WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Could Bring Back Two Former Champions To Work With Bray Wyatt

He has them in mind. WWE’s roster has been changing a lot in recent months and there is nothing to indicate that those changes are slowing down. Several former stars have returned to the company and it can be fascinating to see who comes back next. One of the biggest names to return is now looking for some help and it turns out he has some people in mind. According to WrestleVotes during an interview with Give Me Sport, Bray Wyatt has some wrestlers he likes working with and given his current popularity, WWE would consider bringing them back in if they were interested. The two names mentioned are Wyatt’s brother Bo Dallas and former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. There is currently nothing to suggest that they are back with the company or that they will be returning anytime soon. Rowan left WWE in 2020 and Dallas in 2021. You might not remember them. Let him in too? The return of Bray Wyatt at WWE Extreme Rules has changed the main event scene of WWE and now the question becomes what happens from here. There are a lot of ways the story could go and since it’s something involving Wyatt, the chances of someone being added to mix is rather high. WWE has already teased someone new being involved and a former Wyatt associate is hinting that it could be him. Last week on SmackDown, a Wyatt vignette led to a cowboy who said “howdy”, though it was not clear who the man was. Shortly thereafter, former WWE star and Wyatt Family member Erick Redbeard, formerly Erick Rowan, posted an image of himself with his eyes missing, saying it was an “old photo”. Original Plan For Erick Rowan’s Giant Spider Revealed (It’s A Little Better)

There was something in mind. WWE runs a lot of different angles on television in any given year. Some of them are more memorable than others and you will occasionally see one that sticks out for years. That might not always be a good thing though and now we know the original plans behind one of the more infamously strange stories that the company has presented in recent memory. Back in November 2019, Erick Rowan began carrying a cage to the ring with him but no one could see what was inside. Over the next several months, whatever was in the cage proceeded to bite several people, including Rowan himself. The creature was eventually revealed to be a large spider, which was then crushed a week later. During a new interview with the 10 Count podcast, Rowan revealed that Seth Rollins told him the original plan called for the creature to be a pet rat. Rowan liked the idea as he felt it tied into his previous story where he tried to kill Roman Reigns. There is no word on why WWE changed plan..

That’s a plan. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the most effective ways to present someone can be to put them together into a big stable so wrestlers can get their own television time together. Now it seems that WWE is interested in putting together a bunch of people under quite the monster leader. Last weekend at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt returned to the company after a year plus absence. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt is expected to lead a stable called the Wyatt 6, a term he trademarked earlier in the year. Is that a mutiny? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. After so many years of WWE dominating the industry, there is now a new promotion on the rise that is allowing wrestlers a fresh place to go. That has been a game change, but at the same time, not everyone who goes there is going to be happy. That seemed to be the case with one star, but some others shut him down. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Ryan Frederick on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s message board, Bobby Fish tried to get Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to leave AEW and return with him to WWE. However, the two turned him down while Fish left the company, setting up his debut with Impact Wrestling this weekend. Someone Isn’t Happy: NXT Star Reportedly “Beaten Down” By Booking, Wants Out

Can you blame him? NXT is a pretty unique wrestling show, as it is designed to be both WWE’s developmental territory as well as its own promotion. That can make for some odd moments, as you will see wrestlers who have no business being in a minor league on the show for a very long time. It seems that one wrestler who has been in NXT for a long time is trying to get out but can’t make it work. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, NXT’s Roderick Strong is “pretty beaten down” by the way he is booked on television and has attempted to get out of the promotion. Strong has not been allowed out though, leaving him in a situation where he does not want to be there but is stuck doing so for the time being. There is no word on when Strong’s NXT deal expires. The acquisitions continue. Today, WWE announced its next “Next in Line” class of collegiate athletes who are allowed to profit off of their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). This program allows students to begin training in WWE while still attending colleges and universities worldwide. It truly is the end of an era. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful, NXT superstar Roderick Strong has requested his release from the company. He held the NXT Cruiserweight Championship from September 21 through January 4 of this year, where he lost to Carmelo Hayes in a title unification match of the Cruiserweight and North American Championships. Before Diamond Mine, Strong was a part of The Undisputed Era, which consisted of himself, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish. Former Champions Make Surprise NXT Return, Set Up Big Match

Welcome back? With so many wrestlers in WWE at the moment, it can be hard to find something for everyone to do. It doesn’t help when WWE seems to give up on someone and leaves them with little to do. One thing that helps a bit is NXT, where some wrestlers are being sent to give them some ring time. That seems to be the case again, with some wrestlers who have been a success there before. The Viking Raiders returned to NXT this week and defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. Roderick Strong brought the team in as a challenge to the Creed Brothers, with their match scheduled for next week. The Viking Raiders are currently on Monday Night Raw and are former NXT Tag Team Champions, having won the titles in January 2019. They are the only team to voluntarily vacate their titles, having vacated them on their way to the main roster. So Long: Former Champion Departs WWE

Fare thee well. There have been a lot of departures from WWE over the last several months and the majority of them have not been against the wrestlers’ wishes. WWE has released so many wrestlers that it has been hard to keep up with all of them, but not everyone has been let go. Now it seems that another wrestler has left, but this time it was their own decision to depart. According to Fightful, Kushida has left WWE. This comes after Kushida was attacked by Von Wagner last week on NXT, though there was no indication that Kushida was leaving. Kushida officially signed with WWE in April 2019 and spent his time with the company in NXT and on 205 Live. He won the Cruiserweight Title in April 2021 and held it for a little over five months before losing the title to Roderick Strong in September of the same year. Jump around? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be easy to forget where some of them are. To make it more complicated, sometimes you see wrestlers appear on other shows, which has been the case even more frequently as of late. Now it seems like it will be happening again, as three NXT wrestlers seem set to appear on another show. NXT wrestlers Lash Legend, Ivy Nile and Damon Kemp have posted photos of themselves in front of an NXT UK logo, suggesting that the three of them will be appearing on the show soon. Update On WWE’s Current Plans For The Rock At WrestleMania 39

You might want to get him. There are very few stars in the history of professional wrestling as the Rock. Despite not being around for very long compared to other top names, the Rock was regularly on top of WWE for a few years before moving on to Hollywood and conquering it as well. Even as a top movie star, the Rock continues to pop in to WWE from time to time though, and that might be the case again. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is still to have the Rock face Roman Reigns in a match at WrestleMania 39 next year in Los Angeles. The theory at the moment is that the Rock wants to have the match but his schedule could get in the way. Age is a factor as well, as Rock will be turning fifty years old later this year. Rock has not wrestled a match since 2016, when he defeated Erick Rowan in six seconds at WrestleMania 32.
