that she only needed time away, which she was granted. It’s a fascinating interview. WWE Releases Six More Wrestlers

Even more down. One of the biggest stories of the year has been WWE’s huge round of cuts. WWE has let dozens of wrestlers go from the company, with some of them being fairly high profile names. Almost no one on the roster has been immune to what has been happening though and that has made for some big shakeups. There were even more of them today and the list keeps growing. In addition to the seven names released from the company earlier today, WWE has also released six more names later in the day. According to PWInsider.com, Marina Shafir, the Bollywood Boyz (Sunil and Samir Singh), Curt Stallion and Arturo Ruas have all been released from the company. Finally, NXT’s Killain Dain has confirmed his own release via Twitter. Shafir is a former mixed martial artist and a member of the Four Horsewomen of MMA. The Bollywood Boyz have been longstanding members of the 205 Live roster and appeared with Jinder Mahal as the Singh Brothers. Stallion had been on 205 Live as well, but has been out..

THIS SmackDown Segment Drew Highest Wrestling Audience In Months

It got the attention. The Women’s Revolution has been going for over five years on WWE television but it really started years before. Down in NXT, the Four Horsewomen became the cornerstones of the movement and they took those talents up to the main roster. The four of them have feuded with each other in various combinations for years and now one of them has gotten some serious attention. Last week on SmackDown, Bayley and Sasha Banks lost their rematch for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Banks was injured during the match which ultimately cost them their title shot. After the match was over, Bayley attacked Banks and went after her already injured knee, followed by Pillmanizing Banks’ neck. This was a long time in the making and the fans were rather interested. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the 9:00 – 9:30 time slot from last week’s SmackDown, which featured the title match and the post match attack on Banks, drew 2.32 million viewers. Earlier this week, the SmackDown women’s division, the SmackDown Women’s Title and the main event of WrestleMania 35 (for the Raw Women’s Title) all took a major turn when Charlotte defeated Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Title. It’s not clear what this is going to mean yet for WrestleMania, but one rumored event seems to not be the case anymore. According to Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline.com by way of 411mania.com, there is no truth to the rumor that WWE is planning to have the Four Horsewomen of NXT pose to end the show. The four (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch) could all leave the show with titles, though there are currently no plans to have them recreate their pose from Takeover: Brooklyn in 2015. <p>During Friday’s Mae Young Classic tapings at Full Sail University, WWE did an angle that saw a tease between WWE and UFC’s Four Horsewomen.</p><p>After one of Shayna Baszler’s matches in the tournament, Charlotte, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/becky-lynch" title="Becky Lynch">Becky Lynch</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/bayley" title="Bayley">Bayley</a></strong> were shown at ringside on the opposite side of Ronda Rousey and her crew.
