A different look. There are a lot of different wrestlers on any given roster, but some of them are even more unique as their significant other is also involved in the wrestling business. You do not see that happening very often, but it can make for a rather interesting subject. It might be interesting enough to take a special look at them, which is what WWE may be trying to do. Let him in too? The return of Bray Wyatt at WWE Extreme Rules has changed the main event scene of WWE and now the question becomes what happens from here. There are a lot of ways the story could go and since it’s something involving Wyatt, the chances of someone being added to mix is rather high. WWE has already teased someone new being involved and a former Wyatt associate is hinting that it could be him. Last week on SmackDown, a Wyatt vignette led to a cowboy who said “howdy”, though it was not clear who the man was. Shortly thereafter, former WWE star and Wyatt Family member Erick Redbeard, formerly Erick Rowan, posted an image of himself with his eyes missing, saying it was an “old photo”. This has led to fans speculating that Redbeard could be part of the upcoming Wyatt stable, though it is not clear if that will be the case. While there are some which are going to require some ice and maybe a few days off, there are some injuries which can end a career in an instant. Every now and then you see someone make a shocking comeback, and now someone is teasing adding their name to that list. WWE’s Paige has posted an image to Twitter showing her ring boots and the Divas Championship, among other mementos from her career, with a thinking emoji. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Paige is considering a return to the ring. Paige has not wrestled since December 2017 due to a neck injury, which took place less than a month after Paige missed over a year due to other neck issues. Welcome back. There are a lot of people involved in the wrestling industry every day but not everyone is going to stick around. Every now and then you see someone who has a strong career but then walks away from wrestling. That can leave a lot of people wondering what happened to them or if we will ever see them again. Now we will be seeing another former star again, albeit in a different role. Wednesday night, WOW Women of Wrestling announced their return, which will take place in December with a new television show airing in syndication. According to the press release, by way of 411mania.com, former WWE Divas Champion AJ Mendez, formerly known as AJ Lee, will be an executive producer of the series, as well as providing color commentary on the weekly television show. There is nothing to suggest that Mendez will be wrestling again. This will be Mendez’s first involvement in the industry since leaving WWE in 2015. Mendez was a heck of a star in WWE. One more for the road. The WWE roster has been changing all over the place in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that all of the moves are done. These changes have made for some very interesting shifts, including some names finally being let go after years with the company. There are some who were surprises for another reason, such as fans realizing they still worked for WWE. We seem to have another case like that. According to PWInsider.com, JoJo Offerman quietly left WWE several months ago. Offerman was brought in for the first season of Total Divas but mainly worked as a ring announcer. She did wrestle a handful of matches, most prominently teaming with the other Total Divas to defeat the True Divas at Survivor Series 2013. Offerman has been in a relationship with Bray Wyatt for several years, giving birth to a son and a daughter in the process. You might have forgotten her. The gold shifts again. WWE is in a state of flux at the moment as fans are being allowed back into the arena for the first time in well over a year. That is the kind of thing that the company has been waiting on for a very long time now and it seems that they are going to be making the most of it. There are a few ways to do that and one of them was on display this weekend. During Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay per view, Charlotte defeated Rhea Ripley to win the Raw Women’s Title. The win came via the Figure Eight, after Charlotte crushed Ripley’s leg using the steps. This makes Charlotte a five time Raw Women’s Champion to go with her five SmackDown Women’s Titles and one Divas Title. WWE also counts her two NXT Women’s Titles and Women’s Tag Team Title, billing her as a fourteen time champion as a result. Charlotte has won some gold. That’s a job for her. Every now and then in wrestling, you see someone who pops off the screen at you. It might be for one reason or another, but most of the time there is a level of charisma to them that you cannot ignore. That can open a lot of doors and it can even make up for a lack of in-ring abilities. It seems that we are seeing that take place all over again. On May 3, Eva Marie made her return to WWE television after a four year absence. This included the first in a series of vignettes with Eva Marie talking about how she wanted to help other women become stars. According to Fightful Select, the current plans for Eva Marie is not for her to wrestle, but for her to help get over female wrestlers over. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, prior to WWE’s press conference in which they made the announcement of Wrestlemania 36, the company handed a series of do’s and don’ts to the mainstream media reporters that were covering the event. It contained a set of instructions about the verbiage that media outlets can and cannot use when writing reports about WWE. After WrestleMania 31, AJ Lee quietly retired from wrestling and has not appeared on WWE programming since. She’s been busy writing her autobiography and becoming an advocate for bipolar disorder awareness. Every so often, she’ll be asked about a return to WWE. Even with everything happening with her husband, you can never say never. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, it seems very unlikely the former WWE Divas Champion will return to the company any time soon. AJ mentioned in her book that she made the choice to step away from the ring in 2015 due to some ongoing physical issues. Ringside News is reporting that several big names were backstage during Raw this week. We may now know why. A number of former Superstars and an NXT Superstar were backstage at Raw this week. The list of names includes Edge, Christian, Beth Phoenix, Funaki and Kairi Sane. From what we understand, all of these individuals were backstage to work on the upcoming season of Edge & Christian’s WWE Network show. Leading independent wrestler Will Ospreay has revealed his new finishing maneuver during a recent match against a talent from NJPW, as confirmed by Ringside News. During a recent NJPW show, Ospreay was scheduled to face KUSHIDA, who had got the best of him in the past. To the shock of everyone, including KUSHIDA himself, Ospreay debuted a new finisher. No more 'Rusev Day'? This past Tuesday on SmackDown Live a day after officially announcing her retirement from in-ring competition, former two-time WWE Divas Champion Paige was revealed as the new GM of the blue-brand. The former GM Daniel Bryan has returned to his role as a full-time competitor now that he is cleared. Paige's first move as GM came in the form of putting together a fantasy match between AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan for that edition of SmackDown Live. Before making the announcement Paige asked the fans inside of the Smoothie King Center who would they like to see Daniel Bryan go one-on-one with in his first match back on SmackDown and the arena erupted in 'Rusev Day' chants.
