That is some work. There are all kinds of things that go into making a wrestler feel like a star and one of the biggest is their physical appearance. It can be rather impressive to see how much someone can change their physique over the years and how much work they have to put into the process. Now a WWE star is showing just how impressive his change has been. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Trish Stratus Planned For Major WWE Feud Former WWE Universal Champion and current WWE star Braun Strowman has tweeted out a photo showing his physique from ten years ago compared to do. Rampage Date: March 10, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross We’re still in California and it’s the fallout Rampage from Revolution. I’m not sure what that is going to mean as you never know what you are going to get on this show. One of the bigger matches announced is Konosuke Takeshita vs. Preston Vance in a match Takeshita could actually win. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Sammy Guevara vs. Action Andretti Guevara is more than a bit cocky to start so Andretti takes him down and starts hammering away. Andretti sends him outside and into the steps, setting up a dropkick and moonsault for two back inside. They head outside again with Guevara getting the better of things for a change. Back up and Andretti sends him outside again for a dive and we take a break. We come back with a midair collision leaving both of them down. They slug it out with Andretti hitting a backbreaker into a neckbreaker to ..
Dynamite Date: March 8, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We’re done with Revolution and that means it is time to start getting ready for Double Or Nothing. That show is only two and a half months away so AEW actually needs to put some things together a little bit faster here. Other than that, we have a lot of fallout to get through so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Jay Lethal Cassidy is defending and everyone is sent to the back to start. Cassidy takes him down with an armdrag but gets reversed into a rollup for two. Back in and Lethal counters the tornado DDT but can’t get the Figure Four. They go outside with Lethal’s shoulder getting posted before going back inside, where he crotches Cassidy on top. It’s right back to the floor, with Cassidy’s leg being sent into the post and we take a break. Back with Cassidy winning a slugout and grabbing a suplex. Cassidy’s top rope D..
Dynamite Date: February 22, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We have two weeks to go to before Revolution and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. That is a little tricky when one of the matches is going to be a sixty minute Iron Man match, but AEW does know how to throw in a few surprises. Tony Khan has promised a big surprise for tonight so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta Only Cassidy is defending after Yuta wants revenge for Cassidy and the Best Friends forgetting about him. They go technical to start and get some near falls each until Yuta bails to the floor. Back in and Cassidy uses Yuta’s own Seatbelt rollup for two, meaning it’s time for another breather outside. Cue Claudio Castagnoli to slap Yuta in the face to wake him up. That’s enough to make Yuta counter the Orange Punch and send Cassidy outside for some whips into the barricade. A posting..
Tis the season. We are less than six weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start setting up the biggest weekend of the WWE’s year. This year’s show takes place in Los Angeles, California and just like last time, WWE is airing some parody movie trailers to tie into the Hollywood theme. The first one has already aired and features two of the bigger stars in WWE today. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That Looked Awful: WWE Star Helped From Elimination Chamber, Falls Going Down Stairs WWE debuted the first of its WrestleMania movie trailer parodies over the weekend at Elimination Chamber. The trailer features Seth Rollins as the Joker, dancing down a set of stairs. At the bottom, he runs into Batman, played by Becky Lynch but not wearing a mask. The two talk, ultimately agreeing that Lynch, who is not named, is in fact The Man. There is no word on when the next trailer will be released. This was different. Check out the trailer, a trailer for the trailers, and the original..
That could be bad. You never know when you are going to see an injury in wrestling. Someone can be in the middle of their match when something goes wrong and they get hurt. It can happen to anyone at any time and unfortunately all that can be done is wait to see just how bad things are. That was the situation again this weekend, as a WWE star seemed to get banged up during a major match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Two SmackDown Stars Tease Big Heel Turn Saturday night at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event, Seth Rollins gave Montez Ford a Stomp onto the area of the Elimination Chamber outside of the ring. Ford was pinned shortly after but required help to get to his feet and leave. He would also fall down while being helped down the steps. There is no word on the severity of his condition, or if the incident was legitimate in the first place, as Ford being helped out allowed Logan Paul to interfere in the match. It was a rough one. Check out a look at the match, plus Ford at full str..
To the other side? No matter how talented a wrestler might be, there is always going to be a time when they need some kind of a freshening up. Maybe they need a different look or a different character, but occasionally the right answer is a different direction. The most common version of this is to have a wrestler turn good or bad, and now two WWE stars are teasing such a change. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Second Generation Star Signs With WWE The main event of this week’s SmackDown saw Madcap Moss fall short in his challenge for Gunther’s Intercontinental Title. Moss had his girlfriend Emma in his corner, with Emma having hyped up his chances earlier in the night. After the match, WWE released a video of Emma and Moss blaming the fans for not supporting them. Emma later tweeted that they “deserve better”, signaling a possible heel turn for the two. After a huge win last week I was honestly a bit disappointed with the crowd reaction last night. We deserve better.. http..
Smackdown Date: February 17, 2023 Location: Bell Center, Montreal, Quebec, Canada Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett We are a day away from Elimination Chamber and that means this is likely to be the Sami Zayn show. Tomorrow night the hometown boy Zayn gets his shot at Roman Reigns and I think the people might be a bit interested. Other than that we have Gunther defending the Intercontinental Title against Madcap Moss. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of last week’s Usos/Bloodline drama, with Jimmy Uso getting caught lying about Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Hence Roman Reigns telling the Usos to stay home this week. Natalya/Shotzi vs. Ronda Rousey/Shayna Baszler Fallout from Rousey and Baszler hurting both of them. Baszler cranks on Natalya’s arm to start and it’s quickly off to Rousey for another battle over arm control. Shotzi comes in to actually take Rousey down, setting up Cattle Mutilation of all things. Rousey powers out but gets sent outside, allowing Shotzi to hit a pr..
NXT Date: February 14, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph It’s Valentine’s Day and that is not likely to mean much of anything here. We are about a month and a half away from Stand & Deliver and Carmelo Hayes is looking like a strong option to go after Bron Breakker’s NXT Title. Other than that, NXT has some work to do so let’s get to it. In Memory Of Jerry Jarrett. Grayson Waller vs. Tyler Bate Waller takes him to the rope to start the choking, while shouting that Shawn Michaels bet on the wrong horse. Bate grabs his own foot and swings it into Waller’s face, followed by a dropkick for two. A quick shot lets Waller grab a cravate with the knee to the face getting two more. The back and forth continues as Bate runs him over and hits a standing shooting star press for his own near fall. They go outside with Booker going on his latest long winded rant about how attitude will get you to Wrestlemania. Waller slides back in and ..
NXT LVL Up Date: February 10, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Blake Howard So somehow, we’re coming off what was an actually entertaining episode last week. If they can keep up that energy this week, it should be another breeze of the show. What makes it more confusing is that it shouldn’t be hard to send in another middle of the road star to boost things up a bit. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. We meet new commentator Blake Howard. Tank Ledger vs. Kale Dixon They trade wristlocks to start until Ledger takes him down with an armbar. An armdrag sets up another armbar and a World’s Strongest Slam gives Ledger two. Dixon manages to send him into the corner though and a neckbreaker gets two. Ledger fights out of a chinlock and a cartwheel into a splash gets another near fall. The running powerslam finishes Dixon at 4:59. Result: Tank Ledger b. Kale Dixon – Running powerslam (4:59) Axiom isn’t sure how to deal with a masked man..
Pull the plug. There are all kinds of ways to present a storyline in wrestling and some of them are a lot more effective than others. You can tell when something is working, but it can take a little longer to figure out that something is missing. When these things finally hit rock bottom though, it is often time to get rid of them and that is what happened with a recent Monday Night Raw story. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Read The Fine Print: Why Two Monday Night Raw Superstars Have Been Absent From Shows Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, John Bradshaw Layfield cut ties with Baron Corbin, ending their association. This led to reports that Layfield would not be back on WWE TV for the time being. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H pulled the plug on the story as he didn’t feel it was working. The story started after Layfield wanted to help rebuild Corbin after his latest losing streak, starting last fall. Corbin has talent. Check out what he can do in the ring: [This post..
NXT Date: February 7, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. We’re done with Vengeance Day and just shy of two months away from Stand & Deliver. It looks like we have a title match set up, as Carmelo Hayes stared down Bron Breakker, who retained the NXT Title in the main event. That should give us a clear path to Los Angeles so let’s get to it. We open with the recap of Vengeance Day. Here are Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes to open things up. Williams talks about how Hayes turned seer Apollo Crews into Stevie Wonder before Hayes brags about his win too. Hayes knows his destiny and there is one man waiting for him. Cue JD McDonagh to cut him off and say Hayes is entitled. While Hayes wants a private room at the club, McDonagh sends people to the emergency room. The match is made for later. Fallon Henley isn’t happy that Kiana James cheated to tin the titles and insists on a rematch. James isn’t sure, so Henley says they’ll tal..
Nowhere is safe anymore. Following last night’s NXT: Vengeance Day premium live event, Shawn Michaels did a media conference call to discuss the show. However, he was not alone, as Grayson Waller decided to make his feelings known. Waller interrupted Michaels during the call and shared his frustrations about not being HBK’s guy. Waller felt that Carmelo Hayes has taken that place, as was shown in the final moments of the show. Matt Bloom ended up entering the room and removed Waller before he took things too far. You can see the conference call below: [This post contains video, click to play] Grayson Waller just interrupted the #VengeanceDay media call! VERY angry at Shawn Michaels. HOLY CRAP!
