AEW Dynamite Results – March 8, 2023

Dynamite Date: March 8, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We’re done with Revolution and that means it is time to start getting ready for Double Or Nothing. That show is only two and a half months away so AEW actually needs to put some things together a little bit faster here. Other than that, we have a lot of fallout to get through so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Jay Lethal Cassidy is defending and everyone is sent to the back to start. Cassidy takes him down with an armdrag but gets reversed into a rollup for two. Back in and Lethal counters the tornado DDT but can’t get the Figure Four. They go outside with Lethal’s shoulder getting posted before going back inside, where he crotches Cassidy on top. It’s right back to the floor, with Cassidy’s leg being sent into the post and we take a break. Back with Cassidy winning a slugout and grabbing a suplex. Cassidy’s top rope D..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 2, 2023

Ring Of Honor Date: March 2, 2023 Location: Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman So after a year or so of Ring Of Honor being a major part of AEW, it is time for the company to get its own show. That might mean quite a few things, but there is a good chance that we are going to be seeing a bunch of AEW stars around here. This show could go in a few different ways though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mark Briscoe vs. Slim J The rest of the Trustbusters are here with Slim J, who kicks away the Code Of Honor before the bell. Redneck Kung Fu sends J outside but a Mark Sterling distraction lets J get in a low blow. Briscoe is fine enough to kick J to the floor, setting up the dropkick through the ropes. It’s too early for the chair assisted dive so Briscoe strikes away back inside. Another Sterling distraction lets J hit a knee to the face, setting up a reverse DDT for two. Briscoe is busted open as J chokes away in the corner, followe..

AEW Dynamite Results – March 1, 2023

Dynamite Date: March 1, 2023 Location: Cow Palace, San Francisco, California Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s the go home Dynamite for Revolution and that means we have a stacked show. This time around that includes the Face of the Revolution ladder match plus a Casino tag team battle royal to determine the fourth team in Sunday’s four way Tag Team Title match. That should be more than enough to carry the show so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Big Bill Bill, with Stokely Hathaway, is challenging. Cassidy gets backed to the floor to start and the chase is on, with Cassidy messing with Bill’s mind. With nothing else working, Cassidy even steals Stokely’s glasses before tumbling away from Bill. Back in and the tornado DDT is countered into a side slam to plant Cassidy for the first time. A running big boot puts Cassidy on the floor and it’s time to set up the table (which they do move to the end of the ramp for once). Cassidy..

AEW Dynamite Results – February 8, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 8, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s a title themed show this week as we have two title matches plus a pair of eliminator matches. That should be enough to make for a good night as AEW tends to treat its titles seriously. The build towards Revolution continues and we should be getting some more added to the card. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Konosuke Takeshita Non-title. MJF’s offer of a handshake is brushed off to start so Takeshita hammers down some right hands in the corner. A knee is blocked and MJF sends him into the corner to take over. We hit the armbar, followed by a hammerlock DDT for two on Takeshita. Back up and Takeshita hits a quick brainbuster for two and a frog splash gets the same. Takeshita traps the legs and hits a Tombstone, followed by a wheelbarrow suplex to send MJF outside. MJF gets in a shot of his own and takes it back inside, with Takeshi..

AEW Rampage Results – December 9, 2022

Rampage Date: December 9, 2022 Location: H-E-B Center, Cedar Park, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We are a day away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle and odds are we are going to be seeing some of the very last build to the show. Other than that we have what should be a heck of a match between Konosuke Takeshita vs. Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy defending the All-Atlantic Title against a mystery challenger. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Moxley takes him down by the arm to start before it’s time to stand and trade chops. With that not working, Moxley bites Takeshita’s head in the corner and then chops some more. With Don Callis watching, Takeshita sends him outside and over the barricade as we take a break. Back with Moxley (bleeding) getting two off a piledriver but getting caught with a heck of a clothesline. Takeshita sends him to the apron, setting up a slingshot DDT for two back inside. What looked like a Blue Thunde..

On Her: Ronda Rousey Explains What Happened During Survivor Series Botched Spot

It wasn’t the plan. Wrestling is quite the difficult task, with all kinds of things that need to go right, most of which can be completely wiped out if something goes wrong. Anything could go wrong at the drop of a hat and more often than not, that is what will get the majority of the attention. That was the case recently and now we know a bit more about what went wrong. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Name Only: Vince McMahon Mentioned On WWE TV Again Last month at Survivor Series, Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against Shotzi. During the match, Shotzi attempted a springboard tornado DDT onto the apron, but Rousey’s head did not make contact as Shotzi fell to the floor. Rousey addressed the incident during a recent gaming live stream, saying she had never done that kind of a spot before. Coming into the match, she had been told to protect Shotzi at all costs and became so focused on that aspect that she did not take the DDT as she was supposed to. Rousey al..

Rampage Results – November 25, 2022

Rampage Date: November 25, 2022 Location: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur It’s time for the other Chicago show of the week and we have a title match this time around. The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are on the line as FTR defends against Top Flight, which has me wondering what is next for them at Final Battle. Speaking of Final Battle, it might be smart to announce something for the show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles: FTR vs. Top Flight FTR is defending. Harwood takes Darius down to start before quickly handing it off to Wheeler for some chops. Darius armdrags him into an armbar and it’s off to Dante, who gets forearmed in the head over and over. It’s back to Darius off a blind tag for a heck of a DDT and a near fall. Top Flight gets in some double teaming to take FTR down and they all brawl to the floor as we take a break. Back with FTR missing right hands and getting dropkicke..

Upgrade: Health Update On Missing Wrestling Legend

That could have been worse. There are all kinds of issues that a wrestler can deal with while they are in the ring, some of which are a lot more serious than others. Those issues do not go away after their careers are over though and sometimes the issues get even worse. That was the case for a certain wrestling legend, but now things have taken a turn for the better. AEW’s Jake Roberts has announced that he is no longer requiring oxygen and will be back in AEW again. This comes after Roberts has been missing from AEW television for several months due to reported health issues, including reports that he had been receiving oxygen through a tube. Roberts has mainly served as Lance Archer’s manager during his time with the company. It is not clear when Roberts will be returning to AEW TV. Off oxygen for good!! Standing tall doing great. At AEW AGAIN!! Sweet life I’m living!! — JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) November 16, 2022 Roberts has been around AEW for a good while. Check out some of..

Surprise Return With Big Character Change In Monday Night Raw Main Event

Welcome back. There have been a lot of changes taking place in WWE in recent months and several of them have involved the wrestlers themselves. This has included wrestlers reverting to characters and personae they have used before, often in NXT. These changes have opened several new doors and now we saw another one at the end of Monday Night Raw, with quite the change. The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Bayley face Bianca Belair in a non-title match. Near the end of the match, an unidentified woman dove onto the rest of Bayley’s Damage Ctrl teammates, taking down the referee at the same time. The woman was then seen to be Nikki Cross, formerly Nikki Ash and no longer wearing her mask. Cross then DDTed Belair to give Bayley the win. Following the match, Ash attacked Bayley as well. Opinion: This is one of those changes that makes all the sense in the world and leaves you wondering what took WWE so long to make the move. Ash wasn’t working so switching back to Cross mak..

BREAKING: Title Change Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

History has been made! There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner and some of them are among the most important in all of wrestling. It means something when someone wins one of the titles, especially if it ends a long reign by a former champion. That was the case again this week as a major title reign came to an end at the hands of someone who has held the title before. The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Bayley defeat Bianca Belair to win the Raw Women’s Title. The win came after the returning Nikki Cross laid out Belair with a DDT, allowing Bayley to win the title. This makes Bayley a two time Raw Women’s Champion, after she previously held the title for about two and a half months back in 2017. Belair’s reign ends at 206 days after she won the title from Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. Opinion: This is a title change that needed to happen as Bayley has been presented as the top villain in the women’s division since her return at Summerslam. To be a villain o..

WWE And AEW May Be Competing For An International Star Down The Line

He opened some eyes. There are a lot of talented wrestlers throughout the world and it can be a lot of fun to see someone pop up out of nowhere and become a star on the big stage. It opens up a new door and offers a variety of fresh matches for a bunch of people. That is the case with a new star in AEW but he has a few changes coming up and they could lead to something even bigger down the line. Konosuke Takeshita made his AEW debut on the April 25 edition of AEW Dark: Elevation and has since moved on to face various top AEW stars. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Takeshita is currently on excursion from DDT-Pro in Japan for one year and is currently living in the United States. AEW and DDT-Pro have a good relationship though and Takeshita would be allowed back at any time. In addition, WWE is said to be looking for a Japanese wrestler with a “large build”, which fits Takeshita’s description. It it unknown when Takeshita’s DDT-Pro contract expires or if he is interested in signi..

AEW Dynamite Results – August 3, 2022

Dynamite Date: August 3, 2022 Location: Schottenstein Center, Columbus, Ohio Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Taz We’re rapidly coming up on All Out but first we need to get through this weekend’s Battle Of The Belts, which is apparently a thing that is happening. So far there is one match announced and that means we will probably get the rest of the card announced. Whether that is in rapid fire or with more traditional announcements remains to be seen, but Excalibur is probably warming up his throat. Let’s get to it. Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy Cassidy rolls him up to start and knocks Lethal up the ramp, setting up the lazy kicks. Lethal crawls away but it’s Satnam Singh waiting at the top of the ramp. Cue the Best Friends, with Trent on Taylor’s shoulders, to be taller than Singh, who leaves for no logical reason. With that HILARIOUS visual gag out of the way, we get back in and Cassidy hits a high crossbody but the tornado DDT is countered into a dragon screw legwhip. Ca..

He’ll Be Welcomed Back: AEW Star Leaving Company For The Time Being

Please come back? AEW has done a lot of impressive things during its few years as a wrestling promotion and a lot of that has been due to its roster. The company has put together a mixture of current, upcoming and past stars to make a rather diverse roster. They have also brought in several international stars, but now one of them will not be around much longer. AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita has announced that he will be returning to Japan for a big DDT-Pro show and does not have much time left in the United States. He also said that he hopes to come back soon and that fans feel the same way. Takeshita has been appearing for AEW since April, facing such names as Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. It is not clear when he will return to the company. Your support really encouraged me!! I have to go back to Japan at the DDT big show on August 20. I don't have much time left in the US. I hope to come back to here soon and I hope you all feel the same way.#AEWDarkElevation https://t.co/0yy1Ri..

NXT LVL Up Results – June 17, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: June 17, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness Things are starting to take form around here and it makes for some more interesting shows. You can tell which names are going to put on a good match and which ones are going to be there as either cannon fodder or to get in some reps. That can make the show easier to predict, but not necessarily good, as tends to be the case. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Thea Hail vs. Arianna Grace Hail has the rest of Chase U with her and Grace now wears a feather boa to the ring. Grace powers her around to start before they fight over a wristlock. Hail’s arm is snapped across the top to cut her off though and it’s time to kick away in the corner. A DDT on the arm gives Grace two and we hit the hammerlock, with Grace slamming Hail into the mat for a bonus. That’s broken up as Hail fights up and hits a running flip neckbreaker, followed by an arm trap cradle for the pin ..

Impact Wrestling Results – June 2, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: June 2, 2022 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, Florida Commentator: Tom Hannifan We’re closing in on Slammiversary and in this case that means even more Eric Young. I’m not sure what that is going to mean, but the good thing is that things haven’t been too terrible so far. Young is set to challenge Josh Alexander for the World Title at Slammiversary but the show needs some more buildup first. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at last week’s main event, with Violent By Design beating Josh Alexander and the Briscoes. We get a new opening sequence, complete with a THIS IS TNA voiceover, albeit set to the current roster. Mia Yim vs. Savannah Evans Deonna Purrazzo is on commentary and Tasha Steelz is here with Evans. The entrances let commentary explain the still rather complicated Queen Of The Mountain rules. Yim fires off knees to start and sends Evans down early. Evans is right back with a DDT for two as Purrazzo talks about how she never neede..

NXT LVL Up Results – May 13, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: May 13, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness We’re in an interesting place on NXT as the show is now featuring some of the people who started here. It makes this one feel a bit more like a launching pad and that could open up some doors for something more interesting. Then again, it might have absolutely nothing to do with anything going on here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Sanga vs. Dante Chen Sanga throws him into the corner to start but Chen swings out of a slam to set up an armbar. A side slam cuts Chen off and some shots to the back of the neck make it worse. The cobra clutch sets up a missed legdrop and Chen hits a quick short DDT. Sanga blasts him with a clothesline and finishes with the chokeslam at 5:07. Result: Sanga b. Dante Chen – Chokeslam (5:07) Elektra Lopez vs. Thea Hail Lopez powers her into the ropes to start but Hal grabs a rather nifty headlock. Some shoulders stagger Hail bu..

Not So Fast: Wrestling Legend Refutes Reports About Health Problems

That’s an improvement. There are very few things sadder in wrestling, or anything really, for hearing about someone dealing with serious health issues. It happens with a lot of people, but sometimes you get a break and find out that things are not as bad as they seem. That might be the case again, as a wrestling legend is refuting reports about his health status. Earlier this week, Jim Ross mentioned that AEW’s Jake Roberts was dealing with serious health issues involving his breathing, which was keeping him off of AEW television. However, Roberts has responded to the story on Twitter, saying that it is untrue and he will be around for a long time. Ross has not responded to Roberts’ statement. Roberts has been serving as Lance Archer’s manager in AEW. Hey guys once again someone wants to make a splash on the internet and what better way is there than putting out Jake Roberts is in bad health. Totally untrue. I’m going to be around a long time. — JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) May 12, ..

All Time Wrestling Great Reportedly Dealing With Health Issues

Please don’t be serious. There are certain wrestlers who become legendary in the sport for one reason or another. You might see a wrestler become a legend because of how they look or talk, but some of them become such stars because of what they can do in the ring. It is special to see someone that talented wrestle a match, but now one of the best ever seems to be having some problems. During the latest edition of his DDT Snake Pit Podcast, Jake Roberts revealed that Ricky Steamboat was going through health issues. Roberts did not go into detail on what was wrong with Steamboat or how serious the issues were, nor has Steamboat commented on the situation. Roberts did mention that he hopes it is not due to the DDT that he gave Steamboat on the concrete floor during a match between the two in 1986. Steamboat retired from active wrestling in 1994 but has wrestled the occasional match since. Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Steamboat and I hope that it isn’t anything too serious..

WATCH: The Shield vs. Evolution From WWE Extreme Rules 2014

When factions collide. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between The Shield and Evolution from WWE Extreme Rules 2014. You can see the video in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: Evolution worked over their opposition methodically. “Bootista” chants rained down as The Animal worked over his prey, and Ambrose looked downright punch-drunk after an exchange with Triple H, which ended with a fierce spinebuster by the 13-time World Champion. The Hounds of Justice would not be denied, though. The trio’s Lunatic Fringe turned the tides with a DDT on Triple H, and once Reigns found his way into the contest, he turned into a one-man wrecking crew, taking out Orton, Batista, and Triple H in succession. The Shield looked to have the match locked up when they struck Batista with a Triple Powerbomb, yet savvy veterans Orton and Triple H prevented the pinfall. Reigns subsequently ate a Pedigree and an R..

AEW Reaches Working Agreement With Yet Another International Promotion

Join the team. There are a lot of talented wrestlers in the world today and thanks to the rise of streaming, fans are able to see more of them than ever before. Now you can see just about any wrestling show in the world at any time, which has opened all kinds of new doors for fans. A big time wrestling promotion has noticed that, and now they plan to bring in some more stars to their own shows. Over the weekend, AEW announced that they had entered into a working relationship with DDT-Pro Wrestling, which will see the stars of the Japanese promotion come to AEW. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this deal also includes stars from the women’s promotion Tokyo Joshi Pro. AEW’s Kenny Omega was said to have played a role in setting up the deals as he has a relationship with DDT-Pro Wrestling. There is no word on when the wrestlers could begin appearing in AEW. Opinion: The more the merrier in theory, as I don’t know if this is going to be much more than a series of cameos and showcase..
