That should give us a clear path to Los Angeles so let’s get to it. We open with the recap of Vengeance Day. Here are Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes to open things up. Williams talks about how Hayes turned seer Apollo Crews into Stevie Wonder before Hayes brags about his win too. Hayes knows his destiny and there is one man waiting for him. Hand Them Over: Multiple New Champions Crowned At NXT Vengeance Day

It was a busy night. Title changes are one of the most important things that you can see at a wrestling event. A new champion being crowned marks a changing of the guard, as you have someone else becoming one of the to stars in a promotion. It can mean even more if multiple titles change hands in a single night, which was the case this weekend in the span of a few hours. There were two title changes over the weekend at NXT Vengeance Day. First up, Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. The win marks the first title changes for Henley and James and also ends the record setting reign for Chance and Carter at 186 days. Later, Gallus defeated Pretty Deadly, Chase U and reigning champions the New Day to win the NXT Tag Team Titles for the first time. North American Champion Wes Lee, Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and NXT Champion Bron Breakker all retained their titles. It was a busy night. Check out the tit..

Roman Reigns Addresses Rumors Of Facing The Rock At WrestleMania

Believe that. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed a number of topics. The biggest was the rumors circulating that he would be facing The Rock at WrestleMania. Below is what Reigns had to say: “That’s been the rumors — there’s been a huge buzz on that for a long time now. I mean for years now. But it’s really picked up in the last couple of years. “I believe he just came out with a statement saying that he’s not gonna be ready in time, which — that’s the kind of face everyone’s making, like, ‘Hold on, he trains every single day… He’s huge!’ “To his defense, it’s one thing to train with weights, and the bodybuilding to look the part. But to be able to get in the ring and do a main event match — a championship match, an Undisputed WWE Universal championship match — it takes a lot of conditioning. It beats up your body. “So there’s more that goes into it than just training in the weight room… it’..

Star Power: Former WWE Writer Reveals Discussed Jimmy Fallon WrestleMania Segments

You will almost always see some sort of celebrity involvement at the show and it can be fascinating to see someone come into the wrestling world. It can make for some interesting moments, and now we have an idea of what one celebrity could have done to make his WrestleMania appearance a special one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Slow And Steady: Update On WWE’s Plans For Drew McIntyre’s WWE Return During a recent edition of his Turnbuckles podcast, former WWE and Tonight Show writer Jon Rineman discussed Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon possibly hosting WrestleMania 34 in 2018. There had been discussions, but everything ultimately fell through and Fallon did not appear. Update On WWE’s Plans To Bring Up New Superstars

It’s part of a plan. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, the company has to make sure things keep moving. One of the easiest ways to do this is to bring stars up from the NXT developmental system. It can make a difficult task to find the right names to move up and sometimes the company needs to take a closer look. Now they might have a plan to do just that. According to Fightful Select, WWE is looking for more crossover between the Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT rosters. This includes NXT stars appearing on the WWE’s Main Event program, such as Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley last week and Von Wagner and Carmelo Hayes this week. There is no word on when or if any call ups will take place. Opinion: This is the kind of move that makes a lot of sense for WWE. For years, Main Event has been little more than the same collection of stars facing off over and over. Just mixing it up a bit makes the show feel that much better and it makes me wonder when some of them mi..

Three NXT Stars Make Main Roster Debuts This Week (Contains Mild Main Event SPOILERS)

Next three up. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster, to the point where the company can split its wrestlers into three different rosters. While Monday Night Raw and SmackDown are the main roster shows, NXT is right there as a third option. However, NXT is the developmental territory and a promotion means a lot for a star. Now three stars might be in for that treatment. According to Wrestlinginc.com, NXT stars Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley all appeared on this week’s edition of WWE Main Event, winning a tag match and singles match respectively. While not confirmed, this could mean that the three of them, who wrestle as a team in NXT, could be on their way to the main roster. Jensen and Briggs are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Opinion: I don’t know if this is going to go anywhere but it is nice for the three of them to get a chance somewhere. It isn’t like there is a big audience for Main Event in the first place so even if things don’t go so well, the ..

NXT UK Results – July 21, 2022

NXT UK Date: July 21, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We’re coming off of a title change last week as Mark Coffey FINALLY took the Heritage Cup from Noam Dar, ending his record reign. After the match, Joe Coffey made his return to celebrate with his brother as things seem to be going well for Gallus for a change. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Mark Coffey’s win last week. Opening sequence. Isla Dawn vs. Fallon Henley Henley forearms away to start and hits an elbow to the face before armdragging her into the ropes. That means a forearm to the face but Dawn sends her into the corner to take over. A running kick to the chest gives Dawn two and we hit the cross arm choke. Henley fights up and drives her into the corner for the break, only to get kicked in the head. Dawn hits a half nelson slam for the pin at 5:13. Result: Isla Dawn b. Fallon Henley – Half nelson slam (5:13) Sarray is happy to be here but stops ..

NXT Results – July 5, 2022 (Great American Bash)

NXT Date: July 5, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph It’s another special night this week, as we have the Great American Bash. That means we have a stacked card, including multiple title matches. The main event is Cameron Grimes challenging Bron Breakker for the NXT Title, which should be a heck of a match. NXT does well enough with these shows so let’s get to it. The opening video is at a cookout, hosted by Fallon Henley, Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs. Most of the roster is there, with Jensen enjoying the women in the pool and wrestlers making various wrestling related threats. Tag Team Titles: Cora Jade/Roxanne Perez vs. Toxic Attraction Jade and Perez are challenging and Jade takes Jayne down early on. A running knee against the ropes gets two on Jayne and it’s off to Perez to forearm Dolin. Back with Perez and Jayne trading pump kicks for a double knockdown, setting up a double tag. Jade takes over on Jayne’s arm and ..

NXT UK Results – June 30, 2022

NXT UK Date: June 30, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We’re back in England and the big story this week is the explanation from Trent Seven, even if it might seem pretty obvious why he turned on Tyler Bate. Other than that, we have Fallon Henley vs. Emilia McKenzie, as the NXT invasion continues. I’m sure this won’t be anything that annoys long term NXT UK viewers so let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter vacating the NXT UK Tag Team Titles last week, with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen winning them in the show’s main event. Opening sequence. Blair Davenport vs. Angel Hayze This is Davenport’s first match since injuring her ankle in November. Davenport throws her down to start but Hayze grabs a front facelock. That doesn’t last long as Davenport hits a basement dropkick and we hit the chinlock. Some running knees give Davenport two as Nigel gets in a Chamber of Secrets reference. Hayze c..

NXT LVL Up Results – June 3, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: June 3, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Sudu Shah The normal trend of this show is likely to continue this week as we have three more matches between people who aren’t usually going to make it to NXT proper. That can make for some acceptable background noise but rarely much more than that unfortunately. You get used to the concept though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Fallon Henley vs. Brooklyn Barlow They go to the mat to start and it’s a pair of standoffs before Henley grabs the armbar. An exchange of rollups get two each and Barlow wants her to bring it. Back up and they fight over a lockup until Barlow starts working on the arm instead. She cranks on the neck as well but Henley fights out with a faceplant. A running knee finishes for Henley 4:22. Result: Fallon Henley b. Brooklyn Barlow – Running knee (4:22) Tatum Paxley vs. Sloane Jacobs They grapple around to start with neither being able to ge..

Ouch: NXT Star Out Of Action With Injury, Tournament Changed As A Result

Catch you later. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen in wrestling as you never know when you are going to see someone left on the sidelines for a while. Any wrestler can get injured at any time and there is no way to know how long it is going to be before they will make it back into the ring. That is the case again, as an NXT star is out of action. As announced on this week’s NXT, Nikkita Lyons has suffered an undisclosed injury and is out of action for the time being. This includes Lyons being removed from her second round match in the Women’s Breakout Tournament. There is no word on how long Lyons will be out of action. Tiffany Stratton talked her way into the match instead and defeated Fallon Henley to advance. Opinion: That’s never good to hear and hopefully Lyons is back in the ring sooner rather than later. Assuming this is an actual injury and not a storyline, Lyons being out of action hurts a talented NXT women’s division. Lyons is not like many other stars i..

Ouch: NXT Star Injured, Out 6-8 Weeks

That could be worse. There are all kinds of injuries that could keep someone out of action. One of the worst parts about an injury is waiting to see how long the injury is going to put them on the shelf. It could be anywhere from a few days to several months or anywhere in the middle. That was the case again recently, as another wrestler is on the shelf for a little while. This week on NXT, Brooks Jensen was examined by a doctor about an arm injury suffered at the hands of Von Wagner. As a result, Jensen will be out of action for six to eight weeks, though the doctor had said that Jensen could have been out of action as long as ten to twelve weeks. There is no word on if the injury is legitimate or just part of the storyline between Jensen and Wagner. Opinion: That could be worse, though I’m not sure how long Josh Briggs is going to be able to hang on his own. The team isn’t exactly red hot in the first place but they were figuring out something with Fallon Henley involved. Hopefully..

Meet The New WWE Performance Center Class (14 New Wrestlers)

You have to restock the shelves. There have been all kinds of wrestlers released from WWE over the last few years. These changes have completely reshaped the company’s roster and those adjustments will be felt for a long time to come. At some point WWE is going to have to do something to replenish their roster, and now they are taking some steps to help take care of the problem. WWE has announced its latest class of 14 NXT wrestlers, who will be reporting to the performance Center over the coming weeks. Some of these names have appeared on WWE television before, though some are still waiting to make their debut. The highest profile names include former Ring Of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C and Fallon Henley, who has already appeared on NXT television. Here are WWE’s looks at everyone in the new class: Theresa Schuessler who debuted on NXT 2.0 as Fallon Henley, is a 24-year old Tampa, Fla., native with five years of experience under her belt competing in the independent circuit under t..

205 Live Results – January 21, 2022

205 Live Date: January 21, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett We are almost up to the Royal Rumble and that is not likely to mean much around here. Aside from the fact that NXT does not tend to get a ton of representation in the Royal Rumble matches, it is hard to imagine anyone on this show getting s chance in the match. Maybe this week can be more of a full show, as last week’s was cut a little short. Let’s get to it. Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley Henley is back and now she likes to dance. Legend powers her way out of an early waistlock to start so Henley goes after the arm. That earns her a hard shot to the face and something like a claw sends Henley into the corner. A belly to belly sets up a posing cover, followed by the chinlock to keep Henley in trouble. Legend sends her flying with a standing fall away slam but Henley is back up with a crossbody. That’s enough for Legend, who grabs her over the back torture rack to..

WATCH: Hulk Hogan Roasted On Tonight Show Over Controversial Tweets

It didn’t go over well. There have been a lot of wrestlers over the years but there are very few who have reached the levels of Hulk Hogan. Over a rather lengthy career, Hogan became one of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling and changed the way the industry worked for years to come. Since his retirement, things have not gone so well for him though, and that was the case again this week. Over the weekend, Hogan suggested that the deaths of celebrities who have recently passed away, including Betty White, Bob Saget and Sidney Poitier, were all due to them having received the Coronavirus vaccine. Hogan’s comments were mentioned on the Tonight Show, with host Jimmy Fallon saying that the jokes made him the Heavyweight Champion of Facebook. Hogan has not yet responded to the joke. Wrestling has been a part of talk shows before. Check out the joke (with Hogan’s section beginning at 3:00) and some other wrestling talk show interactions: [This post contains video, click to play]..

205 Live Results – December 24, 2021

205 Live Date: December 24, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph Just in case there are people watching the supplemental show for the minor league brand on Christmas Eve. Last week’s show was one of the rougher watches I’ve had around here and I can only hope that this one is a bit better. Having more people ready for a slightly bigger stage than the Performance Center would help. Let’s get to it. Ivy Nile vs. Fallon Henley Two weeks in a row for Henley and she gets a rather high energy entrance. Nile throws her down without much trouble to start but gets caught in an armbar. That’s broken up as well so some forearms annoy Nile a bit. A bulldog takes Nile down but she’s fine enough to power her way out of trouble. There’s a belly to back suplex and a running kick in the corner rocks Henley again. We hit the bearhug on Henley before Nile throws her down. The freedom is enough for Henley to grab a rollup for two and some ..
