Not For Him: 37 Year Old Second Generation Star Reveals Plans For WWE Run

WATCH: WWE And AEW Stars Pay Tribute To Impact Wrestling

With special guest stars! Wrestling companies come and go all the time and some of them take their leave without much fanfare. It can be quite impressive when a company manages to survive for a long time but even longer when they do so with some success. One major company was celebrating a milestone this weekend and they had some guest stars to help. Impact Wrestling held its Slammiversary pay per view this weekend in honor of the company celebrating twenty years since its debut. Several guest stars and surprises appeared on the show, including videos from Sting, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle. Also appearing were past company names such as David Young, Slash, Chase Stevens and Shark Boy, all of whom appeared in the Reverse Battle Royal on the Countdown show. Other previous stars appearing were Dixie Carter, Davey Richards, America’s Most Wanted and Christy Hemme. This is a lot of talent here. Former WWE Star Reveals Interesting Gimmick Planned For Him

That could have been different. There are a lot of things that have to come together to make a wrestler work out. If one of those things are missing or off, the whole thing might not come together. One of the biggest is the wrestler’s name and getting it wrong can be quite the detriment for a wrestler. It seems that WWE almost had a very interesting choice for a returning wrestler last year. In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Davey Boy Smith Jr. revealed that there were plans to give him a new gimmick during his 2021 WWE return. Smith would have worn his father’s vest and gone under the name the Stampede Stud. The plan had been for him to appear on SmackDown but he never wrestled on television before being released from the company in November 2021. Opinion: Honestly, Stampede Stud isn’t exactly a bad name and I could see something like this working. It sounds better than Davey Boy Smith Jr. or having the same nickname as his father. Smith was always in great shape and they co..

You Might Be Seeing Some Released WWE Names Again Soon

See you soon. Over the last year and a half, WWE has released a ton of wrestlers from the company. That is the kind of change that you do not see happen very often in wrestling and unfortunately it cost a lot of people their jobs. While it certainly changes how WWE works, it also changes how other promotions work as well. Now, some of those promotions are able to pick up more than a few new wrestlers as a result. On November 2, 2021, WWE released several wrestlers from their contracts. These wrestlers were on 90 day no compete clauses, which have now expired as of February 2. Therefore, the following names are now free agents and can sign wherever they like, appearing immediately: Keith Lee Karrion Kross Mia Yim Ember Moon Davey Boy Smith Jr. Oney Lorcan Gran Metalik Lince Dorado Eva Marie Nia Jax There is no word on where these wrestlers will appear. Several NXT wrestlers were released on the same day, but their 30 day no compete clauses expired in December. Opinion: This is the k..

Independent Wrestling Star Comments Over Leaked Pornographic Material (Safe For Work)

That’s a different kind of story. With all of the prominent wrestlers in the world today, there is bound to be a moment that might not go as expected. Some of these things are rather different than others and some of them might catch your attention. That is the case again, as it is a wrestler involved in a bit of a situation, though everything did not exactly go as it seemed. In recent weeks, explicit photos and an explicit video of former Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling star and current Major League Wrestling star Davey Richards were leaked online. This prompted Richards to issue a statement, clarifying that the material had meant to be gifts for his wife but were released without his permission. Richards also responded to a tweet making it clear that he was not upset by the incident. Well lol the vid was supposed to be a private one for my wife that apparently is now not so private lol. Oh well, it’s a wiener- they can look if it makes their day. But no, I don’t do porn – well p..

AEW Star Out Of Action Due To A Concussion

That’s never good to hear. There are all kinds of possible injuries in wrestling and you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Some of them can take longer to overcome than others, as some do not have the easiest path to recovery. Unfortunately that can be the case with a lot of brain related injuries and that is the case with one wrestler who is still in recovery. According to Wrestlinginc.com, AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. suffered a concussion during his tag team match with Griff Garrison against the Kings of the Black Throne this week on Dynamite. As a result, Pillman was forced to miss this weekend’s Warrior Wrestling event, with the promotion announcing Danny Bang as his replacement. There is no word on when Pillman will be cleared to return to the ring. Unfortunately, Brian Pillman Jr. is not medically cleared to compete tomorrow night in South Bend, so Chicago's hottest new rising star, the sensation of the Logan Square Auditorium…. WWE And AEW Both Try (And Fail) To Land Former World Champion

They tried. The rise of AEW has changed the way wrestlers are treated in wrestling, as now talent is sought after by both AEW and WWE, resulting in more lucrative offers. A lot of wrestlers have taken the promotions up on those offers, but they are not for everyone. That is the case with one independent star, who has apparently turned down multiple offers to join the bigger leagues. Davey Richards appeared on Vickie Guerrero’s Excuse Me podcast where he revealed that he has turned down multiple offers from WWE and AEW. Richards said that he did not care for televised wrestling, as it did not allow him to have the kind of matches and tell the kinds of stories that he wanted. He has since begun appearing with Major League Wrestling and other independent promotions. Richards has certainly made an impact. That would explain it. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the world works and the wrestling industry has been no exception. There have been all kinds of changes to wrestling since the pandemic began and some of them are still being felt today. While things are a lot better, there are still some problems which can arise, and that has been the case again with a promising star. Earlier this year, news emerged that Davey Boy Smith Jr. had re-signed with WWE. Smith wrestled a dark match and appeared in an interview on WWE’s YouTube page but has not been seen since. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Smith has been absent due to testing positive for the Coronavirus. He is now healthy though and was backstage at last week’s SmackDown in Baltimore. There He Is: Update On Missing WWE Star

Get his face off the milk carton. There are all kinds of names on the WWE roster and some of them get to be on television a lot more often than others. That can make for some interesting situations as you don’t know who is going to show up on any given night. At the same time though, there are some wrestlers who do not show up and now we know why one wrestler has not been around. Back in July, Davey Boy Smith Jr. returned to WWE, wrestling a dark match before an episode of Monday Night Raw. Smith appeared in a video after the match, saying he was back in WWE, but he has not wrestled since or appeared on WWE television. According to PWInsider.com, Smith is still with WWE but has not been assigned to a brand as of yet. His situation is described as “hurry up and wait” at the moment. You might need to get to know him again. Newly Signed WWE Wrestler Has “Disappeared”

Where did he go? WWE has made all kinds of changes over the last few months and it has been fascinating to see how everything shakes out. That might not always make the most sense, but at the same time, some changes pretty clearly needed to be made. We may have been seeing another such change, despite never actually seeing the person in the first place. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Harry Smith, better known as Davey Boy Smith Jr., has virtually disappeared from WWE. Smith wrestled a dark match before fans returned to WWE events in July but has yet to appear again for the company. There is no word on anything being wrong with Smith or any backstage issues. It is not clear when he will be wrestling again or debuting. You might (or might not) need to get used to him. Check out what Smith can do: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on wit..

Two Surprising Names Take Part In SmackDown Dark Match

They’re the new and old generation. Like any other entertainment or sport, WWE needs to bring in some fresh blood from time to time. This might be a brand new wrestler or someone who has wrestled for them before but not in a long time. It can make for some nice changes of pace and WWE has been catching on to that as of late. They tried something else this week. According to 411mania.com Davey Boy Smith Jr., wrestling under his real name of Harry Smith, worked a dark match before this week’s SmackDown. Smith and NXT’s Austin Theory teamed together to face Daniel Vidot and Odyssey Jones in a tag team match. This comes after Smith appeared at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony earlier this year to induct his father. In the following weeks, there were discussions of bringing Smith back into the company. In an interview after the match, Smith said that he was back in WWE, though there is no word on him signing a new deal. Holy shit! pic.twitter.com/eMkAt56aDM — ?Adam Goldberg? (@adamgoldberg2..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – December 9, 2020

Fusion #113 Date: December 9, 2020 Location: Gilt Nightclub, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Jared St. Laurent, Rich Bocchini Last week’s show was the best since the Restart and we’re in for some good stuff if they can keep that up. What matters here is capitalizing on the momentum and the big piece is in place as the Von Erichs defend the Tag Team Titles against Contra. That could go either way so let’s get to it. Contra says MLW hasn’t taken control of anything and promises to bring the heroes to their knees. Look at what they have done to Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Alex Hammerstone. Tonight, they come for the Tag Team Titles. Opening sequence. Zenshi vs. Calvin Tankman Zenshi’s legsweep has no effect to start and a dropkick to the back just annoys Tankman. A hurricanrana sends him into the corner and a kick to the head staggers the monster a bit. That’s about it for the offense though as Tankman plants him with a spinebuster and chops away in the corner. Tankman sends him flying but..

Therefore, it’s time for an eight man tag with Team Filthy vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr./the Von Erichs/Killer Kross, which could be a big deal. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at last week’s brawl which set up the eight man tag. Mance Warner has been attacked by the Dynasty and therefore, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is banned from the building. Warner will be in the corner of Richard Holliday’s mystery opponent though. It’s almost hard to imagine that MLW has this kind of a history but they have become a rather nice promotion and it’s cool to see them get to an important show like this. Let’s get to it. Fatu promises violence against Cima because it isn’t about wins and losses. Opening sequence. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is ready to shut Erick Stevens’ mouth because Stevens has been saying Smith is ducking him. Tonight, he’s knocking Stevens’ mohawk off and has the Von Erichs watching his back. Rich Swann Injured, What Is His Slammiversary Status?

Dang it. In today’s wrestling world, wrestlers often move from one company to another from night to night, partially due to how many companies can offer a lucrative one night deal. Some of these promotions are bigger than others and that means that one televised show can impact another. An injury can cause that as well, which seems to be the case again here. According to PWInsider.com, Rich Swann was injured at Thursday’s Major League Wrestling Battle Riot event. Swann received what seems to be a bad concussion during a tag team match when he teamed with ACH against Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. This presents a problem as Swann is scheduled to participate in a four way match at this Sunday’s Impact Wrestling Slammiversary pay per view. At the moment, Impact Wrestling is looking for a replacement in case Swann is not cleared to wrestle. This is what a healthy Swann is capable of doing. [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t too bad and Swann is..

Davey Boy Smith Jr. Is Wanted By Police Over WWE Hall Of Famer Altercation

Davey Boy Smith Jr. is in hot water following an incident between himself and WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts during WrestleCon, according to Ringside News. Smith and Roberts reportedly had a confrontation in relation to Smith’s legendary father. Roberts reportedly insulted Smith’s father and refused to apologize for it. This led to Smith throwing coffee at Roberts. There were battery charges out there on Smith, but F4WOnline has reported that Roberts will now be dropping the charges so Smith won’t face any criminal prosecution from the ordeal. To continue this Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that police have been unable to make contact with Smith. They cannot drop the charges until they get in contact. The New Orleans Police department issued the following statement: “Since this is a municipal charge, the victim can withdraw all charges by going through the city attorney’s office once the perpetrator has been located and either arrested or issued a summons.
