Switcheroo: Former Longtime WWE Star Talks Changing Up His In Ring Style

It’s a change. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler and some of them work better than others. A slight tweak in how a wrestler comes off can change everything about them, either for good or bad. Occasionally a wrestler with a serious background might want to shake things up a bit and now an established veteran is going to be trying to do just that for himself. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: King Time: Jim Ross Provides Health Update On Jerry “The King” Lawler Following Stroke Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango during his time in WWE, was a guest on the Windy City Slam podcast where he confirmed that he had signed a one year contract to join the Impact Wrestling roster. Dango also talked about wanting to transition to a more serious style rather than his established comedy style. There is no word on how he plans to make such a transition, but he did say he was already enjoying wrestling more serious matches. Dango is a talented star. Check out what he can do in the ring: [..

Myers is defending in an open challenge and it’s……Dirty Dango (Fandango) for a surprise. Feeling out process to start with Dango hitting a dropkick to put the champ down. Former WWE Star Clarifies Comments, Not Retiring

Stick around for a bit. Wrestlers are a lot like other athletes in that they have to hang up their boots one day. That is a bit trickier for a wrestler though as it is rather easy to be able to stick around for one more match here or there, especially with so many promotions available. It seems that the news of someone no longer wrestling might have been a bit exaggerated. Earlier this year, Dirty Dango (formerly known as Fandango in WWE) said that he would be stepping away from wrestling in the next few months. The tweet also said “Goodbye forever”, which was taken to mean that Dango was retiring. However, in an interview with the Dropkick Podcast, Dango explained that he was not retiring, but rather not wrestling as much. Dango said that he will be putting more time into his construction business as well as having surgery on his knee. He also wanted to get away from Twitter, which he described as a very negative platform. Opinion: I can see why there was some confusion and thankful..

Former WWE Star Announces That He Is Stepping Away From Wrestling

It was nice while it lasted. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE’s history and some of them have done some very memorable things. While they might not have all had the same amount of success, all of them have been around for at least a little while, meaning at some point their career has to end. It seems that we will be seeing that take place again sooner rather than later. Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango in WWE, has announced that he will be stepping away from the ring in the next few months. He also says “Goodbye forever”, suggesting that he is retiring from wrestling. There was no explanation given for why he is stepping away from the ring. Dango, 38, has been wrestling since 1999 and wrestled for WWE from 2006-2021, when he was released. He has most recently wrestled on the independent circuit, including for the NWA. I’ll be stepping away from the ring in couple months . Goodbye forever . — Dango (@DirtyDangoCurty) March 25, 2022 Opinion: This is something that always f..

An Infamous WWE Stable Had A Very Different Original Plan

It isn’t how he drew it up. Stables have been a constant factor in wrestling for a very long time, with some of the most famous names in wrestling history having been a part of one at some point. They are an easy to understand concept and allow multiple wrestlers to get television time at once. There have been some rather memorable ones over the years, but one of them was envisioned very different. Heath Slater appeared on Stories With Brisco And Bradshaw and discussed the origins of 3MB. Slater came up with the idea of putting a stable together with him, originally wanting Johnny Curtis (better known as Fandango), Dean Ambrose and EC3 on the team. After pitching the three names, he was told that WWE already had plans for Ambrose and Curtis and that EC3 wasn’t happening. Three weeks later, Slater was told that Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal would be his band instead, as that is what Vince McMahon wanted. The team debuted on September 21, 2012 until June 12, 2014 when Mahal and McIntyr..

WWE Once Had Some Different Plans For The Intercontinental TItle

What could have been. Winning a title is one of the most important things that a wrestler can do in their career. It is a symbol that you have arrived and that the promotion you are working for sees something in you. There are a lot of titles floating around WWE these days but picking up some gold still means a lot no matter what it may be. One recently released wrestlers was ready to win something, but then plans changed in a sad way. Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango in WWE, was a guest on Insights with Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was scheduled to win the Intercontinental Title. Dango was scheduled to win the title but was then suffered a concussion during a match with Great Khali. Rather than explaining this to WWE, Dango continued to wrestle and was concussed again during a match with Zack Ryder. WWE then found out that he was injured and pulled him off the road. Dango said he believed Curtis Axel went on to win the title, which took place on June 16, 2013, less tha..

Several Former WWE Stars Are Now Free Agents, Can Sign Anywhere

Welcome to the fold. There are so many talented wrestlers on the free agent market today that it is hard to fathom. You have a lot of talented wrestlers in WWE and AEW but there are far more names outside of the two major promotions. That makes for some interesting situations as you never know when someone might pop up elsewhere. Now we have some more names available on the free agent market. Several names were released from WWE back in June, meaning that they would be under ninety day no compete clauses. Those clauses have since expired, meaning that main roster wrestlers released from the company are now free agents who are allowed to sign anywhere they like. These names include Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, the Bollywood Boyz, Marina Shafir and Killian Dain. There is no word on where any of them will sign, though Dain still has a few legal issues to sort out before he can sign. Several of them have commented on their new status: Today, I'm officially a fre..

We Missed The Last Dance. A WWE Tag Team May Be Done With Little Fanfare.

Well they were nice while they lasted. It’s hard to say where things are going to go in the WWE. You might see a person go from a singles wrestler to a tag wrestler to being a manager or almost all points in between. It’s the nature of the business and sometimes someone is a great fit in one area but not so much in the others. At the moment, something that seemed successful might have come to an end. According to Tyler Breeze via Twitter, his team with Fandango, collectively known as Breezango, may be finished. Breeze was asked on Twitter to name a tag team that didn’t get enough love. Breeze responded “Breezan…never mind”, suggesting that the team is no more. Fandango has been recovering from an injury and has yet to make his return to TV. It is currently not known when he will be back or what he will be doing upon return. Tyler Breeze Reveals How He Was Almost Fired Several Times In His Career

Tyler Breeze and Fandango were recently interviewed on Edge & Christian’s Podcast of Awesomeness where they discussed how Breeze he was nearly fired on several occasions. Fandango first explained how he and Breeze weren’t complacent and pitched gimmicks to get themselves on TV: “It was just example of, like, before tagging with Breezy, you weren’t really booked on TV, so it’s easy just to sit around every week at TV and being frustrated, but I think we utilized the [WWE].com guys really well, just kind of being proactive. And trying to almost, like, pitch our own little gimmick there and I think it’s just a good example of being proactive and just trying to make something happen. And I talk to Breeze all the time and we’re really proud of what we did because no one really gave that to us. We kind of put in the work for that.” Breeze explains that Vince McMahon didn’t understand The Fashion Files. However, he asked that they keep it going due to the popularity it had on social media: “..

The Backlash from Backlash: What’s Next for Smackdown

<p>They actually did it, you guys. The absolute madmen, they actually did it. Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton at Backlash to become the WWE Champion. Not only that, but he is the 50th person to hold the title. He’s now in the same league as men like The Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan.</p><p>Meanwhile, Kevin Owens retained the US title by trapping AJ Styles’ leg in an announce table. Natalya beat Becky Lynch (no surprise there) to pick up a victory for the Welcoming Committee. Shinsuke Nakamura finally had a match. Obviously all of these have repercussions and consequences, so let’s try to figure out how the Smackdown environment will change.</p><h4>The Tag Team Division</h4><p></p><p>Unfortunately, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tyler-breeze" title="Tyler Breeze">Tyler Breeze</a></strong> and Fandango were not able to pick up a win (and the Smackdown Tag Team Championship) at Backlash. They lost to the Usos, who resorted to sort of underhanded tactics to win. This “tainted” win will most likely mean that this feud is not over.</p><p>Unfortunately it really feels like the tag team division is spinning its wheels until the New Day can arrive. While they put on quite a match and won our hearts, Breezango ultimately feel like placeholder contenders to be fed to the Usos while New Day is on hold. With the Hype Bros out and American Alpha MIA (hopefully doing a hard reset), there was clearly no one else left to challenge the Usos.</p><p>This most likely means that Breezango gets one more match and then brutalized to give the Usos some heat. With the ever looming threat of the New Day hanging over the tag division, I expect the Usos will be keeping the titles warm for the them to take.</p><h4>The United States Championship</h4><p></p><p>Kevin Owens barely won the match. After securing a count-out victory, Owens proclaimed that he was better than AJ Styles. Styles, of course, will not take that lying down. He will most likely demand a rematch. Not that there’s anything wrong with that as they put on a great match.</p><p>Maybe at Money in the Bank, Styles and Owens will lock horns again. Hopefully this time there will be a decisive winner. The question is, will it be AJ Styles or will Kevin Owens hold onto the gold?</p><p>Styles has just come off one of the best debut years in recent history. He debuted in a WWE Championship match, was in the main event of two pay-per-views within the first four months of his WWE career, beat John Cena clean as a whistle, and became WWE Champion. Meanwhile Kevin Owens became Universal Champion, was unable to successfully defend it without interference, and lost to Goldberg in under 30 seconds. Who needs a win more?</p><p>I feel that Owens will retain the US title, which will free up Styles to re-enter the WWE title picture. That’s already starting to look crowded, but in a good way. Meanwhile Owens can defend the title against <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sami-zayn" title="Sami Zayn">Sami Zayn</a></strong> or <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tye-dillinger" title="Tye Dillinger">Tye Dillinger</a></strong>. Both of those programs show promise.</p><h4>The Women’s Division</h4><p></p><p>The Welcoming Committee have firmly established their dominance over the whole division (read: six people) at Backlash by making Becky Lynch tap out to Natalya. The backlash from this? We’re about to find out.</p><p>Charlotte is still gunning after the Women’s Championship, but there are other sharks circling about. Carmella can claim a shot at the title, because she pinned Naomi. As they say, you pin the champion, you get a title match.</p><p>Natalya, however, also may have a few words to say. She won the match for her team, which means she beat Naomi and Charlotte. She beat the champion and the number one contender. Surely that boosts her standing a little? Either way, Naomi has new foes to face.</p><p>She is probably going to drop the title soon, most likely to Charlotte. Hopefully this will allow for a Becky Lynch v. Charlotte match at Summerslam where Becky can pick up the win. It’s been so long since she has won.</p><h4>The WWE Championship</h4><p>The million dollar question now is this: what’s going to happen to the WWE Championship? Jinder Mahal is for sure not holding onto the title for very long.</p><p>Orton was kicking his ass decisively until the Singh Brothers came along and Randy casually murdered them. Randy Orton is not someone you want as your enemy.</p><p>There’s also Rusev demanding a title shot. While he hasn’t shown up yet, surely they’ll humor him. He’s on the hunt, and right now his target is Jinder Mahal. If all goes well, Rusev will have a match at Money in the Bank.</p><p>Money in the Bank. You know, where someone gets an opportunity for a WWE Championship match anytime and anywhere? That thing? Yeah, it’s happening next month. So now the champion has to potentially deal with Randy Orton, Rusev, and Mr. Money in the Bank. It could be Baron Corbin, or Sami Zayn. Heck, it could even be Erick Rowan. This is going to be an interesting title picture for the next few months.</p>

Two Shifts In The Betting Odds for Tonight’s WWE Backlash Event

<p>Heading into tonight’s WWE Backlash event, Randy Orton is now once again the favorite to win his match against Jinder Mahal, according to the betting odds being placed. Also, AJ Styles is the favorite to win his match as well. Back on Friday, it was the other way around for both matches.</p><p>Here is the updated odds for tonight’ show:</p><p><strong>WWE Title Match</strong><br />Randy Orton (-400) vs. Jinder Mahal (+280)</p><p><strong>WWE United States Title Match</strong><br />AJ Styles (-210) vs. Kevin Owens (+160)</p><p><strong>SmackDown Tag Team Title Match</strong><br />The Usos (-460) vs. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tyler-breeze" title="Tyler Breeze">Tyler Breeze</a></strong> & Fandango (+320)</p><p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tamina-snuka" title="Tamina Snuka">Tamina Snuka</a></strong>, Carmella & Natalya (-900) vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch (+500)</p><p>Shinsuke Nakamura (-2600) vs. Dolph Ziggler (+1200)</p><p>Baron Corbin (-1200) vs. Sami Zayn (+600)</p><p>Luke Harper (-380) vs. Erick Rowan (+260)</p><p><strong>Kickoff Show</strong><br /><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tye-dillinger" title="Tye Dillinger">Tye Dillinger</a></strong> (-825) vs. Aiden English (+475)</p>
