That’s a big stage. While wrestlers are celebrities who are on national television every week, there is a limit to how big most of them are going to become. That can be seen when these stars are rarely involved in any mainstream media appearances. Every so often you see something a little more surprising and now that has happened again, in one of the most prominent places available. First, Logan Paul appeared in a commercial for his Prime sports drink. The clip included footage of Paul in WWE, including his frog splash to Miz at Summerslam 2022. Second, Undertaker appeared in a Draftkings ad, featuring a number of other sports celebrities, including Tony Hawk and David Ortiz, among others. Mutual respect. After Smackdown went off the air this past week, WWE shot and released some footage of Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio backstage. They showed mutual respect for each other, as well as exchanged Lucha masks. Both Escobar, Mysterio, along with Karrion Kross would come up on the losing end of the battle, while Madcap Moss would pick up the victory. He will face Gunther next week for the championship. As a result, WWE owns by far the biggest collection of wrestling footage in history with nothing coming close to it. She and Karrion Kross battled the team of Emma and Madcap Moss in a tag team match at a live event in Wheeling, West Virginia. WATCH: Surprise Title Change Takes Place At WWE Live Event
It really can come out of nowhere. Titles are one of the most important things in all of wrestling. They designate who the top stars in the promotion are supposed to be and give the fans something to notice. With so many championships, it can be difficult to find a way to make each one stand out. A gimmick can help, and that was on display this weekend at a live event. WWE referee Aja Smith won the WWE 24/7 Title from Nikki Ash at a WWE live event in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Saturday. Ash was scheduled to defend against Dana Brooke but stopped to show Smith, who rolled her up with fellow WWE referee Shawn Bennett counting the pin. Bennett then tried to roll Smith up for the title but only counted his own two. Ash then won the title back and eventually released footage of the whole situation. His name is out there. One of the most interesting things that a wrestling promotion can push is a mystery. By making fans wonder what is going on and where a story might be going, a company can get a long way in a short amount of time. Crossover? NXT Fight Takes Place Backstage At WWE SmackDown
You have to get it in where you can. There are several WWE shows every single week with each one looking at a different core of wrestlers. This includes both main roster shows as well as NXT, which has its own world and group of stars. It can be interesting to see someone from NXT get involved with something on the main roster and now that has happened again (kind of). The NXT Twitter account has released a photo of a brawl that took place between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner at last week’s SmackDown taping. The two have been feuding in NXT and it is unlikely that the brawl suggests that the two are being called up. Instead, the fight was likely held at SmackDown due to the show being taped near the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The footage will likely air on this week’s NXT. AEW’s Cable Partners Ban MJF From Advertising Over Recent Promo
I think he struck a nerve. Talking is one of most important abilities a wrestler can have, if not the very most important. Wrestlers can get in the ring and have a good match, but it takes something special to get fans invested in what is going on. That is where a great promo can come in, which was the case last week. It just might have been a little bit too great for some people. Last week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman gave an interview where he erupted on AEW as well as AEW President Tony Khan. Friedman talked about not being happy with his spot in the company or how he was being treated and at one point was censored. According to PWInsider.com, an edict has been issued at Warner Brothers Discovery ordering that Friedman be removed from all material promoting AEW, with different clips being used in their place. They really need that? WWE has been around for a very long time now and has put on more events and shows than anyone could reasonably count over the years. That means there have been all kinds of moments throughout the years, some of which are all time classics. WWE loves to look back on its own history, and that is what they are doing again, but with a not that normal twist. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is using old footage for their modern video packages. This includes using footage from John Cena returning as the Dr. of Thuganomics in 2012 as part of a package on Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin from WrestleMania Backlash, and footage from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show as part of a Stephanie McMahon segment on WWE Evil. VIDEO: Footage Released From Jimmy Uso’s DUI Arrest, Uso Swears At Police Officer
That doesn’t make it better. Wrestlers are like anyone else in that they have personal issues that take place behind the scenes. Some of these are more prominent than others and unfortunately a lot of them do not exactly paint wrestlers in the best light. That was the case last year and now we can see a bit more about just how bad the whole thing wound up being. Back in July, SmackDown’s Jimmy Uso was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Pensacola, Florida. Now TMZ has released video of the incident, which shows Uso yelling at the officer and swearing at him. The officer said that he hoped Uso passed his field sobriety tests, sending Uso into a rant against the officer, accusing him of making a remark that he shouldn’t have. The officer tried to calm things down and said Uso had misunderstood. Following his arrest, Uso was eventually ordered to complete classes related to the whole situation and has since done so. It’s always great to take a look. WWE has posted a new video to its media channels in which they show a behind-the-scenes look at Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE on Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. WATCH: Bonus Footage From Jeff Hardy’s AEW Debut
It’s worth a closer look. AEW has brought in a variety of wrestlers over its short history and some of them have made quite the impact. The wrestlers have been a mixture of new wrestlers, up and coming stars and established veterans, some of whom are able to get a new life in AEW. That is what happened last week, and now we have a little more to see from what happened. Last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured the debut of Jeff Hardy, who saved his brother Matt from an attack. This latest edition of Being The Elite features bonus footage from Jeff’s debut, including Jeff standing backstage and hearing his entrance music start. Later in the show, the Hardys told the Young Bucks that they are coming for the AEW Tag Team Titles to prove that they are the greatest team of all time.
