Missing Out Of Action: Update On WWE Status Of 39 Year Old Former Champion

That’s one way to go. With so many talented wrestlers in WWE, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. This can make for some strange and often annoying stretches where a wrestler is not around as often as they could be for one reason or another. Now we know something about where a missing star is and why he has been gone for so long. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Rare Breed: Rhea Ripley Reveals Special Privilege WWE Grants Her During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about the status of Roderick Strong. While Strong has not been used by WWE since October, he is still under contract with the company and has not been released. Instead, WWE is simply not using him at the moment. It is not clear what caused them to go in this direction or when Strong might wrestle again. Strong can be a star. He’s New: WWE Reportedly Signs Former New Japan Star

Welcome to the family. WWE is a huge wrestling company with all kinds of talent on its roster. Despite having so many wrestlers to pick from, at some point, some changes need to be made and new blood needs to be brought in. That can allow for some changes and upgrade, which is what we are seeing today, as a star from another promotion seems to have come over to WWE. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not So Fast? WWE’s Plans For Edge Seem To Have Changed According to PWInsider.com, former New Japan star Karl Fredericks has signed with WWE and could begin with NXT and at the Performance Center as soon as next week. Fredericks began wrestling in 2015 and trained at the New Japan LA Dojo from 2018-2022. His New Japan contract expired in August and he announced that he would not be re-signing with the company. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Could Bring Back Two Former Champions To Work With Bray Wyatt

He has them in mind. WWE’s roster has been changing a lot in recent months and there is nothing to indicate that those changes are slowing down. Several former stars have returned to the company and it can be fascinating to see who comes back next. One of the biggest names to return is now looking for some help and it turns out he has some people in mind. According to WrestleVotes during an interview with Give Me Sport, Bray Wyatt has some wrestlers he likes working with and given his current popularity, WWE would consider bringing them back in if they were interested. The two names mentioned are Wyatt’s brother Bo Dallas and former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. There is currently nothing to suggest that they are back with the company or that they will be returning anytime soon. Rowan left WWE in 2020 and Dallas in 2021. You might not remember them. Former WWE Star Posts Old Photo, Leading To Speculation About Bray Wyatt Connection

Let him in too? The return of Bray Wyatt at WWE Extreme Rules has changed the main event scene of WWE and now the question becomes what happens from here. There are a lot of ways the story could go and since it’s something involving Wyatt, the chances of someone being added to mix is rather high. WWE has already teased someone new being involved and a former Wyatt associate is hinting that it could be him. Last week on SmackDown, a Wyatt vignette led to a cowboy who said “howdy”, though it was not clear who the man was. Shortly thereafter, former WWE star and Wyatt Family member Erick Redbeard, formerly Erick Rowan, posted an image of himself with his eyes missing, saying it was an “old photo”. This has led to fans speculating that Redbeard could be part of the upcoming Wyatt stable, though it is not clear if that will be the case. Original Plan For Erick Rowan’s Giant Spider Revealed (It’s A Little Better)

There was something in mind. WWE runs a lot of different angles on television in any given year. Some of them are more memorable than others and you will occasionally see one that sticks out for years. That might not always be a good thing though and now we know the original plans behind one of the more infamously strange stories that the company has presented in recent memory. Back in November 2019, Erick Rowan began carrying a cage to the ring with him but no one could see what was inside. Over the next several months, whatever was in the cage proceeded to bite several people, including Rowan himself. The creature was eventually revealed to be a large spider, which was then crushed a week later. During a new interview with the 10 Count podcast, Rowan revealed that Seth Rollins told him the original plan called for the creature to be a pet rat. Rowan liked the idea as he felt it tied into his previous story where he tried to kill Roman Reigns. There is no word on why WWE changed plan..

Details On Wyatt 6 Stable, Likely Members And Characters

That’s a plan. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the most effective ways to present someone can be to put them together into a big stable so wrestlers can get their own television time together. Now it seems that WWE is interested in putting together a bunch of people under quite the monster leader. Last weekend at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt returned to the company after a year plus absence. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt is expected to lead a stable called the Wyatt 6, a term he trademarked earlier in the year. The members will be based on characters from the Firefly Fun House, with the following wrestlers portraying them: Joe Gacy as Huskus Grayson Waller as Mercy the Buzzard Alexa Bliss as Sister Abigail Erick Rowan as Ramblin Rabbit Bo Dallas as The Fiend Liv Morgan and the Dyad are also considered as possible members in the place of some of the other names. There is no ..

Recently Departed AEW Star Allegedly Tried To Get Other Stars To Jump To WWE

Is that a mutiny? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. After so many years of WWE dominating the industry, there is now a new promotion on the rise that is allowing wrestlers a fresh place to go. That has been a game change, but at the same time, not everyone who goes there is going to be happy. That seemed to be the case with one star, but some others shut him down. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Ryan Frederick on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s message board, Bobby Fish tried to get Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to leave AEW and return with him to WWE. However, the two turned him down while Fish left the company, setting up his debut with Impact Wrestling this weekend. Cole and O’Reilly are both currently out of action with injuries and it is not clear when they will be returning. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you do not hear about often but the cool thing is that it is happening again. There are now two companies which are fighti..

Someone Isn’t Happy: NXT Star Reportedly “Beaten Down” By Booking, Wants Out

Can you blame him? NXT is a pretty unique wrestling show, as it is designed to be both WWE’s developmental territory as well as its own promotion. That can make for some odd moments, as you will see wrestlers who have no business being in a minor league on the show for a very long time. It seems that one wrestler who has been in NXT for a long time is trying to get out but can’t make it work. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, NXT’s Roderick Strong is “pretty beaten down” by the way he is booked on television and has attempted to get out of the promotion. Strong has not been allowed out though, leaving him in a situation where he does not want to be there but is stuck doing so for the time being. There is no word on when Strong’s NXT deal expires. Opinion: Can you blame him for wanting out? Strong has been in NXT for more than a few years now and there is nothing to indicate that he is going to be moving up the card. I would assume that WWE thinks he is too small to be treated as..

NXT Results – May 31, 2022

NXT Date: May 31, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett It’s the go home show for In Your House and that means we are ready for the final push towards the show. Most of the card is set but there is always the chance that we will be seeing another match added this week. The main event is Nathan Frazer vs. Cameron Grimes, which should be a good one. Let’s get to it. Diamond Mine is coming to the ring but Roderick Strong tells the Creeds that they have the night off. Diamond Mine vs. Pretty Deadly Non-title and it’s Strong and Damon Kemp for Diamond Mine. Prince takes Strong into the corner to start and whips him into it again for good measure. Wilson comes in and gets kicked down so Kemp comes in, sending Wilson bailing into the corner. A slap to the face wakes Kemp up and he explodes on Prince, including a bunch of suplexes into a chinlock. It’s back to Strong, who again gets stomped down in the corner, allowing Wilson to for..

NXT LVL Up Results – May 6, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: May 6, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Sudu Shah We’re coming off a big NXT event on Tuesday and odds are that doesn’t mean much around here. What might mean something is the upcoming women’s Breakout Tournament, which very well could get some hype on this show. This is where some of the upcoming women have appeared before so maybe we get more of that this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tatum Paxley/Ivy Nile vs. Erica Yan/Sarray Roderick Strong is here with Nile and Paxley. Nile takes Sarray into the corner to start and it’s an exchange of wristlocks with Paxley. Sarray slips out and hits a running dropkick so Yan can come in instead. An exchange of rollups get two each and that’s good for a standoff so we’ll try Nile vs. Sarray again. A fisherman’s suplex gets two on Nile but she is back up with a clothesline. Some rolling suplexes set up a running kick in the corner and Sarray is in trouble. Paxl..

Former Champions Make Surprise NXT Return, Set Up Big Match

Welcome back? With so many wrestlers in WWE at the moment, it can be hard to find something for everyone to do. It doesn’t help when WWE seems to give up on someone and leaves them with little to do. One thing that helps a bit is NXT, where some wrestlers are being sent to give them some ring time. That seems to be the case again, with some wrestlers who have been a success there before. The Viking Raiders returned to NXT this week and defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. Roderick Strong brought the team in as a challenge to the Creed Brothers, with their match scheduled for next week. The Viking Raiders are currently on Monday Night Raw and are former NXT Tag Team Champions, having won the titles in January 2019. They are the only team to voluntarily vacate their titles, having vacated them on their way to the main roster. Opinion: As has been the case with other main roster stars coming down to NXT in recent weeks, I’m not sure how well this is going to go but at least the team is..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – April 20, 2022

Ring Of Honor Date: April 20, 2022 So this is the last episode of the Sinclair show and that means it is hard to say when the show is going to be back. That is quite the shame as I had been looking forward to this show for the last few weeks recently as opening the vault has offered a lot of gems. Maybe we can do that one more time. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. From Manhattan Mayhem IV, March 19, 2011. Ring Of Honor World Title: Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards Strong is defending. They shove each other around to start and Strong shoulders him down. Edwards sends him into the corner for some chops and a fireman’s carry faceplant has Strong down. A running boot to the face in the corner rocks Strong again and we’re clipped to Strong kicking him in the face and sending him outside. We’re clipped again to Edwards running into a boot in the corner and getting caught in the Stronghold. That’s broken up with a grab of the rope and we’re clipped again to Edwards backdropping him o..

So Long: Former Champion Departs WWE

Fare thee well. There have been a lot of departures from WWE over the last several months and the majority of them have not been against the wrestlers’ wishes. WWE has released so many wrestlers that it has been hard to keep up with all of them, but not everyone has been let go. Now it seems that another wrestler has left, but this time it was their own decision to depart. According to Fightful, Kushida has left WWE. This comes after Kushida was attacked by Von Wagner last week on NXT, though there was no indication that Kushida was leaving. Kushida officially signed with WWE in April 2019 and spent his time with the company in NXT and on 205 Live. He won the Cruiserweight Title in April 2021 and held it for a little over five months before losing the title to Roderick Strong in September of the same year. There is no word on where Kushida plans to sign next. Fightful has confirmed that Kushida has left WWE We'll have details as we learn them on https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDa. pic.twi..

Some More NXT Wrestlers Are Heading To Another Show

Jump around? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be easy to forget where some of them are. To make it more complicated, sometimes you see wrestlers appear on other shows, which has been the case even more frequently as of late. Now it seems like it will be happening again, as three NXT wrestlers seem set to appear on another show. NXT wrestlers Lash Legend, Ivy Nile and Damon Kemp have posted photos of themselves in front of an NXT UK logo, suggesting that the three of them will be appearing on the show soon. This comes after NXT’s Roderick Strong has made some appearances in NXT UK in recent weeks. There is no word on when they might appear or who else from NXT might be heading to NXT UK. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lash Legend? (@lashlegendwwe) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bobby Steveson aka Damon Kemp (@damonkempwwe) Opinion: This is a good idea and something that WWE should have started doing a long time ago. NXT UK Results – April 7, 2022

NXT UK Date: April 7, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for the big title fight as United Kingdom Champion Ilja Dragunov is defending the championship against Roderick Strong. It says a bit that NXT UK has to import challengers for Dragunov, but it isn’t like there is anyone around to give Dragunov a run for his money at the moment. Let’s get to it. The opening video looks at the title match. Opening sequence. Primate vs. Wild Boar The rest of Symbiosis is here and if Boar wins, he gets to face Eddie Dennis. They go straight to the slugout with Primate getting the better of things for all of a few seconds. Boar takes him down and stomps away before going after Dennis. T-Bone gets in the way and the distraction lets Primate take Boar down. That doesn’t last long either though as Boar knocks him into the corner and hits the big reverse Cannonball. T-Bone offers another distraction though and Dennis gets in a chai..

Update On WWE’s Current Plans For The Rock At WrestleMania 39

You might want to get him. There are very few stars in the history of professional wrestling as the Rock. Despite not being around for very long compared to other top names, the Rock was regularly on top of WWE for a few years before moving on to Hollywood and conquering it as well. Even as a top movie star, the Rock continues to pop in to WWE from time to time though, and that might be the case again. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is still to have the Rock face Roman Reigns in a match at WrestleMania 39 next year in Los Angeles. The theory at the moment is that the Rock wants to have the match but his schedule could get in the way. Age is a factor as well, as Rock will be turning fifty years old later this year. Rock has not wrestled a match since 2016, when he defeated Erick Rowan in six seconds at WrestleMania 32. Opinion: This is firmly in the “I’ll believe it when I see it” category, but if WWE can pull this off, and have Reigns face the Rock after a tw..

NXT Results – March 22, 2022

NXT Date: March 22, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett Stand & Deliver is coming up soon and now we have the main event set, as Bron Breakker will get his rematch against Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Title. Other than that, we have some qualifying matches for the North American Title ladder match and the finals of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Let’s get to it. Trick Williams and North American Champion Carmelo Hayes arrive and don’t care about who make it into the ladder match. North American Title Ladder Match Qualifying Match: Roderick Strong vs. Solo Sikoa Malcolm Bivens is at ringside. Strong grabs a choke to start as Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams join commentary. Sikoa fights out and the strike off is on, with Strong getting knocked down against the ropes. Back up and Strong knocks him down again to take over, setting up the reverse chinlock. That’s broken up and Strong chops up against the ropes with a ..

NXT UK Results – March 17, 2022

NXT UK Date: March 17, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd We have a guest start this week as Roderick Strong is coming over from NXT. That isn’t something that happens very often and I’m curious to see where it leaves. It very well may be a one off match, but it’s a little weird to see WWE suddenly caring about this show after years of indifference. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Scott Hall. Opening sequence. Oliver Carter vs. Tyler Bate Ashton Smith and Trent Seven are here too. Bate works on a wristlock to start but Carter slips out and grabs one of his own. They go to a quick pinfall reversal sequence and it’s off to an early standoff. Carter takes him down with an armbar and then does it again to show off. Back up and Bate hits a running dropkick out to the floor for a crash. Bate starts in on the ribs but gets taken down by a quick crossbody. That doesn’t see to bother Bate, as he is right back with the airplane spin..
