Back For More: AEW Signs Former NXT Star

Welcome to the family? There are two major wrestling promotions in the United States with AEW and WWE. The two companies are both built around a rather strong roster and it can be a lot of fun to see someone go from one company to another. That is the case again this week, though this time it is a rare case of someone going from one company to the other and back again. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured the return of Cole Karter, who lost to Ricky Starks. Karter is the former Two Dimes of NXT fame, though he was written off of television last month after being released from the company for an unknown incident. According to Fightful Select, Karter has returned to AEW and is under a deal with the promotion. Karter had previously wrestled for AEW in 2021. Opinion: I’m not sure if Karter is going to be the next big thing in AEW but he does have a good look to him and some skills in the ring. That being said, AEW’s roster is already completely overloaded anyway and there is very..

Coming In: Two Former NXT Stars Appear At AEW Dark Tapings (CONTAINS SPOILERS)

It’s their new home. While WWE gets the most attention in the wrestling world, there are other promotions throughout the world, some of which have their own national exposure. It makes sense for those promotions to bring in former WWE stars when they have the chance and that seems to be what has happened again. This time though, a promotion brought in two at once. AEW taped episodes of Dark this weekend at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. During the tapings, two former NXT stars made their debuts for the company. First up, Cole Karter, formerly known as Troy “Two Stacks” Donovan defeated Mike Orlando. This is Karter’s return to the company, as he wrestled eight matches before being signed to NXT. In addition, Parker Boudreaux also debuted, appearing with Ariya Daivari and Slim J, though he does not seem to have wrestled a match. It is not clear when these shows will air. WATCH: Character Literally Killed Off On This Week’s NXT TV

Say hi to the fish. With so many wrestlers on so many wrestling shows these days, it can be easy to forget about someone. It might be a wrestler who does not get that much TV time or someone who has not had the chance to really showcase themselves, but at some point they are going to have to change something. Now though, another one might not be getting the chance to do so. This week on NXT, Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan was written off of WWE TV, seemingly being murdered by Tony D’Angelo and Stacks. Without going into detail, D’Angelo suggested that Donovan had come for the throne and was being dealt with as a result, by being thrown off a bridge and into a river. This comes after Donovan was released from his WWE contract over what was described as a policy violation. Donovan was not named in the segment. That’s rather aggressive. Check out how Donovan was written off TV: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I would much rather have Donovan dealt with like this rather t..

There’s Another One: WWE Releases Another NXT Star

He’s gone too. There have been so many releases from WWE in recent years that it can be difficult to keep track of all of them. With one wrestler after another being let go from the company, you might forget that some of them are even still around. Now another name is gone as well, though this is for a different reason than the mass releases that have become the norm. According to F4WOnline.com, Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan has been released from his WWE contract. The release is said to have been released due to an unspecified policy issue but he may be brought back in a year or so. Donovan was signed to the company in March and had been working as one of Tony D’Angelo’s enforcers in NXT. There is nothing to suggest that this will be the first of multiple releases. Opinion: That doesn’t sound good and I’m curious about what caused WWE to let him go. Donovan wasn’t exactly a star but he was in a regular tag team and getting television time. It seems like something that came out of nowhere..

NXT In Your House 2022 Live Coverage And Results

NXT In Your House 2022 Date: June 4, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph We’re back with another special show as NXT gets in on another WWE pay per view weekend. This time around they’re dusting off another classic with In Your House, which has very little to do with what we’ll be seeing. The card is fairly short but there are five titles being defended, making it pretty stacked at the same time. Let’s get to it. The opening video is based on the old In Your House intros, complete with Todd Pettingill doing the voiceover to run down the card. Joe Gacy gets to come through the house’s door and lights a poster on fire. Legado del Fantasma vs. Tony D’Angelo/Stacks/Two Dimes The losing team has to join the winners. During Legado’s entrance, the referee finds a crowbar, which seems to have been planted by D’Angelo and company. We also get a video with Tony Gallante narrating about how this is about controlling the streets and i..

NXT Results – May 24, 2022

NXT Date: May 24, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph We are less than two weeks away from In Your House and the show has already started to come together. There are still a few matches to be set up for the card but at least we already have the main event set. Unfortunately that match is another Joe Gacy title shot against Bron Breakker. Let’s get to it. Tony D’Angelo and company want to get their hands on Legado del Fantasma again. Stacks/Two Dimes vs. Malik Blade/Edris Enofe Stacks elbows Enofe down to start but a dropkick gets him out of trouble. That’s not enough for a real comeback though as Stacks takes Enofe down again and grabs a seated abdominal stretch. We cut to Legado watching in the back, but now they’re heading to the ring. Enofe fights up and knocks Two Dimes over enough to make the tag to Blade, meaning house can be cleared. A high crossbody gives Blade two but the goons take him down in a hurry. Cue Legado..
