That sounds like a plan. There are a lot of things that go down throughout a wrestling show, including things that do not take place in front of the audience. That is the kind of thing that you see take place on any given show, but at the same time, it does not mean that you are seeing something take place as it seems. Now we know a bit more about how a major promotion makes this work. Fightful Select has some details on AEW’s backstage production setup. AEW reportedly films several of their backstage segments in advance rather than live in an effort to reduce travel costs. If a wrestler is only going to be at an event for a short backstage segment, it will be filmed in advance rather than bringing someone in for a full day. For example, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland’s backstage segment in Cincinnati was filmed in Toronto the previous week to avoid bringing in Lee and Strickland for a brief moment of filming. That’s quite a long time. The Coronavirus pandemic changed the way a lot of things worked in the world, including in the wrestling industry. While WWE was shaken up, they were able to continue moving forward thanks to their access to the Performance Center, where Monday Night Raw and SmackDown took place for several months. However, it turns out that things were a lot more difficult than they seemed. Former WWE referee discussed WWE’s time in the Performance Center during his Monday Mailbag Forum this week, where he revealed that some Performance Center matches took hours to shoot. The process involved starting a match, cutting the camera, filming the next piece of the match, and then splicing the material together. From back in the day. There is so much WWE programming in a given week that it can be pretty difficult to keep track of everything. That is the case at the moment, as WWE has four shows on television alone and ignoring all of their streaming shows. Some of them are a lot more important than others, but now WWE might be bringing back one of the most important shows of all time, but not as it seems. WWE is bringing back Saturday Night’s Main Event as a pair of live event specials. The shows will take place on April 23 in Montgomery, Alabama and on April 30 in Lakeland, Florida. There is no word on if WWE will be filming these shows for future release or if these are merely special live events. Saturday Night’s Main Event ran for thirty eight episodes from 1985-2008.
